@@sparksnmagic8695 you can drop your luggage off that you want sent to the room and only bring your carryon into customs with you. I believe you drop your bags off THEN park your vehicle, or if you are using a ride share service they’ll be able to help direct you.

You are right about the park and stay package being a great deal, I misunderstood the hotel manager when he was explaining parking options or the park and stay rate would have been included in this video. Maybe I can pin a comment explaining this rate, as it really does make this hotel an attractive option for pre cruise stays!

Thanks for commenting! Check the McHenry Row website for an accurate list of restaurants and their times as the burger joint was closed the last time we were here. You can always pick up items at Harris Teeter for a meal in your room, and the bistro in the lobby offers limited hours with tasty bites also!

So yes all flights go in and out of one terminal, and there is a bit of walking involved so if you’re concerned I would order a wheelchair to help you get from point A to point B. You do not get shuttled to a car, there are ready to go rentals parked in the closest parking structure, so once you’ve gone to the car rental agent they will direct you across the arrivals drive and which floor of the garage to pick up your vehicle. We’ve done midnight flights and it’s nice that there aren’t many people around so hopefully service will be quick for picking up your rental! Good luck!!!

@@PlumCrazyAdventures thank you for your quick respones. sorry to be so picky about the distance from car rental to where the ready to go rentals are. hope we are talking 600 feet. and then on return is when i drop it off site and catch a shuttle to the airport. am i right? thank you.

@@dumpstadee8371 I believe you drop off where you pick up, but if you’re concerned about the distance I would call the car rental agents directly to verify exact distances as we’ve never rented a car from here since it’s our home airport.

Thanks for commenting! We received an email from the hotel manager prior to our stay asking if we were celebrating anything (we were, our son’s birthday) and they were kind enough to upgrade us. I will say the first week of December is a slower travel season for tourists so the hotel wasn’t full which definitely played a part in our upgrade. When we checked in they told us we had been upgraded, though in our 15+ years of traveling together we have never been upgraded anywhere, so I’m not sure what the likelihood is of you getting upgraded for free. If you like the 2 bedroom suite I would just book it, as there aren’t many of them in the hotel and they will sell out if you are going during mid-to-peak travel season. As for advice, book the room you want, the staff is phenomenal so interact with them, and if you need help booking your trip reach out to us! We would be thrilled to help you out!

Thank you, and thanks for commenting! If you are making a left out of this hotel it can be hard to get out of, we recommend if traffic is heavy to turn right and go to the light to turn around. Hope this helps!

Thanks for commenting! Sorry the algorithm never gave us a notification you had commented. I would say between taking the escalators and going through security, it will take 10-15 minutes to get to a park entrance, slightly longer for Universal Orlando Park bc it’s a tad farther than IOA.

No issue all good, ee dont leave for ages yet, but always good to have an idea.

@@melisaarthur81 of course! Always give yourself extra time to get where you need to go when using the busses, you never know when you may get stuck at the world’s longest red light or encounter a giant line at security.

It may be a bit late to answer your question but you can order ahead and then eat in the restaurant, it's normally packaged to go if it's mobile ordered but you can let a cast member know at the pickup window that you are eating in the restaurant and if it's not already prepared (and they aren't slammed) they can generally accommodate and plate it for you instead.

As for the cold, I live further north now, therefore, I am acclimated to the cold, so I am OK with that... One question I have is about the snow. Online resources report that in the worst winter months, Jan & Feb, neighboring Rector, PA gets an average of 4" of snow. The realtor that I am working with reports that the region gets far more snow than that. I am considering buying a home in Rector, PA, which I realize is adjacent in Ligonier; I expect I would be move involved in Ligonier. If you would be so kind, please give me an idea about the annual snowfall, or even the snowfall for one month, say January. Also, the highway that takes you to Rector is very mountainous, with some roadways having a steep drop where the far right edge of the road ends. Is this common in the region?
