RDJ as DOCTOR DOOM makes sense (Breakdown + New UPDATE)
There is no Stark...only DOOM! On this episode of Atomic Vision, I'll break down the shocking reveal of Robert Downey Jr. taking on the iconic role of Doctor Doom and how this all makes perfect sense + some new updates.
Known for his charismatic portrayal of Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Downey's transition to one of Marvel's most complex villains could be a game-changer...if done right. I'll discuss the characteristics that make him a perfect fit for Victor Von Doom, how fans are overreacting about his casting, and some brand-new updates that give me hope.
Join me as I delve into the potential dynamics of this casting choice and the exciting possibilities for Avengers Doomsday, Avengers Secret Wars, and the future of the MCU. Could Downey's experience bring a fresh perspective to a beloved Marvel villain like Doom?
Avengers Doomsday & Avengers Secret Wars will be directed by The Russo Brothers, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

RDJ wanted both Russo’s and Jeremy Renner back in the fold. I love me some Hawkeye so hopefully he gets a cool role in this. Also if this was just for money they could have easily just had RDJ come back as Iron Man. Having him play Doom is risky, creative, and interesting to see where they go with it.

While i LOVE The Bear overall, i think that when this series is reflected upon, it is season 3 that will be looked at as the foundation of the series as it reflects on all the different lenses thru which people examine their lives and the restaurant as it is reinvented. These episodes were the building blocks as to how season 1 really came to be. And for season 4, who knows, everyone may get together, go to Uncle Jimmy collectively and push Carmy out as a condition of others staying on or Uncle Jimmy as having non negotiables for Carmy.

I am so happy that someone put my feelings about S3 into words. I just loved the season, as I began to cuss out Carmy for not realizing what the fuck he was doing to HIS place, for which he worked a long time, for which he bled and cried. I am so psyched for S4 to just show us how he is gonna see his mistakes and what he is going to have to do to earn the trust and loyalty of his people back. I loved Sydney's and Richie's arks, they were just incredibly awesome. They've all come so far from S1.

I was looking forward to L&T and I didn't hate it but it was a huge let down for me. Thor was reduced to a bumbling idiot again who had the same story beat of trying to find himself and not sure who he is. Thor is supposed to be a bad ass protector. Idk where I want the franchise to go but it seems like they really fumbled there character overall after infinity war and ragnarok.

The portrayal of Thor in "Endgame" and subsequently in "Love and Thunder" was ridiculous. MCU has failed to honor his character appropriately. See, Thor possesses immense power, extensive experience, and centuries of wisdom. He is a GOD, an original Avenger, and one of the Big Three. YET, the way he is treated is pathetic! It is both astonishing and disheartening to see how the MCU has overlooked his significance. Ant man, Hawkeye were treated better. F'n spider-man is mcu's anchor being lol

I have no issues with Downey as Doom. If they focus on Doom and not how he looks like Tony Stark. I would be 100% ok (lowkey thrilled even) if I didn't see Downey's face in the entire saga, until the very end. If they choose to make this about Downey, it's bound to fail. Cuz unlike Iron-Man in 2008, expectations are 10000 times (I know puns) higher.

They can probably introduce more gods from other pantheons as supporting characters. There was a time in the comics when Thor approached Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva at Nirvana to ask them to help him restore Asgard. Maybe involving these gods as an advisor or Odin-replacement can be worth a try. Maybe even featuring the Council of Godheads would do.

It should be about keeping his word about protecting his adopted daughter. Dr Doom short cameo as the villain directing someone who he hires to go do something with his daughter. Loki of course is trying to keep the multiverse together and has no choice but to intervene to help Thor with his daughter but by doing that it plays into Dooms hand setting up God Emperor Doom since Loki choice was between existence ceasing to exist and helping a version of Thor saving his own daughter. Overall Villain could be Hella who has plans of her own for Thor's daughter to reshape reality to what she wants. Also Chad Stihelski should be the director.

