    Thanks for this. I put on all new hardware, seals etc on my truck except that. My doors on my 85 GMC still have to have to be slammed. I'll have to try this. Great video too.

    You can't use a regulator with a mechanical fuel pump? Im nkt a expert but the UA-cam Channel Muscle Car Solutions insists on using a regulator. Hes a amazing guy, will answer any and every question. At least he has fod me over the years. Very knowledgeable and works in the industry for a _very_ well know cam company. Just curious: What is the reasoning for not using a regulator with a carburetor?

      Daily driving the C10 since and no issues with the doors. Got a lot of suggestions on different things to use instead of what I showed. I will make a video fact checking all of them, some are interesting. Right now I’ve got my hands full with a separate project…videos will come back in 2024 😉

    Just replaced those door catches on my 1981 and I cant believe that fixed the "door slam" issue. I reused the old washer because so the paint would match. I would not use that cup holder what so ever. I have a Rubbermaid caddy that's sits on the floor right behind my gearshift.

    I think this was super cool and addition to this project maybe make a more pronounced Green lantern emblem and you can also add the button on the very back so when you make a fist it presses on the button and it'll light up. The back button could work as a one press so it stays on in a one press to turn it off and you can use the very same finger that's wearing the ring to do so another method could be that you rig stronger LEDs with the wires blatantly coming out on the back side of the ring but into a Green lantern glove that leads to a larger battery source you could even put a chip to do different type of lights or even project the Green lantern out of the ring or different shapes/constructs.

    not much wrong with the door striker jump in and try rolling down the window an inch doors usually close no problem these cabs were always very airtight keep things like strikers ,hinges, and bushings clean, adjusted, and lightly oiled and they will keep you happy and last longer.

  • @davidjessee7701
    @davidjessee7701 Рік тому

    Usually it’s not the striker that is the problem, it’s the door hinge bushings that wear out and let the door sag which in turn makes the latch not align with the striker… As you noticed there is a lot of room for adjustment. You pretty much just readjusted your striker… you could have moved the original striker just as easily! But you need to fix the hinges! Notice the body lines have your doors dropped a little

    I have an S13 so things are slightly different, but that line that wasn't hooked to anything normally goes to a charcoal canister of some sort. The canister is often deleted, but (and I'm no expert either, so do your own research) I think it's still a good idea to have the vent to the fuel tank connected, and the check valve in place as it keeps gas from pouring down the vent line in the case of a rollover.

    Haven't replaced mine yet, but I just ordered a pair. I noticed one set was torx and the new set was allen or whatever its called. Before I do mine, I'm going to draw a center line on each side of the bolt and outline the Jumbo washers on the bolt to make sure it goes back where it was. Might put a dab of the weakest Loc-tite on it before cranking it down.
