I think they should have allowed Aster to win against Sartorius. He would then get possessed by the Light, have his tiebreaker with Jaden, lose, and the Light would jump at Jaden, trying to possess him too, but it dies inside him, foreshadowing that he is the wielder of the Gentle Darkness

This was my favourite psp game as a kid, brings back so many memories.

Season 2 Aster was great and was a great foil for both Jaden and Sartorious. But ROS Aster...not so much.

Something i dont know if was intentional but neat to think about is destiny heroes are based on British culture while elemental heroes are based on American comic books. I wonder if they got the idea of british anti heroes and how aster doesn't see dueling as just being for fun from how alot british authors would often take or make more dark and nuanced stories in comic books

Honestly of all GX characters Aster felt like he actually had a conclusion, granted not a perfect one but somewhat good, he participates in the second half of season 3 (although where the hell was he on the first half?) and even though he didn't won he put up a good fight against Adrian and died like a champion and when revived he taught Chazz the worst lesson to a rich kid introducing him to a 9 to 5 job which makes Chazz understand that going pro means that he needs to go 100% and the fact that he basically duels until he bleeds because: "I don't have powers like Jaden or Chazz so I must compensate somehow" is amazing although weird considering in the filler he actually saw the Monarchs spirits but eh, whatever that said I would've love to see Aster being more engaged in season 4 since he would fit perfectly after all, He could have battled Sartorius, you know his best friend but with what we got, we could have gotten way worse

He deserved better, after the second season he disappears, he only comes out in the middle of the third season, and in the fourth season he is the tutorial for Chazz. One more duel with Jaden would have been nice, and more when he was supposed to have new cards and with them he could give Jaden a smile as well as Jaden did with Astro back in the day. That was the weird thing too, why are you going to give him new and powerful cards if he's going to lose every duel? I would have loved to have seen him in the Darkness arc.... (Sartorios don't say a single word about him, only his sister). And more so considering how dark his life is. If what happened with Axel was dark enough, with Astro? Uff. But I think it would have given a good closure to his character. But hey, another one of the victims of being forgotten in favor of Jaden or for the short chapters of season 4.

I don't think the three want to go back. Viper is finally with his son again. Adrian is in hell, and Echo is torturing the guy in revenge.

It was a good video, although maybe not quite as much sub version focus as I'd like, but there was still enough to make it stand out better. You made a good point about him relating to Echo due to him knowing what it's like to be manipulated. And his "death" in season three in the dub was a rare case where I liked the line better about him saying they are his friends. In the sub, he (and Zane when he "dies") just only focuses on Jaden. As for the only other better thing looking at it one way for Aster is season four never happening. I don't agree with you about "his" arc in it. It's because of how it's done. First, Chazz shouldn't even have been denied by the registration in the first place for the Pro Leagues since he had things that could have qualified him for entry on a resume already: winning the Genex tournament where a lot of pros participated, doing well at two duel academies including defeating the headmaster and every student at North Academy. Second, how tf did they have time to keep traveling around the world near the end of their last year of high school? Wasn't it time to graduate a long time ago? Xd And last, it sort of defeats the whole purpose of showing how hard Aster trains for the pros and everything he does for it he's gotten used to for awhile now along with everything he's done on the show (D.D. was technically world champion even, so Aster even bested that title) when Chazz-who they really don't show us that he's learning anything more about dueling during all this and is just really Aster's servant, and had not really anything of note for seasons besides getting brainwashed or "dying" for long periods of time-can just suddenly be better than all that without going through even half of what Aster did. If they had changed these episodes to not make them into a joke with Mike and show us Chazz actually learning things and still made Aster have an episode or two that was actually about him where he can defeat someone else, then it would have made more sense for him to lose to Chazz. You can't have character development without the actual development, and it was awful that Aster was only used for fodder in season four and didn't have a proper ending. He deserved way better than that and how Arc-V treated him.

This is one of the few times we get to see a mirror match or a deck that has similarities to someone else. I love Ying Yang duels. While Jaden plays Heroes for the fun of the game, Aster plays with a vengeance and their Heroes suit them perfectly

The only 'rumor' I'd accept in terms of a game where Akechi is alive is if an older Akechi takes up a mentorship-style role to the next group of Metaverse users, and one of the final Palaces/Dungeons/Whatever they end up being called being one based on Akechi himself.

I love equally tbh but like with Rosario vampire for example, the anime is cute and charming for what it is but the manga is dark, has a deeper naritive , characters we didn't see in the anime. Some would say the manga is better lol

Separate point about fan service. Shonen is aiming for young boys & I very rarely think my 13 year old self wasn't feeling it. My current self still can head canon Fire Force levels as it's literally a self defence mechanism, Soul Eater not so much.

Soul eater not is highly underrated and like anyone who talks trash about it or say they don't understand it literally never even focused on the context of the show

Season 4 is a mixed bag for me. At first, I was kinda living for how Judai distanced himself from the group. It gave the other characters room to shine and finally wrap up their storylines. Throughout Season 3, I was WISHING Manjoume, Asuka, and Sho would get some screentime, so when they did in the last season, I was excited. It’s crazy how the writers abandoned such amazing characters. Even Misawa didn’t graduate?? That was wild to me because he was one of the core characters in S1. I also didn’t like how Yubel barely appeared in the duels during S4. That’s Judai’s spirit, so why is she only showing up at the end? It’s such an insult to her character. And let's talk about the villain. I love his design, BUT... they didn’t do anything with him! It was mostly those Mr. T guys being menacing, but I wanted to see more of Yusuke. We only got that at the END with his backstory. I hated how they randomly inserted him into the story like, "Oh, he’s Fubuki’s former best friend!" That’s just bad writing to me. But yeah, I do think S4 feels off because Judai's voice actor wanted to leave.

I cannot with the 4kids dub names. They're so cheesy. Especially "Chazz" 😭😭 Great video, nonetheless!

I'm playing 6 and it's unfortunately so easy after all these hours that I can absolutely destroy anyone with Six Sam, what's more is that my partner also runs them and you know how crazy they can get with the counters... Tried Blackwing and Vylon but when there's no need to learn another deck, playing becomes repetitive...

Great video guys! I was a only child for 16 years so it was an adjustment when my brother came along lol. So deep take i really like Yin and Yang from the bleach movie diamond dust rebellion there both the main villians henchwomen but i do like there interactions with each other and there team work:) also there both 2 of my favorite colors and have awesome designs!

I appreciate your video as a summary of the show cause I met an actual fan of it who was encouraging me to watch it. Moe after K-On exploded just felt overdone. It's such a shame to hear that a lot of the backstory gets lost in the show of actual Soul Eater. I just finished reading the manga so I got all that backstory. The fact they waited until a prequel spin off to add back story to all the side characters??? Wild.

I love the Tag games but Tag 3 was really hard to grind for affection however it's storylines were cool though and props for them making partner characters like Fujiwara

I started playing Tag Force 3 for the first time yesterday and I was so excited to find out that you can edit your partner’s deck. Anyone who partnered with Jaden in TF1 knows how essential that feature is.

What made me LOVE Joey and always will is how much his deck actually progresses alongside with him. He went from having the most D-list cards to having the most absurd cards in history (for that era). Like my man had Jinzo, Insect Queen, Gilfried the Swordsmaster, Gilford the Lighting, Kunai with Chain, etc. His deck and combos (despite being silly sometimes) actually were so cool
