The differences you were pointing out were almost all actually differences between PU and EPS foams, not the resins like you kept saying. Polyester resin is objectively worse in every way than epoxy resin other than it being slightly cheaper. It's weaker, stiffer, more brittle, and doesn't last as long. If you prefer PU boards then get PU glassed with epoxy resin.

It's very common to find cracks in the corners of FCS fin plugs. That's part of why I went Futures.

These fin reviews are sick! Could you guys look at the Machado Pivot blackstix 3.0 or the Endorfins KS1? They both seem to be wide-based pivot fins with a smaller centre fin - it would be interesting to compare given their different constructions!

Anyone else find them too stiff ?I threw those into my dominator II and hated them. Not sure if it’s because the finboxes are too clustered. Tried both quad and thruster and never used them again. Ironically the AM1s felt “looser” Weird as didn’t think it would be pivoty enough but not sure if it’s to do with curve or size of the board (5’7) or my size / weight but Yh I never tried the endorfins again. Good money spent that at 100$…

Re-Introducing folks because apparently people didn't know channels have been around decades. Rode my first channel, a quad surfboard at Le Selva beach for my WSA contest in 1989 took second that day, 2-4 foot beach break. Still have pictures from that day as all my family and mates came to support me that day.

Wider tails, larger fins. Narrower tails, smaller fins.

Two different styles of twins. The roots are for performance twins the keels are more for that traditional fish board. Keels are tracky and draw longer lines than the higher aspect ratio templates.

How would you compare the Tokoro to the E6 legacy? size wise they are about the same, and same construction, is the Tokoro more raked than the E6 or is the main difference is the cant angle ? I just got a small wave performance board (js xero fusion) with futures after riding fcs2 for a long time and looking for a fin as similar to the pc carbon accelerator medium. thanks and keep up the good work

Awesome review and surfing 🔥 I usually run the performers in glass but gonna probably pick up some reactors after watching your guys video. Looked like they still had good hold through the turns despite being a bit more upright 🤙

very good guys, I was in doubt, between the performer and the reactor, after this video I decided on the reactor, here where I surf in Brazil, but specifically in the northeast, the waves are small and there is a lot of beach break. The reactors will provide better support for my surfing, thanks guys

You guys should get a little digital scale and weigh the fins. I just started doing it and its interesting as could also be a factor in small waves.

Yes, fins make a big difference to a board, like tyres/tires on a car/auto.

Have you tried the Dane Reynolds fins from Captain? It looks very similar to the AMs, I’m so curious about the differences.
