hi just jani can you advise me where to find delrin blocks and metal pins
Hi, What you’re looking for is called a Bender Press Kit. They’re designed and sold by Flatwearable Artisan Jewelry. They sell both new and used. The kit attaches to a one ton arbor press that you buy separately. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with. Here are the links: flatwearable.com/product/flatwearable-bender-press-classic-v2a/ www.harborfreight.com/1-ton-arbor-press-59766.html?campaignid=425661431&adsetid=1155588618286049&product=59766&store=195
Looks good!
How donu choose what dye to use as I seen someone make a size 7 ring and one used a 16 dye the other used a 20 dye
You make an awesome design.
Thank you!
You made it very clear and informative Thank you so much for showing how it's done.
You're welcome!
Why don’t you drill the heart before you bend it?
If you drill the hole first and then bend it, the hole will spread open and your hanger or rivet won't fit correctly. Hope this helps!
@@JustJani OK, that makes sense
Thank you very much for your idea❤
You're very welcome!
Where can i get the attachments for the arbor press?
Sorry, I just saw this. The attachments are called a Bender Press from Flatwearable Artisan Jewelry. She designed and sells them. You can get new or used on her website. flatwearable.com/product/flatwearable-bender-press-classic-v2a/
You didn't mention what type of hammer. Was it rawhide, metal?
Sorry, I just saw this. Yes, it is a rawhide hammer. A steel hammer would make marks/dents on the silverware.
Uau

Cat video bomb 8:03 😂😂

FELICITĂRI, foarte frumos ceea ce a-ți făcut
Hi, what is that Torch Tool called you use? And where do you get one?
I'm so sorry I missed your comment. Here are links to my torch pieces. I never change my tips. I like the smaller one for what I do. Torch handle: a.co/d/6jtMUfG Torch tip: a.co/d/bPZmyAQ Torch tip: a.co/d/17fkFPt I didn't buy a hose. My husband did HVAC and had an oxy-acetylene hose that he separated so I just had the acetylene hose. My gas is a small cylinder of acetylene I get filled at a local store. I don't need oxygen because the torch pulls oxygen in from around it. Here is a video by Goss that explains how it works. ua-cam.com/video/E3BbsG7ss2c/v-deo.htmlsi=fTPLdG-HpLNvwdtV I don't have this one below. I bought my pieces separately, but if you don't have anything the kit is a good place to start. www.gossonline.com/air-acetylene-equipment/kits/feather-flame-kits-screw-in-style
Amazing!! ❤ thank you for the video
OMG my toes are curling and my teeth hurt. WTF is wrong with me? Metal on metal. Argh
😂
What size would you say this one is....a medium? Or small? Do you label them different sizes
Thanks for all the steps. Were your pieces, sterling, plated or stainless?
Hi, Mine are silver plated in all of my videos.
Love happy cats and cool rings! This is is such a cool design! 💍
😃Thank you!
OMG! So happy to watch & learn ur tips!! Have a suitcase of FORK! 😂😂
Awesome!🤩
Where do you get a press like that?
Hi there, There are two parts to it. There is a Bender Press Kit and an Arbor press. The Bender Press kit is from Flatwearable Artisan Jewelry. You can get both new and used. flatwearable.com/product/flatwearable-bender-press-classic-v2a/ The Arbor press is from Harbor Freight. www.harborfreight.com/1-ton-arbor-press-59766.html
That's really well annealed 👍
It doesn't "look silver;" it just looks shiny. If you polish copper or brass to a mirror finish, it's hard to see the metal's color because it's so reflective. But you've removed any remnant of silver plate with that file. This is a destructive cosmetic technique and damages the piece. Replating is the only way to restore it.
You should make a video on that.
@@JustJani, I only create videos about topics I'm knowledgeable about. I don't know how to replate silver. I was searching for that knowledge when I came across this video.
maybe a steel ball to be able to press it rounder and not risk the glass? love your videos!
Good idea!
What is that white stuff i side and how to get it out ....i reuse the handles
Hi! It depends on who made the knife and how old it is. Some have pitch, some have plaster, etc.. Here is a video I did on it. Hope it helps. ua-cam.com/video/JHw_lPJYBh8/v-deo.htmlsi=c9WbE0ISxkS1RMxP
Great Job showing us NewBees how to bend these forks and I really needed the education and I am also a Cat Lover and got a kick out of Chica trying to see what you were doing and talking to no one she could see~!! I liked and subscribed.
Thank you so much!
What material are they? I can’t find sterling or silver plated? Most I see is stainless steel, is that okay
Hi, Yes, you can use stainless, it's just harder to bend. You have to anneal it first. I get my silver plate from thrift stores, antique shops, garage sales, and facebook markeplace.
@@JustJani thank u I have been to 3 thrift stores and not much there!! Will keep looking
What did you cut with?
Hi, I have a mini band saw. You can also use a regular band saw or hacksaw if you have a smaller toothed blade on it.
💦. 🐳. Awesome ! Ty ☕️
Thank you!
Beautiful ring, may I ask for hints on how you find sterling silverware? I'm having the hardest time!
Hi, I go to antique stores and thrift shops.
Where do you get your rivet supplies?
Hi, I get my crystal rivets from Chair and Chisel. I generally only use 4mm and 6mm sizes. Just as a reminder, drill bit sizes for crystal rivets are: 4mm rivet = 1/16" bit and 6mm rivet = 7/64" bit. The hole is small bc you will use your center drill bit to drill a countersink so your rivet sits nicely. The rivet setting pliers are from Flatwearable. ☀️🌻. Awesome. Video thank ya ! 🐶☕️
Thank you!
just do it
Wouldn’t that just take the silver plate off? How about baking soda ?
It’d be worth a try.
So cute!
Thank you!

