If you are still using the Solargizer, what’s your opinion on keeping the health of the battery up to par? It’s primary use is to prevent crystal formation between the plates and shorting out the cells.

All I can say is I have not had issues with the batteries being low ,which can be the batteries being good or the panel keeps them up, I have a large panel on the Humvee it puts out power If the batteries become low or imbalanced it can destroy the start box from what I've read , the newest smart start box are supposed to have fixed this issue but idk and they are expensive Also I use optimas in this truck, I also have an m37 with a small solargizer and optima style batteries I also have a military generator with cheap wet batteries that I have a small solargizer on and it always starts

Have you added star washers to the antenna mounts to body bolts? Technically that ground braid should go to the bolt that mounts the offset mount to the body. I have an older zip tie gun from the Bell System days, tension is a bit loose, tried adjusting but no luck. Bought an "inexpensive" Ty wrap installation tool from Tyco back in the days, it’s a manual device that grips the tie and allows the user to determine tension and when you are satisfied with tension just twist the whole device and it cuts the wrap.

Nice you made video to help others. I been showing people in person for years. Done too many - haha. Inwent from the crank tool to an “endless” - not just cheaper but easier. Cutting to length was the key. Then guy on a forum posted video he found and its genius easy. I won’t rip mine out with truck like that one video but do strap tire and use come-along and it pulls out super easy. A buddy of mine uses his 4 wheeler winch. To put back in- just a piece of 4x4 square tube and bottle jack on top. Extend bottle jack so its egg shaped and slip it in. Then release jack. Done. INSANELY easy install. Someone I used to know had a Toyota V6 engine rebuilt that belonged to a 4Runner. He paid 4K on a high quality rebuild but it had problems. So I took a look at it. I found that the only work done to it was new head gaskets and an engine paint job to make things look new. There was coolant in the oil pan. massive vacuum leaks and the quality of labor was worse than unskilled. He showed me the receipt from the shop with all the items they claim to replace. I decided to take a drive with my buddy that owned the Toyota to the shop so I can complaint and make threats. Well, the shop was completely gone. There was no trace of any business existing on that lot. Scammers are out there.

I had something similar happened to my brother with his Dodge pick up. He blew a head gasket so he took it to a shop to have a new head, gasket and pair of heads put on it. After sitting at the shop for a week, the shop told him he needed a new engine because the motor was bad. So he okayed to have a new engine put into it. So they took his engine transmission and transfer case and swap it out with not a Dodge. But a Chevrolet big block that was seized solid due to sitting outside full of rainwater. Turns out they sold his small block. Transmission and transfer case plus the $15000 for parts and labor. For a truck That mostly just needed a head gasket and heads.

Looks great. Nice and clean. I have a 94’ 2.5 liter. They run pretty well with the stock size tires or a little larger. I have 29” on mine now. It was night and day before I put the smaller tires on. The engine doesn’t have a ton a power, but the thing will climb a tree. It’s a good Jeep for the woods. Like you said, keeping the weight off of it like a winch and big tires help the 2.5l when on pavement. I was also going to ask if it was an Islander. The color reminded me of one. Looks nice.

Best thing i did was ditch those pos goodyear wranglers and go with the bf goodrich bajas .. sidewalls are WAY easier to work with getting those inserts in. Ride is worlds better also. Also when you’re compressing the inserts make sure theyre folding at the cut out for the valve stem.. lets them fold a little easier

Tom, had the same thing happen to me and the same experiences. From the wire not feeding to lousy customer support. Then I saw this video. Couldn't believe it but this may answer what got both of us. ua-cam.com/video/ZotUQjC_XOU/v-deo.html
