      Active suspension UZZ32's that haven't seen maintenance in this decade are funny. The only time a UZZ32 is worth driving was the time it left this factory here- not waiting until 25+ years to obtain one lmao.

    • @thedamoguy
      @thedamoguy Рік тому

      @@evlsc400 tbh that statement can be applied to all types of cars that haven't had maintenance. UZZ32s don't have a whole lot needed to keep the sus system at 100%, the biggest issue being once they do have issues they basically are undriveable. In saying that its mostly just old HP seals that go and depleted lower nitrogen accumulators. My 32s drive like the day they came out of the factory.

    • @3UZFE
      @3UZFE Рік тому

      @@evlsc400 That is why doing maintenance is a thing, Ive restored my UZZ32 suspension, all new bushes, ball joints, seals and nitrogen recharges for the hydraulic system, drivings amazingly well, impossible to fault. They are certainly not a car for everyone, namely those too lazy or without skill to repair things themselves.

    The SC400 was a work of art, and it is a rare classic that you never see on the streets or anywhere, if I were rich and had a classic car collection this would be in it sitting right next to the original first generation Acura Legend Coupe , another rare classic. I always loved that commercial “ if you could be seen by person only once how would you like to be remembered “

    • @evlsc400
      @evlsc400 Рік тому

      The soarer is speed limited to 170km/hr and the digital dash doesn't read above 199km/hr. I don't want anyone's Soarer because it's never built to how I would like one, closest one is the 4.0 GT-L that was imported into USA a few months back with a 1UZ on ITB's and six speed sequential. I really don't care for a stock Soarer even if its active suspension (UZZ32) because they're always stock and nothing is changed in them, the failing back light bulbs, the cracked interior pieces lmao. This conversation only makes sense if we entered the year 1996 tomorrow and yes I'd gladly take a 1JZ Soarer over an SC400 but that's not by much and definitely not by todays standards. Plus my car was made in japan before the Supra was even a thing, so the Supra was built beside my SC in Japan, not the other way around.

    I'm glad that Toyota gave Lexus its coupe back, but the RC is a joke compared to this timeless beauty. The Z30 still looks good after a quarter century, the RC will look dated in just a few years. It's over-designed and dripping with tacky chrome, Toyota forgot at some point that sometimes less is more.

    I fell in love with this car when it was introduced. I was living in San Diego, CA. I sat in one at the LA Auto Show. Finally last June, I bought a black '95 SC 400. It now has over 202k and yet it drives like a new car. I get admiring glances and compliments on it. It has such an excellent design it makes you look back over your shoulder once you park it.

      solemandd67 I've had mine since 2012 and it really started to show its age. I had 199.000 miles when I first got it. Now it has 255,800 miles. That's 9.7 times around the world. I've paid $2000.00 for that car and now I've pretty much have invested over $4000.00 for parts and repair and that's not to mention a new paint job and a sound system. NEW FUEL PUMP, FUEL PUMP REGULATOR, BRAKE BOOSTER, HEAD GASKET, DISTRIBUTOR WIRES AND CAP, HARMONIC BALANCER, COMPUTER BRAIN, and REBUILT INSTRUMENT PANEL. It's pretty much a dinosaur. In five years it's going to be a classic. Never the less, it will always have that futuristic look that will never die out. :)

    This is from 1991, early 1991 to be exact and not 1992. The SC400 was released on June 1, 1991 as an early 1992 model. Not sure why everyone seems to think that model years are always indicative of calendar years. The Lexus dealers received this video by April 1991.
