My father had passed away very unexpectedly under very tragic circumstances a couple of months before EW came out and I was severely depressed, and going through ultima Thule felt like torture but almost ended up feeling like grief therapy by the end. When these lyrics kicked in, I seriously felt like they had written and made this song for ME, to tell ME it was going to be ok. I'm sure there are a lot of people who had similar experiences. Anyway, just wanted to say you're not alone in this journey through EW and FF14 in general. Here's hoping DT is at least as equally painful/therapeutic. 😂

If you look closely, the world is extremely similar to Link to the Past! At the title reveal, you can see Eastern Palace off to the right! I'm suuper excited! This also means that this game is now a part of a trilogy with Link to the Past and Between Worlds!!

Finally Nintendo pulls the actual trigger and makes an actual game where Zelda’s the main protagonist. I’m excited 😊. They outsourced a couple of games to a different company and they made really bad games, one with Zelda as the main character.

I am so absolutely excited for this. And I never even played A Link to the Past! Or at the very least, I never beat it. Just played it at a friend's house as a kid since we didn't own an SNES. XD; The only top-down Zelda games I've ever beaten were A Link Between Worlds and Minish Cap. So hyped to make this my third! Especially since Zelda is my favorite character in the series and I've wanted to play as her for SO LONG!

It's so magical that Peter, Luke, and other FFXIV actors provide these amazing opportunities on Cameo! It brought back so many emotions I felt during Endwalker and made Nelenna feel so alive while I was watching this. I was in such denial about Thancred in Ultima Thule, it literally tore my heart to shreds when I accepted what was actually happening there. Thank you SO much, Darkojin! This was the most incredible gift and I'll treasure it forever! And big thanks to the talented Peter Bramhill! What a guy! What a Gunbreaker! ❤

Some say FF10 is the best FF bcs it made them cry and left a strong imprint as they were growing up. For my generation it was Aerith Gainsborough's and FF7. Trust me when I say that having lived in the moment those games were shiny and new, having played them, having waited for them for days and months in anticipation with only magazines to hype myself up, getting wrecked emotionally and feeling satiisfied by the end of the journey certainly makes me understand the people that say such things. Trust me when I say that FF14 stands, to me, head and shoulders above those games, because it wrecked me like none of those did, and at the added difficulty of me being a hardened by the school of hard knocks that is life cynical grown ass 40 year old. FF7 and 10 were playing on easy mode, while 14 was on frigging nightmare mode. This game is really something especial. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, so that we can relive those moments along with you.
