    My autodrum only leaks with really fine grain like H110. I use a similar cup to catch it.

      Most of the components were custom fabricated from easy to find parts, let over bits etc... part of makes the project individual. I have a bunch of videos that show progress as well as another project that might help.

      Compressing it into the primer cup seems to hold it in place. Seems to consolidate ok.

    The LEE Die Lock ring rubber washer placed inside the Auto Drum body fix the leakage problem for me. My Auto Drum came well polished from the factory and it was still leaking CFE223 and A1680. The rubber washer took care of the problem. Its Magic! :)

    I knew I wouldn't be the only one experiencing this issue. Recently purchased the new Lee 6000 pro progressive press and the kit comes with this same relatively new powder drum (I had the old drum with auto disk kit). Been reloading 9mm and the Accurate #5 powder has been leaking out pretty bad. I'll give this a try. Thanks!

    Looks awesome! Very well done. It is not the way I like my coffee, so to say. I just like to keep my SKS as is. However, to each their own, awesome work. That is a beautiful rifle and you did an awesome job on the conversion.

    Pretty cool! I tend to like using the caps that have a disc come out as a whole verses the powder. But hey! It'll work in a pinch right?

    great work, but will the blackened steel be easily scratched off?

      It lasted quite well, alot better than paint. I think if it was sandblasted first it would be better because the oil would hold on better

      @@hardcase999 the design was beautiful in woodgrain but the black just made it featureless and frankly fugly. In black it looks like something a five year old would do.

      @@jussayinmipeece1069 I personally liked it in black. Not much of a woodgrain guy myself. That's my opinion though and I try not to offend people just because I see things differently. If it makes you feel better, the NZ government confiscated these and other semi auto centrefire rifles last year, so its probably crushed and melted down by now.       I hope this helps. I also noticed that if moisture gets into the powder, it can gum up the wiper inside and damage it. A wiper is a cheap part to replace if you need to.

    Thank you. Great bit of advice. Very happy with the metering of the auto drum, but was getting a lot of leakage from the fine powders.

    I polished the inside of mine with #0000 steel wool. It stopped leaking, and functions much more smoothly. I found your video just minutes after uploading mine. Between the two methods, people should be able to sort out their leakage issues.

    Exept the maintrigger as it is opened without any housing, I find this a very nice build! Mentioned trigger seems quite a bit unsafe, since you could release it by touching it accidentialy, I think

      That's a fair observation, although it is protected by the guard. Good saftey discipline should mitigate any accidents., although not 100%
