I have the old version of this amp and I have run it at 1ohm with no issues at all , did not even get warm
That's AWESOME! I've been wondering if the older ones could handle 1 ohm! Thank you!
I just bought one shoud I take it back and get my money back ?
It depends on if you want to bump loud or just fill in the bottom end and make the sound quality better. If you plan on pushing them (75% volume or more) then just know it is a class b amplifier so it will get a little hot which is normal for that type of amp but alot of people don't like that. We have been running one for about 2 years with no issue. I'd say try it but save the receipt.

Nice condition, congratulations on owning dem , I heard dem at a dealer and the sound was amazing. I have the monitor 10b and I love the sound they produce,
How do you retain the SWC
There is a reddit thread on how to connect it to your existing swc. Just search up atoto s8 steering wheel controls. The unit comes with all the necessary accessories to connect swc in the box. Sorry, unfortunately I didn't show this step because I don't have swc on my vehicles lol
He is correct, you can change all six plugs(and coils, if you choose) without taking the intake manifold off. I removed the intake coupler and evap purge valve to get more room. I was originally planning to only replace the latter. I did lose a 10mm behind the engine, though.
Thank you!! The main thing here is learning to do things blind. If you can get muscle memory working on your side, it can really make things easier! An intake removal and cleaning is not hard to do and beneficial, but dropping something into the intake or breaking a brittle line may scare off some people. Thank you for commenting, and yeah, I had to remove the purge solenoid as well.
Question for u. I'm having problems with my CD player, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. For the CD player, the CD will spin time to time but when it is, something keeps making a clicking sound when trying to play the track, but when it does play, it likes to cut off time to time. Any clues on what the problem is? (I would've taken a look but I don't have the tools or knowledge, lol)
@@FlussyWussy I think the previous owner (@clssicwefi) had a similar issue with this one. I will ask him how he repaired it.
BACK OT THE FUTURE!!
YES!!! Where we're going, we don't need roads!
This or carpuride?
I've never used a carpuride. I can say that the only problem that I've had with this one is the charger that plugs in to the cigarette lighter broke.
Roadmaster got LT1?
Yup! 94
those moisture testers are not great in quality.
@@TGF00Buck I definitely agree. I'm gonna compare it to the strips and see how they compare. I just have to find a good price on them because they are stupid expensive. Lol
Rule of physics: mix 2 liquids, and the result is thicker than what you started with, that reduces flow response. Nobody believes this, nobody. Sure can start a bar fight.
Well said!! Thank you!
might as well get an autotek amp at the 100$ budget range, alot more power
@@Chevytrucker2 really? I'm gonna have to check that out! Thank you!
I worked at 3 different pepboys locations. All three would only drain the reservoir and refill. That's not a flush. I also currently drive a Colorado that sat for over ten years. And got it running and have yet to even change the pads. Breaks work fine.
@brisnladtnsme9533 Hell yeah! I was surprised at my Roadmaster still having passable fluid. (Although I'm skeptical on if this tester even works), Im a fan of the Colorados for sure! but you're definitely right, that's not a flush at all!
Could you comment on when it turns green? Is that something unscrupulous mechanics do to make dishonest money? I'm going to have my fluid lab tested because I suspect monkey business.
I can understand your suspicion! I have seen this, though. I feel like it has to be caused by copper, either in the abs unit itself or maybe the lines are coated internally with copper? I have noticed it mostly on GM vehicles. I confirmed this with a friend who has a crazy level of experience in the automotive field. We also agree that it is definitely something to research! Thank you so much for the great question!
@@Blownproductions Thanks for your reply. I hear you on the cooper. Also, I don't have ABS rather a 26 year old Toyo. low miles. original owner. I should have mentioned my suspicions are from finding fluid that was dripped down my power brake booster starting from near the top edge yet the fittings are further down towards the middle of the unit. I cleaned off the fluid back last summer and it is still clean and was green. Possibly food coloring dye.
Ive done this with my corolla. The las best degreaser works fantastically. On alluminum, plastic, steel, anything it works wonders. Spray, rinse, spray, agitate, rinse and protect
@@monkda5 yup! I think my engines are still shining! Thank you for watching!
I totally saw the title and thought you meant in the car haha
It would be worthwhile to pour out half the container, put the cap back on, and then let it sit. Test it every 3 months, which would simultaneously simulate periodic opening and using some of the contents. Then see how it did over the span of 1 year.
LOVE IT! Be sure to stay tuned!
