I’ve tried this 10 item wardrobe for a month but struggled because I like options 😊. I found it hard to limit myself and missed my other clothes. I find keeping a capsule around 40- 45 items works best for me. Thanks for the video!

I’m ok with 4 of those categories, but one……if you haven’t worn it for a year. I have a few items in this category but I still love them. I tried putting them away but got them out again because I think I will wear them eventually! 🤷‍♀️

decluttering becomes an excuse to shop. The first sign of a shopping addiction is debt. If you have a shopping addiction, and it is a real addiction - not just a cute euphemism, getting rid of stuff can just lead to more shopping.

I’m on a similar journey for something like 3 years now. Only recently I was able to declutter my most loved jeans that just do not look on me as they use to. With certain things we just remember how good they made us feel and we hope to experience it again, sadly life more forward and as we age (I’m 44 ) our bodies change even if our size stays technically the same. I’m guilty of keeping about 10 items that I know I could let go at any point, yet I keep delaying it. I have about 70 items in my wardrobe in total so it is a big percentage for unused stuff. I kind of keep it for my mental comfort and to stop myself from buying new clothes. It sort of tricks my brain, or maybe I’m just lying to myself 😂😂

This is so true! I have decluttered multiple times and been so happy with the results. Sadly months later it would all creep back in more purchases. This would lean me to deep shame because I felt like I was being so wasteful😞. I have tried low buys but if I don’t address my reasons for excess shopping it always comes back. Your videos have help so thank you for your honesty. I am currently on the journey to understanding the why behind my spending in hopes of cultivating a better balance.

This was probably the most helpful video I have EVER seen on clothing de-cluttering, and I have watched so very many of them! I am a similar age with a similar "complicated relationship" to clothing and accessories. I've been a huge clothes horse and have worked in fashion on and off for decades. I have been on a long journey of de-cluttering that continues to this day (just went through my wardrobe again today and found yet another garbage bag of items to donate). Two questions I came up with today that I had to answer YES to in order for the garment to stay mine: Does it look good on me? Does it feel good on me? I have a lot of unusual items which I love in theory, but unless they are user friendly, I am aiming to pass them on now. I am saving this video to refer to often, thank you so much! I have been subscribed to your channel since last year, so grateful for your helpful and inspiring content! :)

yeah my hardest items - or ideas - about myself were brutal to let go of.....but in the end I had to acknowledge that I was exactly where I wanted to be and those things were unnecessary to my enjoyment of it.....good vid!

I love how you use the time with your daughter now. The issue with sustainable brands is how they are not size inclusive. I'm 4'11" and most sustainable brands are not even close to fitting me properly. I would love to see more inclusivity from them. Right now they focus on the average body.
