Hello, thanks for watching. Good questions! We love both forms of travelling, both have pros and cons. Backpacking is more unpredictable as you have less control of your travel(train/flight times etc.) that’s where van life comes into its own as you can go where you want, when you want so you get a real sense of freedom! However when leaving the van for while, you certainly worry about it, and all of your possessions inside. Where as, this worry is less when backpacking and it’s safe inside a hotel room. But we really enjoy both forms of travel, I’m not sure if we could pick one over the other! I think I would recommend van life to someone who likes their home comforts as you can have everything you would like with you. Whereas when backpacking, you have to be willing to go with out things such as clothes etc. We wanted to do van life for the adventure and to see more of the UK/Europe. Hello, we joined local Facebook groups and backpacker groups. We would put a post on, explaining what experience we had and what sort of job we were looking for. We also went around handing Resumes to local restaurants and fast food places. There is a lot of competition for jobs but you just have to put yourself out there and you will find one. Hope this helps 😊

Thanks for watching and commenting, we did make an effort to be ethical. We know there are much worse sanctuaries than what we went to. And we felt this sanctuary is much better for the elephants than what they had to do previously such as logging, and performing in a circus etc. But thanks for letting us know, we will continue to try and be ethical in the future.
