JavaScript Challenge: Bitmap Holes
Переглядів 25Місяць тому
Have the function bitmapHoles take the array of strings stored in strArr, which will be a 2-D matrix of 0s and 1s, and determine how many holes, or contiguous regions of 0s, exist in the matrix. A contiguous region is one in which there are connected groups of 0s going in one or more of four directions: up, down, left, or right. For example: if strArr is ["101111","101101","111010","001010"], t...

    Dude, that movement is due to the cam cycle position of the right cylinder. Try this: line up on TR (TDC-#2) remove the rockers on #2. Roll to TL then do the chain. No movement because ALL valves are closed. Then roll back to TR, reinstall the rockers on #2 & adjust lash Only roll the motor Clock-wise EVER

    Do you have a link to a timing chain kit? I can’t find anything with the chain, guides, and adjuster.

    I know it's an old video, but why all the rigging with the ladder? When I've done this to many bikes, I just used jack stands under the footpegs... And you don't need to remove the footpeg brackets. You can use an allen wrench to hold the bolt and use a box end wrench from above to loosen the nut...

      You are exactly right, and I wish I would have remembered that when I made the video. Good advice. However, I should say that everything was fine once I got it all back together.

    Very helpful. I pulled the cotter pin to remove the tank. The thing I liked most about the video was that it helped me realize it was not that complicated and that I could do it myself.

    I saw you had, what appeared to be, a gasket kit. Was that kit for this engine? Is there an engine rebuild kit for the motor? If so, where can I find them?

    • @sokiveta
      @sokiveta 6 років тому

      I bought a cheap kit off of eBay, but later regretted it. It's better to buy quality gaskets from a store that sells OEM (Honda) parts. I like these three: www.partzilla.com/ and www.davidsilverspares.com/ and www.cmsnl.com/

    Would the cam still move if you back out all the valve spring tension to keep the pushrods from pushing on it?

      I wish they'd bring it back. What would be even cooler is if they made one with 4x125cc or 200cc cylinders. Don't get me wrong, their new engines are amazing, but they don't have that muscle look that older models had.

    I need to remove my tank to have a ding repaired, but have a lot of other bits and pieces (including fuel lines) to replace. Do you know the best place to buy things like fuel line and clutch lever for an old Ducati monster?

    Hey i was wondering what type of ladder you used and if you thought any ole metal ladder was safe to use for this? My Monster 800 S2R just blew out the rear suspension linkage. :(

  • @sokiveta
    @sokiveta 12 років тому

    @TwistedRoots1 Altogether I only spent a few hundred. Less than $300, I believe. And I mean for both front and back together. And if you had a shop do it all for you, you'd probably still stay under $500. The thing you need to realize is that you will need to do that to pretty much any bike you buy, if you care about the suspension and handling. And it's definitely worth it. I couldn't believe how much better it turned after I got everything set for my weight.

  • @sokiveta
    @sokiveta 12 років тому

    @TwistedRoots1 I did replace the front springs with heavier ones from RaceTech, and replaced the oil with slightly heavier oil. I didn't make a video of it, though. It was a bit more complicated. Honestly, if I didn't have a fork-savvy friend helping me, I couldn't have done it. If you don't have an expert, then I wouldn't think twice about paying a shop to do it for you. And I'm just referring to replacing the springs with a different set; just changing the oil is pretty easy.
