I made this bowl by casting colour pencils in epoxy resin and turning the resin and pencil block on my lathe into a bowl. I sanded from 80 to 400 grit and finished the bowl with an Italian food-safe polish.

Really cool!! I've been trying to figure out the best finish for shot glasses, lol. Mind if I ask what you're using? I see it's a food safe matte finish from ICA, but their website is huge and hard to navigate...Mind if I just ask what the exact product is, and how well it holds up?

Wow that wood must be magical, It went from Square after his glue up, to oval and even had a dove tail at the end to have the chuck grab on to. ( Sarcasm, Come on dont skip steps, I know what he did but the average novice most likely wouldnt)

Nice end piece from and piece of scrap… but… FFS… use the tail stock when roughing out… 🤷🏼♂️. Also a technique I wish to share is to use a tennis ball in the flute end of the goblet and jammed with the tail stock to give safe support while cutting and sanding… it supports the lateral pressure of the gouge or sanding and helps to prevent a piece flying off the lathe…👏👏
