Beehive/Knit (mini-Plaits) Part 1: Basic Functionality
Nice. Just picked one of these up . Racked it up about 5 min ago and boom it was perfectly in tune and calibrated. No fuss at all. I’ve been looking for an oscillator just like this for quite some time.
Probably the best concise overview I’ve found
The order of things in this video is super confusing, you show installing the bus board first, then show video of installing the rails while the bus board is not installed, then say you have to install the rails before installing the bus board, then you install the bus board before installing the rails. please explain.
This is possibly the worst instruction video I've ever seen in my life :)))
my very next module , please take my money haha
I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile, thanks. I’ll be sure to get one.
Hey what is the frequency response in this mixer and also is it true what modulargrid says about possible pops in the mute buttons? As this mixer looks perfect for my use case but these two things i would like to know before purchase.
I like this video a lot! But maybe you could enlighten us why the module is called Rainier?
Do these use the Teensy 4.0 platform? Thanks
So its a clock splitter??
Atom is unrated.. sounds great and less than half the size or cost of Elements..
amazing job, instantly feel like I can dive in, thanks!
7:57 mind bending
OMG!!! you have a Milo Goes to College tattoo!!!! Can you do a Descendants song on modular???
Ok
QARV is very interesting but I am more interested in your opinion on your Tenderfoot Electronics Quad Quantizer (version 1).. I am ready for a 4 or more quantizer inside my rack and QQ2 (version 2) looks good.. what do think Professor..?
hi tim!
don't seem to understand the Dialectic Ping Pong mode. I send it a trigger but noting comes out. Tried all the settings but nothing seem to work.. maybe the module is broken?
Hi there wonder how should hook up cast iron, Mingles 2ch USB to Bartender if Is possible
this is the cutest way to explain a missing label
Hello ALA, I‘m not sure if I got the Quantizer right. Has ist two or four Quantizers? And can I configurate them individually?
two questions. One, can this version of mini plaits run in note quantize mode? And two, can it accept the plaits 1.2 firmware?
Excellent video! For someone very much interested in purchasing an Ornament and Crime, this video was extremely helpful! Thanks for sharing so much information with us!
so does that mean you can no longer use it as a lid? is there a spacer that fits between the two halves of your case so you join them w/ room for knobs etc?
That's an outstanding question! I just bought one and was wondering the same thing, as I plan on turning the lid into another case
I was blind, now Incan see 😊 Thank you for this great tutorial! 👍
pretty fuckin dumb that there is no tap lfo mode on peaks in any firmware where you can control the RATE of the TEMPO SYNCED LFO. It's actually crazy. Perhaps consider adding this to the DMC firmware. Way more intuitive to have a steady clock and the ability to change the rate of the TEMPO LFO with the first knob instead of attenuating the signal as the first knob currently does. Peaks instead expects us to change the rate of the tap lfo with a different gate signal, but this is super inconsistent and relies on the detection of the module rather than on demand by the user. Both should be available in a tempo based lfo.
I’ve got 20hp to spare. Set me up.
One weird thing about function generators as filters is that louder signals get filtered more, as opposed to an LPG.
The Shepard's Tone was awesome, I did not understand any of the explanation of the Quadraturia, but I still love your modules and wil play around with O&C again. I think I need more of them actually...
Cuet Gremlin
Bartender looks like best in the biz as far as function per hp on a mixer, nice work
Well, that explains a lot...
Those pesky gremlins...
Oh yeaaah baby ! Come come !!!
Very cool! What is the peak output voltage for each channel?
It's around +/- 10V
If that's for all 4 channels, I'm sold! I have some LPGs that need to see a full 10v envelope...@@afterlateraudio9976
Aw give us a clue
Okat now THIS one goes on my next shopping list towards you guys.
This will also be known as the Migraine-Ator to me, so not gonna buy this one lol.
Conclusion: I can add another Plaits in a smaller size instead of more Pixie (which I love already).
I purchased Pixie (Plaits) from you guys and only now I start to understand what I can do with it exactly, thanks.
are they soundwise any different from the orinigal Plaits ?
@@marsone-ek4xr I can not compare as I do not own an original, but I suspect them to be very much alike. Also, Pixie is looking very good, easily available and probably cheaper than a second-hand original.
Not a single comment about the descendants tattoo 😢
This must be the most expensive way to create a beat and I love it hahaha. I bought the Dice from you guys and thanks to this video I am sure I will get more out of that module. Thank you!
Oh no, there are much more expensive ways. Welcome to eurorack. Seriously though, Marbles is very powerful and I’d recommend it to just about anyone. Being able to quickly generate a decent sounding drum pattern that is perfectly in tune with your master clock is very useful.
My first wishlist for modular was sent to you guys, and I am happy with how your products look and sound so far (2 days in). There is a good chance my second wishlist will turn into an After Later Audio order as well.
Is A+B inv the same as A-B? Can this module be used for splitting mid and side from a L R input?
You can do A-B if take the inv output of the top section and then use the bottom section to add with A. The inv would be the equivalent to -(A+B).
Strange to hear the “technique” of many of the drummers I worked with described succinctly in a Synth demo..🤔
I just wonder how many people like theory without music??
Elements is a really overlooked module from MI. This, a BIA and drums (and a crapload of modulation) could fill a techno set of a couple of hours.
That’s too silly
Can you add the bottom and top of two different oscillator together in quarv?
Great idea! I just tested it out and I was able to get it to work with one external module. Channel 1 does inverted half wave rectification where it leaves the negative voltage in tact. But since the offset voltage is on ch1, I had to use Monocle (Blinds) as an offset to open VCA1. This is a great idea and I'll probably make a video clip for it soon! Here is the patch: Ch1: Attack/Release fully CCW, Offset Voltage Patched into VCA. Ch2 output patched into IN on Ch1. (IN/TRIG is set to IN) Ch2: Set as an oscillator bi-polar, that output goes into Ch1 IN as stated above. Ch3: Set as an oscillator bi-polar. Ch4: Set to +10v, output full, patch that output into VCA on Ch3. Then use the VCA output on Ch3 and you'll have a mix of both signals half rectified. -RAR
💕
Ok shepherds tone got me good.
with a white balance that has peed the bed, even more dirty laundry