I remember watching ChrisFix doing a brake fluid flush years ago and one of the calipers wouldn't flush out and when he unclogged the bleeder valve a bunch of rusty fluid came out. Makes you wonder if some of these vehicles are really sensitive to rusting on the inside if you don't flush this stuff out every now and then. I am sure it is even worse for people in the midwest/rust belt
@richiewitkowski7142 Absolutely! The caliper also kinda works like a resivore holding a decent amount of fluid, which is closest to the source of extreme heat. That fluid is the most susceptible to breaking down and loosing any of the anti corrosion quality of the fluid.
Water in brake fluid is a self-resolving problem. Water lowers boiling point of the fluid ==> fluid boils ==> water exits ==> less water in fluid.
@vk45de54 🤣Fair enough! Just top it off, and you're good!
That’s why the cars with brake fluid had less water than the new brake fluid. The cars boiling out the water 😂
@alexvillalobos7137 Right! 😅
I think my few dollar brake fluid tester is more accurate than that one LOL
I'd bet you're right! 🤣 I really want to compare the results to test strips, but they are like crazy expensive!
Hey man just a heads up, the mic you are using sounds like youre talking into a pringles can. Great video, keep it up 👍🏽
@Dragon228833 oh I'm well aware it's actually my video editing software. I have no idea what happened but nothing would remove it. I recorded that voice over in my dining room which has crazy loud room noise (reflection) which usually I can remove but not this time. Anyway, thank you!
@@BlownproductionsI thought it sounded good maybe nit the best but no complaints here
@alexvillalobos7137 I TOTALLY figured out what happened. You can hear it more with headphones, but it's a reverb issue in the room, lol. I already fixed it. But thank you so much for comment! I really appreciate it.
I wonder what your reading would be if pure water (same depth in same cup as other tests). It better register over 3!
@ssshsssh883 ugh! I actually did test it in pure water but didn't film it, I so should have put it in, but It actually said that bottled water contained 70% percent water! 🤣 I would guess that it just tops out at 70%, but it definitely still makes me question how accurate this thing is.
This proves that Ford didn't design this to maintained by anyone except a mechanic. I don't have a lift or even a floor jack!
@mr.k.i.s.s7496 Absolutely! They want you to bring it into the stealership so they can make even more money. Chrysler won't let anyone clear dtc codes unless if you buy their stupid gateway subscription.
Brake fluid in plastic gets less water in it than all steel components in cars you would be changing brake fluid often do to winter and summer this is not done brakes work fine if the maintenance is keep up
I'm thinking of rigging one of those mirrors over the CD player slot. Unfortunately, my vehicle doesn't start without factory head unit - for security... Came across this video while looking for set-up instructions for ATOTO S8 - just installed.
Nice! The S8 has been pretty solid for me!
Look at the Precision Power PPI i650.1 hmmmmm. Looks like it’s rebadged with just a little cosmetic differences.
I have a 2010 Buick enclave and you can't do this job without removing all the top stuff because there isn't enough clearance to get the coil out.
@Rocksolid711 I'm currently looking for an enclave from 09 or 10 to do a video on. I've done tons of these, and I'm having a Mandela effect type situation because I don't remember having to remove the upper intake manifold on them to gain access. Now I DID do intake gaskets on SOME of them, and maybe those were the customers that had that series of the 3.6. They were probably sold an intake gasket replacement by the service writer, and I never put 2 and 2 together. BUT, if I CAN remove them without removing the upper intake, it will be the greatest video ever!
I have a question for you: On my passive bass drivers (or whatever they're called) - the thin disc-shaped rubber thing started coming off one of them. Where on planet Earth can I get that material? I found the tacky glue on Amazon from a speaker manufacturer, but I'm afraid that foam-rubber disc over the driver cone will get torn if I try an replace it. Can't find this anywhere, mainly because I don't know what it's actually called. "driver damper"? "driver foam"? Anyone have any idea?
@davestorm6718 They're called passive radiators, and you can get them at parts express.
@@Blownproductions Okay - I saw those, but didn't really need an entire passive radiator (wanted to keep the Polk Audio ones as they're tuned correctly), just the thin foam circle (or the type of foam they used) is what I need. I'll keep looking (though it looks an awful lot like what was inside my car door - a thin black foam material) Thanks!
@davestorm6718 I'm not sure of the exact material. I think it's foam but it has to be very solid I would imagine.
Bose makes subwoofers with 5 and a half inch woofers. Couldn't believe the bass out of that small of a speaker. Good innovations in the speaker world!