Another brilliant breakdown. I agree 100% to everything you said. In my opinion, the reason so many people don’t like the third season are the unresolved issues between Carmy and Sidney, Carmy and Richie, Carmy and Claire and Carmy and Carmy, cause in a sense he is still stuck in this cold store and is haunted by the ghost of Chef David (Joel McHale). And as we all know, „haunting“ is one of the central themes of season 3. And because Carmy is stuck and miserable, all the others are stuck and miserable. So in a sense, on his hunt of perfection, Carmy is the main antagonist in this season. And that’s a very bold story choice by Showrunner Chris Storer, for which I salute him. So, did I like season 3 as much as season 1 and 2? Probably not. That said I still love every single episode, because, there is a lot to love. And arguing, that nothing happens in this season is utter nonsense. Some episodes may not be that exiting like in season 1 and 2. I get that. But the „Avengers Assemble“ phase is behind us. Now Sidney, Richie, Marcus, Tina and the rest have to grow as a team. And exactly that moment of triumph is what Chris Storer is denying us in Season 3. But hope is already planted in the last episode. And that’s why I’m more than exited for season 4, cause I trust the Christopher Storer as a storyteller. From the perspective of the Hero’s journey season 1 of The Bear was all about establishing THE ORDINARY WORLD and to gather new companions. At the end of season 1, when Carmy found the money, we finally got the CALL OF ADVENTURE. So LET IT RIP! Season 2 was all about purpose, change and developing new skills. Remember the moment when Tina is in culinary school and looking at Carmy’s knife in her hand, smiling proudly, like it is a katana. “Let’s do this!”. The zoom in on her was straight out of a samurai movie. Same with Richie and his new (earned) suit: “feels like armor!”. And, not to forget, Marcus in Copenhagen. Season 2 is all about getting new skills and getting ready to rumble. It’s basically a big training montage. Because in the end of season 2 everybody is ready for CROSSING THE THRESHHOLD into new territory and „fight“. So Season 3 is all about the metaphorical fighting the way trough THE DARK FOREST. And it doesn’t look good, cause Carmy, as the leader of the pack, is haunted and stuck. And when we reach episode 9 (Apologies), EVERYTHING IS LOST. Mainly cause Carmy is no longer the beacon of hope, change and progress. But hope is around the corner, cause in episode 10 (Forever) he finally confronts his personal demon - Chef David. It’s the central turning point which is brilliantly analysed in this breakdown. And than there is his talk with chef Terry. So, if I’m right with this Heros Journey theory, season 4 will be all about “rebirth, atonement and return to the status quo”. In the end, there will be some kind award for Camry (Claire?) and elixir (maybe the insight, that “Every Second Counts” is not only a mantra for workin in a kitchen, but for life in general. By the way, a lesson Richie already learned in FORKS. That’s why this episode is universal loved by everyone. Richie already made the change, that Carmy has yet to make. Through out season 3, Carmy is a lost soul and has to realize that it’s not perfection, nor a Michelin Star whats important, but the people you serve and of corse, the people he works with. So, in a sense, he has to get rid of the ghost of Chef David and has to let the spirit of his brother Mikey and the joy The Beef back into his life and his restaurant. And to a degree, this is already is planted. Remember what joy Ebra experienced, when he is working with his old crew again? Cause like Natalie said, the Beef sandwiches are the only thing, that makes some steady money. By the way, my favorite episode in S3 is of course Napkins (with Ice Chips at a close 2nd). Tinas Story is so wonderful and uplifting and her talk with Mikey is so moving, that I suddenly felt this urge to see more of Mikey and his struggles and joys with The Beef. Maybe there is a prequel series in there somehow.

Tbh the only reason I liked the Kang Dynasty was the fact that I really liked Loki 😅

Same, honestly. The good thing is that Loki will still be involved in both films, even though Kang is gone.

At first a hated it but after spending a few days processing it I've kind of warmed up to the idea I do think it's dumb that one of marvel's most popular Romani characters will be playing by a white guy (no disrespectful to rdj) but I see the potential in this decision so I'll just have to wait and see

Yeah, it is a bummer in terms of representation, but we gotta let Marvel cook here, I have a feeling this might just work.

I agree Zeus and hercules shouldn’t be the big bad of the film since this supposed to be thors last stand alone movie I never read a lot of comics as a kid but I do know Thor and hercules become good friends they there’s Gota be another big bad then end up taking on together and the end of the movie

Gorge Miller’s Thor might be cool but Gorge Miller’s Wolverine staring Hugh Jackman would be my wet dream.

George Miller's Wolverine would be so unhinged, I'd LOVE that.
