Brilliant video George what a place, looks lovely how did the Wedding go,great I bet,was the place a bit pricey it looks kind a expensive,we’ll done Pal,ill see you soon, cheers George.
It went well ronnie, I'll see you soon pal
Many years ago I worked a close strawberry farm for 3 months. Every weekend we walked to the city. I liked the harbor, the old monuments, the beach with arcade building, the lighthouse and all. It was one all you can eat fish & chips restaurant man I loved that place. I left Scotland a long but I will visit back one day. It's nothing crazy about that place but it's so peaceful.
I've been many times and I like a wee walk around the harbour
It's a town with tremendous potential. Great people. Sadly let down by decades of political incompetence.
Not forgetting the tragedy.. that chippy on the corner,nr the station, is excellent..but I asked for "salt and sauce" ..it wasn't Edinburgh chippy sauce;( great wee town though:)
The chips seemed nice
Hello, thanks for this vidéo. I find those bridges very beautiful, and want to make this cruise next year. You show me how it is. So, -bridges, check, boat, check, I'll pray for Sun 😄
Remember a picnic for the island. Check the prices online. "The maid of the forth" weekdays are best, I hope you have a great day out, cheers g.
Many nights spent in boozy Suzy’s Hahha
Great video ❤ what was that face on the hill?
It was a man made sculpture, but most people walk past it thinking it's just a mound. It was part of a collection of things to see on the cycletrack from Edinburgh to Glasgow including the magic bucket. A steel foundry bucket that seems to hang in mid air. Found at morissons roundabout in Bathgate now.
We will visit Glasgow at 2 weeks! Thanks for the video.
Visit Kelvingrove museum if you have time too
You talk a lot, we don't understand
I'm scottish, even the english don't understand me lol
Born and bred in Girvan in the 60's and 70,s ---happy childhood days and it was great in the summer when the holiday makers came..like the guy said memories of the simple things, my favourites, the rowing boats, the beach pavilion , climbing the byne hill and dow hill for the views and the gardens filmed which were once an orchard full of apple trees
Great video, great music, great history facts…I think if you added a few screenshots of Google maps of locations of Landmarks, someone not knowing Dundee if I wanted to go see the landmarks based on what you show in the video I would say where in Dundee has this been filmed.
Dumpdee 😂
Hi George, another great video,we’ll done,to be truthful I don’t think there’s much for me in Dundee so I don’t think il be giving it a wee visit, your videos are brilliant and I really enjoy watching them, cheers George, all the very best.
Great to see this is still going. I was one of Walter's bowmen back in 1970. 😊
Yes still very popular too
great wee 10 mins...thanks.
Hope it brought back good memories
Theres some nice walks over the hills. Awesome views. I think it needs a bypass for the heavy traffic though.
The roads are busy
They keep saying there going to bring back the open air swimming pool but I won’t hold my breath sunny Dunny love it 😁
It's a shame it's gone
@@thekiltedcyclist4698 i know the council were saying the indoor one needs too much work and isn’t that popular I think that’s why there thinking of reverting back to the outdoor one
Loved this! I was in Dunbar very briefly in 2002, to visit "my family castle" - I was a Dunbar before I got married. Thank you!
Hi Pal,the drone footage is brilliant and I love the wee songs,we’ll done Bud,see you soon.
Cheers ronnie, it was a cracking day for it
in the intro i live there LOL

Ótimo tour pela cidade de Lockerbie...muito linda a cidade..
absolutely beautiful, peaceful and unspoilt, lovely music too. Hurrah for Black Agnes. Thankyou.
Thanks, I try to give a relaxing view of Scotland, with some places that are maybe not as well known, im glad you like the music too, cheers g
Thanks for a REAL review, and in less time than other folks spend taking it out of the box!
Brings back happy memories of holidays in a railway carriage caravan at Belhaven in the early 50's, We used to walk up to Dunbar every day, spent the whole day there using the open air swimming pool, going down to the harbour or playing in the barrack's grounds.
