Can you use clove essential oil? Is it the same?
Good question - Speak to your pharmacist to get clove oil that you can use on your teeth. If the only ingredient is clove oil in the essential oil, and it is not contaminated, then it could be used on teeth - see your dentist as soon as possible if you have a toothache.
Thanks for the video, I've got paronychia on my toe where the nail meets the skin - can you use magnesium sulphate paste for this?
It is possible to use magnesium sulphate paste to draw out pus for paronychia to relieve pain - but please see a podiatrist (foot specialist) to take a look and offer you advice as you may need antibiotics or other treatment. Thank you for watching and hope the infection clears 😊
What about pickles, chocolates?
If you have mouth sores, chocolate might be okay, but not pickles as they may cause a burning feeling
Unfortunately I'm suffering from body lice please suggest me home treatment ASAP
Body lice live on clothes and furniture (like bed and sofa) - so the treatment is to wash your clothes in hot water and there are more tips you can find here my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/17919-body-lice
Can I drink many water idk if I drink .many water cause I think that chicken pox is had liquid and it need to be dry I love to drink many water but idk if I can 🤷♂️
I think my English is bad I mean I like to drink many 💧 water but chicken pox is had pimple liquid what if it didn't dry and it became worse
Yes please drink water as you normally do, a bit more to help the skin to heal. The water you drink will not make the chicken pox worse
Thank you so much❤️.
Hi, can you please tell how to wash my face , body and hair ? Should i use a mild soap or direct water? I have really oily skin and after washing calamine lotion with plain water it remains oily and is really uncomfortable.
Hi, you can use a mild cleanser - anything that does not dry your skin 😊 then you can apply a light moisturiser afterwards
I studied this in school
That's great 🙌
So you mean that the pain can go forever
No not forever- you need to see a dentist
Iam from india ....A bed bug bite me at waist 1 yr ago ..After 1 week it gets swollen ..After 3 months i removed puss , after 1 month again that place again it swollen big ,, i used needle to remove that puss...But it was not puss only blood coming ,, that bite place swollen hard like little 1cm ball ...It is 1yr process,,what i have to do now😢😢😢

It is so good!!!
Will this help in heat rashes, i have heat rashes on my forehead, nose and on cheeks also
Try a small amount on the heat rash area to see if it helps - generally, it can be used to help relieve heat rash to reduce itching and cool the skin.
Can i use L carnitine. Does it cause any side effects.i have hypothyroidism and on medication.. sedentary lifestyle so nos i am thinking of changing the routine.clean food, protein isolate and L carnitine with exercise and diet..will it help as i am overweight.is it aafe
Hello, Thank you for your question - I recommend you speak to your doctor about taking it just in case it affects your medication. Losing weight can lead to changes in how much medication you take, so please speak to your doctor before taking anything like L carnitine or anything else. There may be other options that could help you and your doctor will be able to advise you.
can i apply moisturizer after using calamine lotion?
Good question- you should wash off the calamine lotion first, then you can apply moisturiser. You should not pit calamine lotion on then moisturiser on top as it will dilute the calamine lotion and it will not work like it should to help reduce itching
@@pharmacistv should i wash it with cleanser or just water?
You can wash with just water, no need for cleanser 😊
Hello again, when should be the proper time to put moisturizer? is it before calamine lotion or after calamine lotion? i just want to clarify! And thank you for being responsive! You are great!
Thank you - good question- you should not apply moisturiser at the same time or before or after using calamine lotion. When the chickenpox is gone and you no longer need to use calamine lotion, then you can apply moisturiser 😊
Hi mam I'm 18 Years old and now I have chicken pox Please tell me after how many days I'll be recovered
Hello, sorry to hear you have chicken pox- usually it takes 1 or 2 weeks for the virus to go away. Usually it gets worse (high body temperature and spots) before it gets better. Please see your pharmacist or doctor for treatment advice. Get well soon.
I love the way you explain and suggest other options as very...very professional...!!!
Thank you so much that is very kind of you! I appreciate your support :)
How many percent on tretinoin cream?
It depends on what the doctor prescribes 😊 everyone has different skin sensitivity to tretinoin.
