Hybrid fishing 2024 at Oak Hollow Lake in High Point, NC.

Boone Lake was drawn down for about 10 years due to troubles with the dam. It is now back to full pool, but they still draw it down in the winter for spring thaw. It is known for quality, not quantity fish. Stripers, Hybrids, Brown Trout, and Smallmouth Bass. First time I have been here in about 13 years. Bait was deep and I was using shiners most of the time.

Catching a 40 inch musky in the allegheny river mid august from the bank. Musky followed lures and hit one bucktail before committing to a Castaic 10 inch rainbow trout swim bait.

Catching schooling bass on topwater small lake in NC. Chugg Bugg is a great lure when bass are schooling and you want to keep the bait in the strike zone. Most bass were caught after throwing to a swirl or bust on top of the water. Fish were in 7ft or less of water. Prespawn.

Winter fishing in NC. Catching some stripers, hybrids and largemouths on Alabama rigs. Slow trolling 1 MPH, getting down to 20 ft.