It's a nice cheery place
Beautiful Scotland for ever
Mate i still live there haha in glebe road
magic! what a wonderful place. Thankyou so much.
Thank you for watching Mandy, its such a special place
beleve it or not i live there
Do you like it?
@@thekiltedcyclist4698 uh well its great but the pub acsess is now limited same with the cafe but it is a wonderfull place to live + fast replys lol
I remember visiting my uncle Guss in the 1970s he ran the putting green next to the park , he liked a bet and one day he walked out of the pub crossed over to the bookies and got run over , he died was a lovely man , well Broxburn I remember playing fitba against the Scottish boys in the park great memories and my auntie always got fresh buns from the bakery every morning ❤
Was that the pitches that were always flooding?
Yes they where always flooded how did you know that
He used to sit in the wooden hut , his house was the end house next to the green
@@StephenMorris-fz8ts I'm from Bathgate, we used to pass by Halls and see the pitches flooded quite often
Some great times up there , very nice friendly people
I thought I met a sweet old man outside thaf transport museum - but he ended up robbing me - he was called Frank McCallum
I thought that the only robbery out there was the price of parking
Great addition to the video…fine music. Stay well👍
Thanks John
Came across this by chance. Lovely old place, Hope it stays unspoilt.
Its protected, its not changed in the 40 odd years ive known it, thankfully
It's a beautiful place. But... Where are the inhabitants ?
There are around 500 people live here, some of them would be working i guess
Definitely a 👍 for the music 🎶, songs and the always interesting wander through the village.
Thanks Dolly, I hope the music is more in keeping with the video
@@thekiltedcyclist4698 The music 🎶 is perfect for this video. 👍😁
Brilliant George,we’ll done, love the music and song, keep it up Bud.
Cheers pal
Really good video - enjoyed seeing Kelvingrove, Boatnic Gardens and the Park. Any of the Southside/Mount Florida/Queens Park area?
Thanks Douglas, ive done 3 or 4 on glasgow, govanhill i think is close also one that starts at the barras. Cheers g.
Lovely memorable trip around the town, home of Tartan TV.
That was fun. I grew up in Bathgate, but was never much of a drinker, so didn't get many of these.
Cheers Ian, it was just a bit of a laugh. I was chatting about old times and pubs, the total missing was quite staggering. I hope it jogs a few memories for folk, cheers g.
There's ma auld hoose. 😊
I’ve seen more of Kelso in your interesting video than I did when I lived in the Borders! I wasn’t adventurous enough in those days, so you’ve re-inspired my curiosity and I’m hoping to make a return trip there soon! Thanks again for another great video! 🙂
Thanks Dolly, im just shining a light on some wee towns that are worth a visit, cheers g
More footage of Kendal on my channel
At 10:18 the cottages on the left are the Coast Guard cottages where my Gran's brother lived, visited my Uncle Arch(he lived in the one on the end)back in 1953. Came over from the states for a six week visit when I was young...then fifty years later my best friend moved to a village just up the road, so I have been able to visit Eyemouth many times...many happy memories...love Eyemouth!
Fabulous
My grandmother was born in Dunblane . I served my apprenticeship in Dunblane 44 years ago in the hairdresser’s
around 65 years ago our family were allowed to live in a cottage on a steep brae in Dunblane, with the inscriptions above the Door "Jessie the flo'or o Dunblane born lived and died" , coming from Arbroath, I don't know why we were so blessed, mother never said, but remember a walkway to a park with a slide, alongside the river, needing coupons for bread, visiting the cathedral.
Two nice places, i always like a trip to Arbroath.
Great footage of the great border city - More footage of the sights and sounds of Carlisle on my channel. 👍🏻
Carlisle was better than i expected
@@thekiltedcyclist4698 Shame you missed the preaching.
many compliments for the excellent video you published with precise and well filmed images

Thanks, i try and show places that are maybe not as well known, but still worth a visit. Cheers g.