Hi, After the removal of moluscs by using some chemical that dermarologist has applied i've got white spots at those places can you help as i am facing it since about a year
Hello, I recommend you show the white spots to your dermatologist so they can help 😊
How do you get it stamped
At a Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre (YFVC) - each centre has their own unique stamp which is registered so you know it's a real clinic.
Can we apply this on face overnight
Yes generally you can - please speak to your doctor or pharmacist to check it's right for you.
Can i apply this on my face
Generally yes, but if you have never used it on the face before then put a small amount to check you do not have a reaction to it. See your doctor or pharmacist for more advice if you are unsure.
Hey i got one on my nose should i be concerned Or should i just apply itching cream to stop the itchiness I got them like three days ago and there's alot now should and theres some on my ears and my in my hair should i be looked at by a doctor?and i keep throwing up green stuff is it ok if i eat burgers?
Hello, You can apply itching cream but only on skin that is away from sensitive areas (like the inside of your nose, or inside mouth, or near eyes, or on eyes, or near private genital areas) - before you apply anything please see your doctor or pharmacist to check you can apply it. Chicken pox can come up anywhere including the nose, ears and hair (scalp). It usually takes one to two weeks to completely go away. If you are vomiting you need to see a doctor, it is probably not a good idea to eat a burger if you are vomiting. Eat plain food like plain rice, plain crackers - there is a video here on what to eat if you have chicken pox: ua-cam.com/video/UwYfzeEy-QA/v-deo.html
Mam 17 din phle chikon pox hia tha ab black spot hai kya calamine lotion spot ko remove krne me help krega

Another great video! I got this vaccine recently but the nurse injected it into my muscle, is this okay?
Thank you! Yes that is okay - just keep an eye on it in case there is any swelling or a hard lump, then you may need to see the nurse to take a look to check for signs of infection or anything else. 😊
@@pharmacistv Thank you again for your advice! I will monitor it and get the nurse to check it out when I go back for my next appointment.
Great, to the point informative video. Hope you and your team are still creating.
Thank you so much 💓 I'm a one-person team right now (only me) 😆 Still creating ✨️ 😊❤️✨️
Mam mujhe 7 days phle chikon pox hua tha mai doctor ke pas gyi to unhone mughe momate f aur dramadew mix krke night me lgane ko lha hai kya ye safe hao
Hello, I think dermadew is a type of cream for the skin to help with sore skin - have you tried it already? If it does not help, speak to your doctor for advice.
Aap bahut achi hai reply kr deti hai@@pharmacistv
Hi im 15 and im on my 3rd day of chicken pox . It was all good i barely had any pimples on my face till i used calamine lotion on those pimples and some little red dots that i thouth were about to turn into chicken pox pimples i would re apply it every hour on my nose and around eyes and now i have lots of pimples on my face i wanted to know has the calamine affected my skin or not and what should i do to avoid scarring im really worried i would be dead if i get scars pls help me im crying right now 😭😭
Hello, sorry to hear about your experience with chickenpox - you do not need to apply calamine lotion that often on the face. Maybe apply less - every 3 to 4 hours. The spots will get worse over the fitst few days then they will all dry up and go away. The whole process takes 1 to 2 weeks. You are young so there is a lower chance of permanent scars. Please see your doctor about the spots and a skin expert like a dermatologist to avoid scars - they might give you a cream like retinol but only after all the spots have gone away. I hope you get well soon 😊
@@pharmacistv thanks for the answer i feel a lil more relived now😭
@@pharmacistv hi again umm should i use calamine lotion on my face pimples in their early stages or when they have dried up ?🥲
Hey, great question - you can put calamine when the spots are fresh all the way until they scab and fall off 😊 calamine will help with the itching which is usually when the spots are new and filling with liquid to become blisters. I hope you get well soon 😊
@@pharmacistv hi again . I have a question does my face pimples spread more through washing it with water? Like does the virus move to other side of my face . I don’t know how to wash the calamine cream off without getting more pinples
My father has hep B May i know how it effects daily life and things to do and don't in this time??
Sorry to hear this - generally he needs to be looked after by a doctor that knows about hepatitis B. Most people with hep B should avoid alcohol, high fat foods and smoking. Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. There may be medicines the doctor can prescribe that help lower how much hepatitis B is in the body to help.
