Thanks for a great tour of the ship. We’ve sailed on the Vision and prefer the smaller older ships. Our next sailing is Sept 5 to Canada New England. Can’t wait to get back on the Vision!!
Thanks for sharing, very nice review! We’ll be sailing to Bermuda on Vision in September. Specifically chose it because we prefer the older, smaller ships. The problem, to me, with the new ships like Icon & the Oasis class is that most of their bells and whistles require extra payment - the activities and amenities included in your cruise fare are essentially the same across the fleet. Hoping RCI builds more of these Baltimore/Tampa sized ships in the future.
@@lngvly22 thanks for commenting! I agree, we hope to see some smaller ships come through for smaller ports built over the next several years, there are more in the pipeline ordered but details haven’t been released. Enjoy your cruise!!!
@@tmur7231 thanks for commenting! It is an older ship (the original in Vision class) so it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles Utopia or Icon have, and the price certainly reflects that. Are you thinking of cruising aboard her?
Thank you for making this video ❤ We took our honeymoon on her in July of 2014, and now we are on her again 10 years later for Christmas 2024🎄!! We are so excited to cruise on the most beautiful ship!! Such good memories ❤

Hello ALL! I could really really use some help. I'm booked my very first cruise the other night with Royal Caribbean and my ship is Vision of the Seas. I was going to get the drink pkg, but I don't have any idea what is actually available. I have gout, and it can get pretty severe if I start drinking the wrong alcohol. Last thing I want is to be air lifted off the ship in the middle of vacation. Does anyone know which bars on Vision of the Seas has draft beer on tap and which more importantly which brands. (i.e. miller light, Guinness, Porter etc). Also is water included in the drink package? I have been on the phone with customer service and combed through their website but there really are not specifics on these things. THANK YOU in advance to anyone that responds with correct information. I really do appreciate it.
@@1realtruthrightnow742 first, congratulations on your first cruise, you’ll LOVE the Vision! So water, juice, tea, and basic coffee is included in your cruise fare. If you want sodas you’ll need to upgrade to the sodas package and alcohol one of the alcohol packages. I will have to research the draft beer options on board, would you mind sending us message on our Facebook page or sending us an email (megan@plumcrazyadventures.com) so we can forward the info to you when we get it?
@@lizzybennett4436 I think Vision has one of the best crews at sea, but I certainly understand where she isn’t for everyone. Unfortunately with smaller ships it’s harder to have all the bells and whistles, and Baltimore port just isn’t big enough for larger ships right now.
@@PlumCrazyAdventuresI always heard that the bigger cruise ships couldn’t get into Baltimore because they couldn’t get underneath the Key Bridge. So that makes me wonder if when they build a new bridge if they will somehow make it taller for the bigger cruise ships? Or, is it also an issue with the actual port not being big enough or deep enough? It would be fantastic if they could get the bigger, more luxurious cruise ships into Baltimore. There is a huge base of cruisers here.
We sailed on the Vision in 2013 for a Baltic Sea Cruise. This was the year before it got dry-docked for refurbishing. We had a fantastic cruise then, we love small ships better....

great review. my parents talked me into going on this cruise with them through a 3rd party.. im kind of disappointed that this is what I get for $1,500. A day in Florida and 2 days in the Bahamas when I could've gotten a whole week in the Bahamas at a decent place. I just feel like they could've done better. GREAT review though. Is it more of an older crowd? Im trying to figure out how to entertain myself for the other days on board.
@@k.b2457 thanks for commenting! The ship is definitely set up more for an older crowd but you will find bars and entertainment venues open and ready to keep you entertained during your cruise. My recommendation is to consider a spa package so you can luxuriate a bit, and spend time with your parents doing trivia or a mixology class, or even sit on the top deck and enjoy the sunshine together.

Thanks for this video. We are taking this exact ship, out of Baltimore, in October, when it goes up the East Coast to Canada. This will be our very first cruise ever, and I have to be honest in that I have been concerned about the age of the ship. My husband says my standards are too high! 👸🏼👑 Lol. Would I love to go on one of the giant new Royal Caribbean ships? Of course! But, right now he can’t fly so this is our option for leaving from our hometown of Baltimore. @@welovegoldens have a wonderful cruise, we’re jealous! Someday we will do that fall foliage itinerary. 😉 We also hope that with the bridge being rebuilt Baltimore will be able to accommodate some larger class ships in the future, but for now I think we have a gem in Vision! I'm not a hater of Royal, I sail them all the time. I was completely shocked when I saw this ship in port. Had no idea it was the Vision or even a Royal ship. It looks terrible. Like a ship from the 70s. Not only outdated but the exterior looks like it was little to no upkeep. I've seen really poor ships from carnival and this was every bit as poor from the outside. I know Royal does a good job updating interiors, but still think the standard balcony is definitely sub par at best unfortunately. Just not worth sailing on with so many other Royal ships available.