You were FANTASTIC
Thank you!
This is really neat
Thank you!
Chica didn't bother me. Lol. So cute. You are doing well. I love this.
Thank you!
Nice video. I’m new subscriber here. I have a cat that likes to get in my videos too. His names Gus. I’ve never tried annealing or softening silverplate forks. I always thought that it would mess up the silver plating on the surface. I’ve made many fork bracelets with the tines intertwined like yours. Have you ever tried electrolysis to replate your flatware? I’ve been thinking about looking into it as I can smooth a tine that gets a little chewed up but then the silverplating sometimes looks bad. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, Sorry for such a late reply. You can overdo it with the annealing and ruin your silver plate. Use the "sharpie trick" and they should be annealed just right. I have never tried to re-plate my silverware, but I saw a video where a lady did hers with a homemade set up. Hers came out great.
@@JustJani thank you. Electrolysis is fairly easy. I may add that option. Thanks again!
A great tutorial, thank you !
You’re welcome! Thank you!
Great videos! Do you annel these first so it is easier to bend? Thanks
Hi! Yes, most of them are annealed. Some of the old ones are soft and bend easily, but most of the time they are annealed.
Hi, where do you buy the pearling that goes through the heart ?
Hi! The piercings are called Industrial Piercings. You can get them on Amazon. Here is a link: amzn.to/3wphzSV
Where can you buy plastic mold and pins separately Harbor frieght doesn't have
Hi, The plastic tray, rollers, and pins are part of a kit called a Bender Press. There are several different kits you can get, they also have used ones. You buy an arbor press at Harbor Freight and put the kit on it. Also, join flatware/silverware bending Facebook groups. There is a lot of good info., and some ppl selling their used bender presses. Here are the links: flatwearable.com/product-category/all/benders/ www.harborfreight.com/1-ton-arbor-press-59766.html
Hi Jani. Thanks for sharing your craft. Will the crystal rivets tolerate the tumbler?
Hi! I don’t think so. I’m afraid to even try it. Even if they didn’t break they’d probably be scratched up.
Do you have any videos on removing the knife handles from the blades?
Hi! Hope I’m not too late with this. ua-cam.com/video/XtbiYZvW8R8/v-deo.htmlsi=CZEv4cH4U-YReoU7
