I think this is a fantastic video encapsulating the challenges faced by Veterinary students when moving abroad. I certainly agree with getting yourself properly set up before starting so that you can best take care of yourself. It also highlights some excellent points regarding hidden costs of medical degrees I wish I knew before I started. I think there are some wonderful pointers for students considering starting Vet med! It certainly is a mentally challenging field, it can be tough at times to separate yourself enough to learn the required content, and it's a long degree, but by creating a great support system and by focusing on the animals we care for at the other end it makes every moment worthwhile and fulfilling.