Please help me, this is my 7th day with chicken pox, I started using Aciclovir, vitamin and zinc with calamine notion on the 3rd day prescribed by my pharmacist when the blisters occurs all over my face and body. Today which is 7th day, all the blisters on the face is already dried up but the one on my body are still there, when will they start peeling out or is there anything I should take. Please help me 🙏.
Hello, Sorry to hear about your experience - it looks like you are already recovering which is good news. Chicken pox usually lasts about one to two weeks, so over the next week the blisters on your body are likely to dry up. Speak to your pharmacist or doctor for advice 😊
thanks for this informative video.
Happy to help! Thank you for watching
Mam i have taken two full schedules of vaccinations before and one and half years before i had taken pre exposure vaccine, today may dog that is also vaccinated made minute scratch, should i get vaccinated
Hello, if your dog is vaccinated and you are vaccinated then take your dog to get a test for rabies. Then your doctor can decide if you need treatment 😊
Where does the certificate no. Is present in it
There is no certificate number, there is a YFVC number when they stamp your certificate to validate it in the clinic.
how many days will it take to be alright ?
Usually it takes 1 to 2 weeks to recover from chicken pox
Excellent video going over all the vaccines and when to update! Is it okay to get a second flu vaccine if you are travelling somewhere that flu season is starting?
Thank you so much! Yes absolutely you can get a flu vaccine generally if it has been over 6 months since your last flu vaccine and flu season has started wherever you are travelling (like Australia has flu season before the UK)
@@pharmacistv Thank you for your reply, it is very helpful! I'm leaving for a trip and got the extra flu vaccine just in case.
Glad to help ☺️ have a lovely trip!
I've got a small fine wood splinter that I can't actually see in my fingernail that's painful. Will it work for that if so spread the paste on top with a bandaid? I have the easier to apply Splintex in a tube
Heya, yes it should work for that, apply it and then put on a bandaid exactly like you said. Let me know how it goes :)
Thank u for the info. Its my 8th day of chicken pox and i the sores in my mouth are healed .can i eat something that i like or not ? ..and the rashes or pimple are turning darker yet still little itchy ..would it go away by its own ..if yes then in how much time ..? I've been skipping school due to this and i m really sad due to it .
Sorry to hear that you have been unwell. Yes you can eat all foods if the sores have healed.
Yes the pimples will go dark on the skin and feel itchy maybe for another week or so, and then go away on their own -it can take a few weeks for the colour to go back to normal . Drink water to help your skin heal. You can go back to school if all the spots have dried and healed :) Always speak to your doctor or pharmacist for advice as I cannot see your skin to offer advice, so these are just some thoughts to help you 😊
Hello i am not sure if I have chickenpox i have rashes on my skin for a month but it wasn't itching at all so i left it but it suddenly started to itch 😭 i can't tell my parents because they might take me to the hospital and i recently came for the hospital since i had dangue 😢 I don't want to go through that again 😢
Hello, sorry to hear this- if you have had a rash for a month then this might not be chicken pox, you will need to see a doctor or pharmacist to check your skin. I hope you are feeling better after dengue fever, it can take some time to recover from that.
@@pharmacistv ok thanks ❤️
Heloo dr...i am suffering from chicken pox from last 3 days and every another day blisters are getting more and more....😢 I have taken medicines also...and Dr prescribed me to keep *Neem leaves* around the place where I am...can neem leaves be helpful???? Also my whole body is getting itchy and pain is extreme...how to cure it??? And also I am lossing my appetite...so what other than regular meals i can eat ??? Please tell❤
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. From my research keeping neem leaves is not going to help you. You need medicines from your pharmacist to reduce itching like antihistamine and pain relief like paracetamol. Coconut oil will not do anything, but you can eat it. If you cannot eat meals, try to have sweet drinks or ice cream or use a blender or mash your food to make it easier to eat (like mashed Boiled potatoes). Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist for advice to help you 😊 I hope you get well soon.
@@pharmacistv thanku ma'am❤️
Thank you, i really needed this for my blocked nose
Thank you 😊 Glad it was helpful for you
Does it work for very deep splinters inside the skin?
Heya, sorry it does not work for very deep splinters inside the skin. That will need to be seen by a doctor to decide.
@@pharmacistvoh, okay
Pregnant women can't use it?
