Long comment but I’m struggling on something unconn related. I’m a Mainer born raised still here. A primary hockey fan and grew up playing. Obviously UMaine is and has been my favorite hockey team period certainly college hockey team. Maine not having a D1 basketball team, I’ve been a UConn fan since Ben Gordon and Emeka Okafor won the championship. Well now UConn plays in Hockey East with my Black Bears. I can’t and won’t root for UConn’s hockey team. Guys do I need to find a new college basketball team? I’m truly torn. Or can you root for a school in one sport but not another? HELP!

Theres history with Vrabel and McDaniels. I bet Vrabes had talks with several guys during his yr.in Clevland. Id guarantee M. Vrabel had an agreement with McDaniels in place already knowing he was getting this job. It all just worked out way to conveniently this offseason in acquiring Vrabel. Id even bet Vrabes talked to Kraft when there was roomers of the Krafts talking to teams around the NFL last season about a third of the way through the yr. Supposedly inquiring on what to do to help Mayo. Remember that? Both parties knew in advance this was going to be the outcome back in November/December. Maybe right after the team got smoked by the Jets. Lets see what yhey do in free agency.

Josh Mcdaniels brings actual Mid quarter Halftime Offensive adjustments. Builds it into what players he HAS. He’s a guy that puts the defense into tough spots with his gameplan type of offense weekly

Josh McDaniels is the most qualified coach to develop Maye period. He has a proven track record of developing quarterbacks and as a play caller. The fact that he has a unique offense is an advantage, not a disadvantage. For 20 years the Patriots unique offense was a huge advantage because it’s harder to prepare for. Ultimately it comes down to talent and execution but that offense has a track record of producing with good talent and a great quarterback. Get a oline that is good across the board and develop Maye at an elite level. If you do that you will have an offense that you can compete for Super Bowls
