Deck Cable Rail Options
The concept of cable rails is very enticing since they have a modern, minimalist look. However, they do cost more than standard rails and require some unexpected maintenance.

THANK YOU you are a legend
Beautiful!
What’s with the headphones
By this definition, moisture would wick outside in winter and inside in summer which it the exact opposite of what you want. Is his explanation backwards or is there something missing from this explanation?
They want to remove lead from our house so their radiation is easier to penetrate. It’s also how they are brainwashing people.
I have one of those manifolds in my house. How reliable are those valves? I turned one off a few times and now the valve only slows the water flow.
Are you still using Houzz Pro? Do you still like it? Have you tried the AI features?
How often the filter should be clean ?
Is this necessary on warm and humid climates?
My whirlpool duet has the filter accessible from the back.
Houzz Pro is scam! I accidentally signed up for it, and now they are trying to charge me like $129.99 for a service I can't even use. I'm just a homeowner.
Do yall sell awnings online? I’m looking for something nice and gonna install it myself.
Is it Plywood or OSB? There's a significant difference.
Thank you so much ! You saved me a service call! The filter was full of dog hair! We dog sit so wash dog covers , beds, etc. we also found 2 paper clips and a few coins. Washer is working now! Thank you again!
Details are everything
What’s the brand name and model of this awning? How much? I’m looking for a high quality awning and this one looks nice!!
I can not for the life of me get the cap to turn! Any suggestions?
Grab it with a pair of channel lock style pliers. It's tight for the first turn, then much easier. Before you put it back on I suggest greasing the O-ring seal with a liberal application of Vaseline so that it won't stick the next time you want to remove it.
So all of that introduction to simply hear him say Cooktops.... I feel catfished.
Quick meals are always a win!🙌
Great system if you want to heat your ceilings. Hot air rises - installing heat registers on the walls up near the ceiling would be terribly inefficient to warm anyone standing or sitting or walking near the floors.
Lol how does heat cook differently? Its heat cooking the food
Great question. We created the video because someone blew up the comments on LI stating that induction boils water quickly but cannot cook eggs. The main difference with induction is that you can reach the set temperature much faster, and it is easier to control the temperature over gas and electricity. Your point about heat is accurate- the surface of the pan/ pot is what cooks the food.
I've cooked on induction for decades, it's great for big amounts of meat
Thanks for sharing. The temperature control is great for meat, so they don't burn.
I rather cook on a wood stove or gas
We just replaced our gas range with induction, and my family prefers induction to gas. You should try it out.
My parents in their '70s switched to induction in 2022 after I switched to induction back in 2020 best decision either of us made we absolutely love induction never had any problems or any weird textures cuz of the induction. Never actually heard that before you can't cook eggs or certain things on induction I've never experienced any difficulties. I will say I do have over a decade of short order cook skills. @@SawHorseDesignBuild
@@rickydaniel2940 Great feedback.
@SawHorseDesignBuild we cook with wood at the house. I cook with gas at work, and I have tried to induction over at inlaws. I know this probably sounds stupid, but it just doesn't feel the same while cooking. I guess it just all boils down to personal preference
Your hands were in the way. Needed closeup.
Thank you🙏🏼
Very helpful video thank you!
Lead Paint Blocks Radiation 🚫.. We Have no more protection 😢😬🤕😳
Has the issue with cold weather installations been resolved?
great idea, whatcha doing with the chairs when the cooktop is concealed?
With that proximity won’t I just intake the air I’m exhausting?
Yes as the long as it can stand 200 lb vertically and 100 lb horizontally❤
My washer is on a pedestal. There's no way I will be able to pull it out myself. Dang.
any suggestions if it's a stacked washer and dryer? there's no way we can access this from the front?
Dang, thanks so much. Saved the day, had a paper towel blocking the water filter.
My Whirlpool set the clock filter according to the code I cleaned out the hose but I didn't know how to get to the filter now I know thank you and I hope that works these washing machines are not cheap
Anyone know why the pump is still running after draining the water out?
I am beyond annoyed that Whirlpool designed this machine to make it so difficult to clean the filter, when almost every other vendor makes it accessible from the front. Just zero regard for the customer. I'll never buy a Whirlpool appliance (I didn't buy the one I have now--it came with the house).
Whirlpool is such a garbage manufacturer, reward good companies like LG or Samsung that actually manufacturer good products.
How about the difference with the sound between the two?
I have a 720 square foot entertainment room in the basement. Open floor joists. If i use safe and sound between the floor joists in the whole basement is it worth the 1k price for sound deadening echo reduction? there's so much misinformation on the web... I get conflicting information. Was going to get 80 yards of fabric to stretch and pin to the face you see to make it look right. I dont want to drywall the ceiling. Curious if this will yield any results in making the room less lively as far as reflecting sound for hifi and movies and when I'm playing pool. Also ull get some benefit from the r value
THANK YOU!!!!! I had a hard time finding a video with a washer like mine without the front door access to the filter. I truly appreciate your time creating this video. SO helpful!
Just had a thought when you were talking about the difficulty of routing duct along the curved surface. If they used something like a normal (heavy gauge) quonset hut shell as the form for the shot-crete, that would leave a several-inch-deep rib on the inside. I wonder if one could take some flat sheet metal, enclose one of those ribs and seal it with duct sealant, and use the rib itself as the duct to go up the wall to the second floor or even across to the other side of the structure. Or that could just be a dumb idea. EDIT: Sorry, still watching. You said we have to have two intakes and two exhausts. Do we have to? Can we not combine the two intakes and two exhausts into a single wall penetration if we size the vent pipe correctly? Like, if we need 100cfm for the ERV and, idk, 600cfm for makeup air, instead of having a 6in and 12in hole in the side of the house, could we not just upsize the MUA intake pipe near the wall penetration to 13 or 14 inch and plumb the ERV intake into that section? Probably need to add some backdraft dampers, now that I'm working it through in my head, so there wouldn't be any cost savings but that would be two fewer penetrations and that's usually a good thing. /le shrug
Perfect. What did people do before UA-cam?
So, my in-laws do this too. The thing they’ve discovered about the upstairs guest bedrooms is that someone has to go up there to clean them, take the clean clothes upstairs and bring the dirty ones down, etc…. And if anything breaks upstairs (like plumbing), then someone has to go upstairs to fix it.
Always fun working with you Matt
Cool discussion! Dry dirt? I love it!
The newest model requires taking off the entire front. You can’t make this up
Are these manifolds being used in new home construction in 2024? When builders started using the technology in new homes?
I’ve seen these manifolds used in new homes for almost 20 years now, and I’ll be using one in my new home next year.
foolish concept
This looks awfully familiar to a system we typically call a “flex bomb”. A plenum with an octopus of flex coming off of it.