Mine got blown by the cone pulled inside permanently with crackling then stopped for good
this is constantly pulling power from your battery
get two volt meters
yea cold solder capacitors and time easy stuff
I'm interested in this unit more for the chip set and RAM. How does it feel tapping in and out of apps? It looked pretty responsive from what I saw in your video
@sheelshox345 it's night and day from the s8 I reviewed! It is pretty dam snappy honestly.
@sheelshox345 it's 8g of ram
Can the key word be changed? Can it run Chat GPT 4.0? Thanks.
@jamesdean5677 The keyword can be whatever you want, I'm not sure about the chat GPT 4.0, though.
Could you use electrical tape for the wires to hold them after you twist them ?
@PeytonProcterTerry honestly, I did that for years, and it was fine. The keyboard warriors might disagree, but as long as you twist them well and use a good amount of tape, then it'll be fine. ESPECIALLY if you plan on changing it out or moving it to a different vehicle. Thank you for watching!
For a 2015 Dodge journey CR can you make me a step-by-step
I'm not familiar with a Journey CR but this pretty much is a step by step. ???
I remember a guy filling his brakes with power steering fluid....... could that be a problem 🤔
@classicwefi OH YEAH!!!....🤣🤣🤣 I forgot about that! We should have suggested He change his engine oil with atf! He was not happy though.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How to fix this pioneer cassette deck CT-4200 touch mechanism which auto stops after 5 seconds when I play it?
That usually mean the take up wheel isn't spinning. If you hold the button down will it keep playing. Does it eat the tape?
@@Blownproductions It doesn't eat the tape reel. Yes you are right when I hold the down it works but after pulling out it stops...I think so that it is the spinning wheel which is not functional in this way the sensor will have been not working. Thank you for responding 🌹
@Mixesbox it could be either a belt is bad or one of the pulley Wheels are bad
@@Blownproductions It could be the belt' looseness. Later I'll fix it. Thank you dear
Oooo I want a buick roadmaster
@@thewrenchlaboratory I love it! 94 with the LT1! I paid $100 for it.
If my amp doesn’t have a dual tbx wire harness import can I still do this and still merge the wires straight into my amp?
Yes. It works the same way.
Thank you! Also does it matter which side speaker go into which color on the line output converter?
The only video on YT that actually *shows* both how the piston is removed and the actual removal of the piston. Everyone else has a view from the top of the engine, or has the engine out, or you hear them hammering it from below without showing where they're striking, or have someone else on the opposite side pushing it out. They made me livid. Thanks for showing how it's done!
@@joeybuddy96 No problem! Thank you for watching!
Leds are superior
Hey bro, I have the same issue with a similar unit, but my problem arises only when it is connected using carplay, if connect it directly to bluetooth, it does not have any problems, which leads me to think that might not be the power cable. I've tried with another unit that I've bought to my other car, and the problem is still there. When I use on my other car, there is no problem... I think that this might be related to the car CAN-bus, which is probably bringing some noise to the negative cable... I don't have any other idea, I've tried changing power cables, aux cables, and is still happening...
You actually have a pretty good idea of what's going on already. It's a frequency interference that the unit can not decouple. Google ferrite collar. It's a ring made of ferrite that you can wrap one end around and this will filter it out. If you've ever looked at a laptop charger right where the connection is that goes to the computer, there's usually a type of plastic box container connected to the wire that usually holds a ferrite collar.
I guess they are called ferrite bead or ferrite choke.
@@Blownproductions interesting! I’m gonna look at it! I’ll be back with the outcome! Thanks brother!
@devsdmf Thank you!
Where’s the video to remove the back you mentioned? I cannot get the screws off 😔
I'm sorry I have not been able to get to doing that video yet. I can tell you that you need a very long screwdriver it's a number 2 Phillips. All of the screws are, and the screws will be in the deep holes, and they will have arrows pointing at them.
Yeah I'm not sure if maybe you've got a different intake on there, but on my 2010 there's an extra inch of metal overlapping my coil, it's not coming out of here unless I take shears and cut it in half to rip it out lol.
@cosmic5823 that's what I keep hearing. It's just weird because I've done plugs and coils on at least 25 different enclaves, and I don't ever remember having to take off the intake. I'd bet the early ones you do actually have to remove the intake, but it's just weird that I've never seen one yet. ALSO, I did do intake gaskets at the same time on some of them, so I'd imagine those were the times it was an early model. I'm currently looking for an 09 or somewhere around there to do a video on and see if it's possible or not.
@@Blownproductions a moment of silence for my poor buick's piston rings. spark plugs were SOAKED, tubes are fine & no sign of leak. fml
@cosmic5823 ouch!! Sorry about that.
