I wouldn't say Debates are a good source to gain knowledge especially about our Deen, as there are tons of debates proving otherwise. The best ways are- 1. Reciting and understanding the Quran 2. Fixoing your Aqeedah 3. Reading the seerah of our Prophet Muhammad (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam) and most importantly making dua to Allah Azzawajal in sujood to make it easy for us to gain the correct knowledge of deen and be'ithnillah things will chang.

I said: Messenger of Allah, we were in the midst of ignorance and evil, and then God brought us this good (time through Islam). Is there any bad time after this good one? He said: Yes. bilal brother i have a question.... my friend doesnt pray at all probably a few times a month like 3-5 when necessarry i keep on telling him to pray and atuff as it displeases Allah.... is it ok for me to think that he is doing a bad thing as he doesnt pray?? and oh yeah when i ask him to pray he usually starts for 1 day or 2 and just quits aftr a while...
