I have linked my bank account to Strike, am trying to make a deposit. Everything was easy up to this point. Have you made a deposit yourself? Real problem making a deposit, I don't get the screen they say in the FAQ's.

If people want to get rich and get even they just need to get their money back of the banks 'all in it together' instead of being fobbed off with crypto hubris.

If you're pro Bitcoin, then you're pro decentralization then the EU and all their rules and regulations are the last thing you want. The EU are a cancer on Europe, they absolutely want a CBDC a digital Euro and them controlling your money. So by default, the only pro crypto option here in the UK is the reform party. That's your choice, and stop listening to the MSM who are controlled by the same people running the central banks and the main political parties Labour / Tories are just puppets to the globalists, and two sides of the same coin.

As for Crypto and this election. If the conservatives have already left and posted the keys and labour are happy to pick them up to enrich themselves and take the blame for the likely recession. Thats the only reason I can think of for the tories to walk off without a fight. I do think They should never have imposed a prime Minister on us without us voting him in to do that job.

Tried a small purchase a few days ago and then offramped to my bank today (that had given me problems in the past), job done. Works fine so far.

I’ve opened an account and after an initial issue with my deposit from a big UK bank, I can say the buying process is faultless. Well worth trying out.

Interestingly, in the Strike sign up process, within the 2 minute test near the end, it seemed to be stating that Strike isn't within the UK's FCA's umbrella. It could be that Strike has been given the go-ahead in the UK as long as it applied the UK requirements for KYC. Not sure. Would be good to know for sure. The main risk is custodial risk... If Strike gets hacked or disappears, the bollocks UK authorities won't help us? I don't feel concerned about Strike collapsing like FTX or getting hacked but I am concerned about the extent to which Strike are telling the HMRC and other organisations about our Strike usage.

Never had a problem getting money on and off exchange. But if you want to avoid paying tax, I understand why you have issues.

I'll have a look at this when I get a chance but it sounds like you have the same issue of passing the test questions as with other CEXs. Currently I am using Bisq which is peer to peer for buying bitcoin. It uses escrow to help ensure honesty and various payment methods including Faster Payments direct to/from the other party.

Strike aren't doing anything new that's not already available in the UK, hence the FCA didn't stop them. This isn't a Binance situation where there's a ton of shipcoins, derivatives, leverage trading etc.

As a Brit who lives abroad, I have been getting very frustrated lately, as it seems you blocked at every point you try to do something with crypto regarding off ramping. I am currently on Binance ( but don't really like it), I can send money from my bank (HSBC) direct to the exchange ( at least i could, not done it recently) , however cannot send anything back the other way. Hopefully, this could be an answer, fingers crossed indeed. What exchange/ exchanges do you or other people here use to trade on, please? I am looking for a better option, as I am working hard now to become a lot more knowledgeable about crypto in general. Keep up the great work helping people.
