How to fix 2002-2007 chevrolet ac that switches to heat on its own- drivers side blend door actuator
Переглядів 533 тис.9 років тому
Drivers side AC would switch to heat by itself. Blend door actuator needs to be taken out and cleaned. I just used a paper towel and it has been working fine ever since.

Dish Network External Hard Drive VIP211K 3.0 USB
Переглядів 50 тис.9 років тому
Dish network only recommends Usb 2.0 to add dvr capability which are very hard to find these days. This video describes how it is possible to use usb 3.0 as an external hard drive by adding a usb powered hub. I did end up having to pay an activation fee.
LLY Duramax FPR Replacement

04.5 duramax lly fuel pump regulator how to. merchant automotive turbo resonator plug thermostat how to this truck is all stock. i was getting a code P0087 with a surging idle. it would idle about 15 minutes before throwing the code.
I've installed this kit on 2 llys, and even with making the bracket, i still had my mouthpiece blow out... The only real solution is to take it to an exhaust shop and get the y bridge welded as one solid piece, or go with an aftermarket y bridge.
Devante Divide
Got that exact same barb fitting lol
Actually mine is 1/8x 5/16th barbed... The hose is quite a bit larger than the barb.. what can you put on the barb to get it to seal? I'm gonna try a smaller clamp tomorrow, the one I have is a little big I think.. but is there a tape or something? I read Teflon tape is not good to use for this application.. and I don't want stuff leaking into my coolant.. thanks 🙏
Saved my butt good info like some others have been saying in the comments number 210 worked for me that does not mean that the other one would not work though
Yep this never even crossed my mind just had new radiator put in,think the kidd that installed it tightened to tight and it broke off ,well problem now is it's fine thread I cannot find the peice so I'm goin your route ,thanks for the video

That was the only o-ring I could get to go in without cutting it.Thanks for the video
Thanks for your video! Saved me lots of time trying to figure this problem out.
I'm sweating my ass off now mine use to do it only a little bit cut truck off and Crank it back and it was cold but now it goes right back to heat go going to fix it now
Try shortening the run time to 45 seconds it worked for me. After I reinstalled fuse I turn on truck let run for around 45 seconds then turn off for 15 seconds then back on. I also tried the authors method for like ten times what worked could of been me trying ten times or shortening the run time to 45 seconds.
Worked like a charm on my 2005 Chevy Suburban 2500 - thank you for the video!
Having that same problem 2006 GMC Las Vegas Nevada the dealer fix the heater Fairway Chevrolet is the dealer 2489 dollars to fix the heater the air conditioner was working fine now they're both broke blowing air conditioner on the driver side heat on the right side had no idea what to do didn't want to go back to the same dealer I didn't want to go back to the dealer now is that video maybe I have a chance to fix it myself
These Duramax trucks are anything but durable, I recommend as soon as possible get rid of it as soon as possible before it breaks down again. Poorly designed. Period
Funniest repair video ever! Gonna try this fix this weekend!
Please show how to find that part under the dash
This is a joke after all the vids, they still haven’t fixed the fitting, just goes to show you how much they care, not.
Real cool video ,watching the video I decided to remove the fuse and reinstalled it every thing reset save me a lot of time & trouble thanks .
How much did you pay for the kit?
$10
Hold still!
THIS VIDEO AND RECOMMENDATION SAVED MY ASS!!! I tried 5-6 different "OEM" ones from various parts stores, they all broke upon installation. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!!!
Awesome bro. Mine is up at the radiator cap so I can add a nut for the thread on the inside.
This is the video I have been looking for, I have the exact same problem 04 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS 4.3l. I did as he showed, took it apart no broken clips, cleaned with alcohol Qtips and put back in, SWEET! Worked, same for years dealing with it. Thank you very much Diy!
You just cleaned it? You didn't have to bend the tabs out some? Or add grease to the board to have a smooth contract..
hahahahaha, this video was gold!
I ended up using the 210 and a lathered gasket maker over the orings on both sides. Left it over night to dry. I filled the truck up with water and it hasn’t leaked yet. Next step is start up. The first few times I reinstalled mine with the 116, it was leaking when I filled it with water. Hope that helps
Oil companies messing our radiators up. Same thing happened to my car when I got a oil change. Thanks for letting me know this will work cause when I brought the idea up to the parts store they said it would never work. If you can't rig it fig it.
Thanks. Good video/info. Would have been great with a little bit better camera work showing where the actuator actually goes.
Hi. I got the some exact Problem. On my 2004 GMC Yukon
I had my actuator taken out and tried the manual way, but it kept flipping as I was driving
Why to (expletive deleted) does Dish support not recommend this? If the USB power in the dish box is to limited, they should say so and recommend this solution. This is a Dish management problem with their tech support people.
Appreciate the information but you could've said all this in three minutes. Why repeat yourself and ramble on?
Yes, they put some yellow fiberglass insulation in the 'V' between the cylinder heads at the factory. Also be careful of the two sets of three prong sealed black plugs one is close to the alternator and one is by the turbo air inlet. They are both three wire plugs and can be plugged to another plug which is just like that if you are not careful. Look at the color of the wires to be sure. Orange on one side of the plug should still be an orange on the other corresponding plug route.
he broke it lol.
Couldn't you just disconnect the whole thing and be done with it??
Great help, no buy my stuff, you good at this.
thanks for helping me in 2022 😂
Great video. Just an update if you attempted to fix this by cleaning the contacts and it still fails... A replacement is $30, even at that price it's certainly worth it to clean the thing first and see if that fixes it.
Removing the pulley is way more work and I dont have tools for that. The trick was pushing the pipe back up and spraying fluid film around it then working it back down it slid right out didnt even remove the fan. Damn sticky oring! For the people looking for tips.
I lucked out big time. I was checking to see where the accuator was, and while the truck was running and blowing hot air, I tapped the accuator with the palm os my hand and presto, cold air started coming. Probably not permanent but probably dirty inside the actuator.
Hey man wondering how this held up bring it was brass on plastic? I had the same thing happen on my ‘14 ats caddy while replacing the overflow hose. So freaking mad I have to do a complete radiator replacement. This was the same idea I had at first. Tried to JB weld the broken plastic nipple first but it’s also 20 degrees right now where I’m at smfh. GM sucks ballz. Cheap ass mofos
It never leaked when i had it for a couple of years. Sold the car...but no problems.
can we go back to manual button connected to a rod, it was simple genius, why change something that woks?
Thank you so much for your post, I could not figure this problem out for the life of me, pulling the fuse and letting it reset fixed the problem. Problem was occurring even after I had replaced a brand new actuator.
Do you have a link to this kit
Can also disconnect it when it’s throwing out cold air and it will stay like that. Fix it by disconnecting it when it’s throwing cold. Worked for me.
My 05 GMC Sierra did the exact same thing after I replaced the blower motor resistor. I have the "auto temp controls" and did the relearn procedure for it. It completely fixed it
Thank you for doing this video mine broke at some point tonight and I am in a Volvo Simi truck so I am parked between a Lowes and advance auto parts store so I can get the stuff to fix this my self in the morning. I hope it holds up as well as yours did lol will keep you all posted thanks again I just replaced the radiator last week so really do not want to do all that again I think I got a faulty one though or it was damaged and I didn't notice or something or the plastic radiators are pure junk lmao bit thanks again I had to cap it on the side of the road to get me here drove fine and got me an extra 45 miles so I wasn't stranded on the road probably could have made it another 80 miles but didn't want to chance it to much. Did this repair last awhile though?