That's right - pregnant women should not use clove oil as we do not have enough research to show it is safe. Always speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine especially if you are pregnant.
Just go and visit a good reputed dermatologist, don't ever self treat molluscum..... its contagious and can easily spread on to other parts of the body and to others too..... Scary.....
Yes always see a healthcare professional - dermatologist would be ideal 😊
Always so informative, thank you ❤
Thank you Jo 😊 🙏 💓
Heyy...! 😔 I am having alot of blisters all over my body including fingers, ears and toungue. I dont exactly know about the number of days i suffered. But today i am having a lot of itching in my whole body and i am not able to sit or lay down on my bed. So i didn't had proper sleep from two days. Some of blisters are slowly getting healed but new one are still coming over my skin. Can you please help me to cure this
So sorry to hear you are going through this, you could try sitting in a cool bath (not ice water), and wrapping an ice pack or frozen food in a towel then pressing it onto your skin. The spots will come and go for a few days, then they will all crust over and fall off. See a pharmacist for Antihistamines to help reduce itching and some cream to prevent skin infection like antiseptic first aid cream. They may offer you paracetamol for pain (but don't take ibuprofen). I hope you get well soon.
Madam after applying calamine lotion I m feeling too much itching
You might be allergic to calamine so please stop using it - you might need to use antihistamine cream instead, or swallow antihistamine tablets or liquid by mouth - see your pharmacist or doctor to find one suitable for you 😊
@@pharmacistv sure doctor thanks for your valuable reply ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This lotion actually works, im on my day 3 of having chicken pox and I have a lot of blisters / bumps but i dont have any itchy problems thanks to my pills and lotion
So glad to hear calamine lotion has helped you and you are getting better 🙌 thank you for watching ☺️
@@pharmacistv it actually didn't. Right now when I'm writing this, my body is itching so bad.... I wanna die at this point. The lotion never done anything for me
Sorry to hear that, you might want to try antihistamine cream instead, or take an antihistamine tablet or liquid by mouth - speak to your pharmacist about which one is right for you - for now, you can sit in a cool bath or have a cool shower to help reduce the itching, or wrap an ice pack in a towel and press that against your skin to help. Hope you get better soon 🙏
Hi ma'am, so i got diagnosed with chicken pox after 3 blisters appearing on my body. A pharmacist gave me paracetamol tablets but i used it wrong. I should've used it when my body itch. Took 2 pills today. Will there be any harms to my body?
You can use paracetamol to help with pain or sore skin, the skin does not need to be itchy for you to take paracetamol. You can take two 500mg paracetamol tablets at one time, then wait around 6 hours to take two 500mg tablets again if you need it. It sounds like you didn't do anything wrong - please speak to your pharmacist if you are not sure - I hope you get well soon 😊
Thanks for the video, we used this on my 4 year old brother and he kept crying even more when used it and we thought we did something wrong
Sorry to hear that, I hope your brother is feeling better- if it does hurt to apply then stop using it, some people can be sensitive to the lotion so the cream is more gentle. There are alternatives like cooling gels, or taking antihistamine liquid medicine by mouth, and skin can be sore so a painkiller might help like paracetamol. Hopefully you can see a pharmacist or doctor nearby to get the right treatment for him. Glad you found the video helpful 😊
Can a suger patient can take l carnitine is it safe for them actually it's help in weight loss so can a suger patient take l carnitine supplements like pills 💊
Great question! It depends - I recommend speaking to a registered dietician or doctor that specialises in nutrition. Sugar patients need to control the level of sugar in their blood which is mostly linked to the food they eat and how much they exercise, so a supplement like L-carntine might have little effect.
@@pharmacistv thank you soo much this is very helpful
Hi, I just got my chicken pox it almost 4 days and mine is like the liquid comes out then the liquid hardens on the face area. Can I wash my face or should I leave it dry? cause many people said that if the dried fluid comes off before it should it will leave scars that won't disappear :( please advise me thank youu
You can wash your face, but be gentle to avoid pulling the skin which can cause scars - use a clean towel and pat your skin dry, then you can apply a moisturiser and antiseptic cream on the spots to avoid infection. If you are worried about scars, when everything is fully healed then please see a doctor who specialises in skin (called a dermatologist) to help. They might recommend retinol cream.
