so you're telling me the 3k non pro is kind of... trash. The unreliable QR plate is big deal breaker.
Joby charging $100 for a PLASTIC leg on the newer GorillaPod 3k is absurd. Might as well get a cheap amazon knockoff since its all plastic anyways

Hey Tristan, great video on the Mini. Awesome camera work and use of b-roll! I have been wanting to pick one of these up for a while now. What is the battery life like per charge? Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. In terms of battery life, it’s advertised as 30 minutes, realistically you get around 21-25 minutes of fly time. There was a video where this guy tried to push both the distance and the battery life to its limits, I’ll see if I can find it and link to it, I think it’ll have a lot of good information for you

Can I mount my phone in 3k pro aswell?
As long as you have a phone clamp that can screw into a tripod mount it shouldn’t be a problem, however joby offers cheaper versions of the gorillapod specifically for phones if that’s all you need

I had the slr zoom (3k) for a year and using it not more than 10-15 times it broke up the balls on the legs started to pop out they lost their flexibility as result it become unstable.So hopefully 3k Pro is a lot more durable,which is the one I'm thinking buying.
I found that the pro is a lot more reliable than the standard version, with it being metal it adds a lot more reliability and the joints don’t become lose like the 3k. I find myself using it for everything that’s needs a flexible grip, not just the camera but lights and other stuff too
How’s the 3K pro holding up after months/years of use?
Still strong, joints have loosened a bit but in no way feel unstable. The legs still need a decent amount of force to adjust so they don’t feel like they are going to randomly give out on you even with heavier setups and lenses.
Just got mine on eBay cause they offer the square trade warranty cause I am sick of broken Joby junk. No where else not even Joby will honor their crappy product, trust me after 6 of them I love hate Joby. I will do a video once I get it and display my Joby cemetery
