Vermont Black is a great looking textured blend looking roof. No two slates are exactly alike. More textured slate vs a SW Green. When you run into bad slates, it starts to make you feel crazy. Is this one good, is this one bad. You dont plan putting your most experienced roofer sorting slates. The normal problem with Vermont Black are the bumps on the front and back and they wont lay flat. One thing i will comment on are these new Vermont pallets/crates. Who ever is making these, they are garbage. Nothing like the pallets that all Vermont Slate companies use in the past. The old ones are hardwood pallets that you can restack anything on. Take down the headers, put them back in. The problem with these crates/pallets are you cant reuse them. Thats why they look like they do in the video.

Gudel Anabrang Kemarin ada kabar gembira bahwa pemerintah belanda mengembalikan sekitar 450 manusktip dan artefak asal Nusantara yg mereka ambil selama mereka berada di Nusantara..mereka menyimpan dan merawat dgn sangat baik.. Sebenarnya sejak tahun 2004..pemerintah belanda telah menawarkan pada pemerintah RI untuk mengembalikan artefak itu..tapi pemerintah RI justru yg terkesan ogah ogahan..dgn alasan blm memiliki teknologi dan kemampuan untuk merawatnya..aneh dan menyedihkan Tahukah kita bahwa di Museum Leiden Belanda,terdapat 26.000 manuskrip asli asal Nusantara yg dibuat sekitar abad 8 sampai abad 14..juga beberapa ratus lembar tulisan tangan era Islam Manuskrip manuskrip yang masih tersimpan itu terpalihara dengan baik.. Saat ini kita bisa membaca manuskrip manuskrip itu secara Digital..pihak museum menyediakan sebuah tablet yg bisa di klik untuk membaca bunyi manuskrip manuskrip yang kita ingin baca..karena tak mungkin kita membuka manuskrip itu secara langsung... Di tablet itu akan muncul isi manuskrip dalam bahasa aslinya..kemudian kita tinggal pilih ingin dalam terjemahaan dlm bahsa apa..karena terdapat terjemaahan dalam 24 bahsa dunia termasuk Bahasa indonesia.. Ironis dan tragis Saat kita ingin mempelajari sejarah asli leluhur kita sendiri..kita harus mencarinya ke Negara lain..negara yang jauh dan notabene pernah mempecundangi kita.. Karena ketika kita belajar sejarah di negeri sendiri..yg kita temui hanya sejarah palsu.. Awalnya saya marah.. Bajindol Belanda telah mencuri peninggalan berharga Nusantara..manuskrip manuskrip kuno yang tak ternilai harganya telah mereka ambil..dan pindahkan ke negeri mereka.. Tapi ketika saya menjumpai kenyataan bahwa justru jika dibiarkan oleh para arkeolog Belanda waktu itu..maka manuskrip manuskrip tak ternilai itu justru akan punah dibakar..dimusnahkan..atau dihancurkan Oleh bangsa kita sendiri yg otaknya telah teracuni Dogma..dogma yang merusak kewarasan.. Ternyata manuskrip yg berjumlah 26 000 lembar itu hanya 10 % dari jumlah yang pernah ada.. Pada masa keruntuhan majapahit dan awal masuknya islam..penghancuran penghancura kesastraan Jawa berlangsung secara masiv dan sistematis.. Dengan dalih mengancam kemurnian akidah Catatan catatan kuno tentang rahasia ilmu pengetahuan Nusantara Lama dimusnahkan..perpustakaan..tempat tempat belajar..tempat tempat pesanggrahan..tak luput dari penjarahan dan pembakaran.. Setelah menyadari hal itu..saya jadi malu pada mereka..malu karena ulah bangsa saya sendiri yg pekok karena ajaran agama api.. Terlebih lagi..saat berita berita pencurian benda benda pusaka marak terjadi di Indonesia..bahkan pelakunya kepala museum.. Seperti yg terjadi di museum Radya Pustaka Solo.. Melibatkan pengusaha Hasyim Joyohadi Kusumo..adik dari Prabowo Subianto Sepulang darisana..saya jadi muak pada pelajaran sejarah di Negeri saya sendiri.. Sejarah yg 90% abal abal yg diterima oleh anak anak dan generasi muda kita di sekolah sekolah Generasi yang tak punya kebanggan pada sejarah leluhur nya sendiri.. Mungkin sudah takdir bagi kita..bahwa untuk mengetahui kesejatiam sejarah.. Saya harus pergi ke Barat membaca manuskrip Sama seperti Bhiksu Tong yg mencari kitab suci ke barat Saat ini dibutuhkan pemerintah yg kuat dan berani serta nekad buat mengambil kembali pysaka pusaka dan harta warisan serta catatan kuno milik bangsa Nusantara yg dibawa ke Manca Negara.. Nice video. What is the slate shield material and how thick is it? It appears to be a polymer of some sort. Most polymers that are flexible tend to out gas the low weight molecules with heat and time and so the polymers becoming stiff and brittle with time. Just look at an old dash board of cars and you will see that these tend to crack after time. Also, while not exposed except at the spacing between the slate, UV light degrades most plastics quickly. If this happens then the shield leaks. What is its proven life time when subjected to the heat and UV of full sun and trapped under a dark energy absorbing slate. Also, I from your website I see that the hooks are of stainless steel 304. A good material. However, they have a desired darkened surface. The video shows that where the slate rubs the hook this dark surface is easily scratched off. I assume that it also wears off with weather and acid rain even where it is not rubbed. How long does the color actually last before these hooks start to turn stainless steel shiny? Do the slates leach acid or base as they age?
