2019 does it intermittently but pressed and held the +volume and seems to fix the issue. Happened 2x in 6months. Will probably replace the clock spring like others

thanks to whoever did this. i havent been in a long time and it is so nice to see it again. my family has gone every year in one way or another since the late 90s. i have a fond memory sitting in the back of the truck with hot chocolate we got at the shack there. that was the last time we were all together before we went our separate ways.

Hey Jody-Nice video! I guess great minds think alike (haha). You and I have the same Wired bike & the same bike rack. I love this rack! Very sturdy. Holds my Wired bike very securely. Looking forward to when I can get a 2nd e-bike to load up on this rack.

I had exact same problem in 2017 F150: volume up changes source. I replaced clock spring and FIXED THE PROBLEM. The new clock spring is WVE brand made by trusty NTK/NGK It's below $100 from rockauto and 30 minute job. Because it is such a simple device: front and back connectors connected by a ribbon cable, I hoped to fix it by soldering the break point. I fully disassembled the OE clock spring, but found no smoking gun. Ribbon looks new. I checked every inch. No kink or tear. On ends, the ribbon's exposed copper leads are "welded" (solderless) to copper pins, and I found no obvious broken weld either. I used multimeter and tested continuity between every pair of pins on 2 sides. They are all good. A better continuity test would be doing so while rotating or wiggling the device. But I couldn't handle the multimeter and rotate it at same time. I'd say the weld is the weakest point. There could be a crack in it.

Jody, I have the opposite problem. I have the Topeak rack on my bicycle already but I want to slide a non-Topeak bag onto it. I am told there is an adapter plate which is then riveted onto the bottom of your non-Topeak bag. Have you seen one?

What town in east texas is this?

No longer works this way with the current way they are mounting the rack. You can't put the two screws in, and it isn't stable. I ended up using zip ties at the front end for stability.

Ever seen any alligators in there ?

I have same Young Sole rack with ramp, Aventon Sinch. Step thru. Mature 73...load by self. Must use ramp! Holds securely when driving to trailhead. I use to upright post first.

Thanks for posting this footage. I’m on FM 279 five miles east of Edom. Six trees on my property were uprooted and laid across 279 during this.

Out on 2661 near DQ. Husband literally sucked off patio & thrown toward fence while yelling at me get in closet. He said there was a tornado in air yet news said high winds. Thks for posting this.

Note: You can see the second tornado forming on the ground clearly at the 0:25 second mark towards the left side of the video. The vortex from the cloud above is not visible.

I live out that way but I wasn't home but when I got home it was bad my neighbor had a tree on her home. Stuff was tossed all in my yard it was bad

a good idea to lock the bike also while on the rack. some bike thieves may try to steal your bike while at a stop light.
