Oh and theres only one other type of yoga I can think of that comes up to Ashtanga and that's Acro-Yoga.

elpa- hahahahahaha. This is ashtanga yoga for those who wish to continue their yoga beyond beginners and intermediates. Always beatiful to watch and in some cases looks like contortionist- but all the same it is the flow of energy, that deep breath that makes it so amazing.

Well, i know one secret of Yoga, would like to share. If u pick up any asana and be in it for 3 hours contineousely; u will feel amazing peace and u get holly powers with gradual practice! I do sarwangasana and can do now for 15 minutes. Feels great, try it out.

I took gymnastics for 10 years and yes it makes you flexible but only in certain ways. I had really tight hips afterward and when I went to a yoga class there were several asanas (like pigeon) I couldn't do but my 'lazier' friends could. You prob. just think she looks like a gymnast because she is small. Ashtanga is a pretty rigid practice. And also understand that she's been training for years so of course her asanas appear "perfect"
