Cloning Mancuso's Helix Tone On Axe FX 3 - Tutorial!
This is a relatively uncut video demonstrating my initial process of figuring out how to approach recreating a sound. Im not perfect at it - but I think I am getting reasonably better. There's nuances that I still miss but that's some next level stuff if I could manage that in 30 minutes! I hope you enjoy this video, I think it's fun to try and expose my process like this.

Just got this. Missing the USB cable for the Snare 😢
YOU CAN record via usb by going to SYSTEM -> USB AUDIO -> Change the setting on the bottom from "GENERIC" To "VENDOR". This changes the data going through the cable from Midi only to Midi & Audio. Appreciate the commenter that called me out and I started digging. GL HF!
So apparently I was wrong about the KV2's ability to record audio via the USB! If you want, check out the video by this dude that showed this process specifically. (but it's a simple process. Just go to system -> USB Audio -> then swap the mode from "Generic" to "Vendor". which changes the data going through usb from Midi only to midi & Audio. Amazing! ua-cam.com/video/yxhp091BUE0/v-deo.html
really cool rundown, but seems like your audio is mono
That's a nice piece you played.....was it anything in particular?

@@MoXyiD i just bought the TD27vk2 myself. any recommendations on recording software for both audio and video? gonna upload a view myself with a bit of luck
What's the point of this? I was expecting some type of feedback...
im going to assume you didnt watch the video - its basically to add additional lines of effects incase 1 line isnt good enough
@@MoXyiD This is not the type of "feedback" I was searching for. There are several videos where you can apply block and configure to simulate controlled feedback. You grab a note and hold it and it's like you're standing in front of a loud amp and it sustains the harmonic of the note. I'm not clear what this videos meaning of feedback is. Wasn't what I was looking for.
@@DMDvideo10 i understand what type of feedback youre talking about - but this video is based on the "feedback" block. Hope that helps.
This does not sound like C&C….
I would like to know block order and difference when you put them up and down.

Is this guy kidding? Just use the usb to record directly
If you can- show/tell me how please! Or link a video and I’ll pin it. I’m not being sarcastic- the usb transfers midi/timing data but not raw audio. My setup now has cables to a mixer and audio interface - which can record direct audio. But memory card still remains a good choice because you can keep the direct soloed recording without needing a daw to send it off and mix it down. Glhf!
idk what youre yapping about i heard it just fine
also deez nuts use usb to record directly to your chin
Hey - you were right! I found the setting after ALL This time. Thanks for proving me wrong!
The big finger dow winner of the year. desastre
its funny, I used this keyboard for a few months - then traded it back in for a Yamaha montage. the sounds werent bad, but the operation of it was treacherous
I don't find the pianos' sounds on the MODX particularly appealing. What do you think? Any recommendation?
honestly, they're okay - but im not super impressed. they're free - which is great, but the montage pianos (especially the moody one) is amazing. so i typically stick to that.
vg buddy! well presented. ps, do away with annoying music.
@@daisypodd Thank you!
For me this is was the best drum for mid range even professional 1 thing that I hate it’s a kick pad still same like td 07 and 17 Well I give this 9.5/10
this drum kit is killer. Ive had it for over a year now, and its fully implemented into my new studio space and I use it all the time. and I agree about the kick- i wish it was a bit bigger - but it would be hard to fit in my space, so i deal with the 'minor' caveat. i bet its possible to replace with a higher end kick if wanted.
Omg... totally useless... wanted to know how to use the coach feature but he just says what they do.... ugh.... completely useless... why even take the time yo upload something like this?
@@luisutil9070 hey, sorry i missed this. The coach feature is a way to practice and is so self explanatory(or look up the manual yourself), it would be a very boring part of the video. If you have this kit, then you should just try it. Otherwise, when you do finally get one- you’ll see you never needed my help in the first place. Glhf!
Damn, I've been going to in-person drum lessons for six weeks, which costs £65 per month, and I'm nowhere near the level you got to in 3 weeks using Drumeo. Think I'm gonna switch 😂
If youve got the drive and motivation to be consistent on your own - it's extremely efficient. I wanted to be able to drop beats for myself on the guitar. I am definitely able to put down a basic beat comfortably! Id give it a whack!

I've been a member of Musora/Piano for about 3 years. I've found the material very good. One of the best features of Musora is their song tutorials. After all, that's what people want to do is play their favorite songs. There was a fairly large library of different song tutorial. Recently, their song tutorials was drastically reduced. They issued a statement on their website that they were working with the licensing agents to allow them to used these songs. That may take a long time. That was a big negative since their song tutorial library was so drastically reduce. Another issue I have with Musora is they Never answer their phones! I've called at various times of the day, including early morning and receive the same prerecorded message. In the message, they give the caller an option to post their call in a cue for a return call instead of waiting online. I've done that and Never received a return call. My experience with Musora initially was very good but it's soured because of these recent changes and interactions.
I got Pianote for Black Friday last year thinking I'd get a piano for Christmas. Well, things being as they are, I didn't get a piano until a month ago (July 7th). It's now August 13th and I'm about a month in and it's been great. I'm not progressing super fast, but faster than I expected. I also supplement with UA-cam videos for certain songs I'm trying to learn, but the core of what I'm doing is on Pianote. Pianote is worth the money and I'll renew for sure.
I couldnt agree more. thats my exact approach as well. pianote does a great job consolidating the information
Thanks 🤟

Dude I just signed up this weekend. I’m wondering which pathway you started with? I’m torn between Late Intermediate and CAGED. I had a look at the intermediate pathway and feel like I already know 99% of that.
id probably go to CAGED if youve got no experience with it. that thang is really good. but just find what you actually like. the neo-soul lessons are great, too!
@@MoXyiD cheers dude. Nice playing here by the way!
Avoid Pickup Music at ALL COSTS! It is a scam that makes many claims about its platform but does not deliver. It has many many glitches and issues and this equates to gaping holes within the education progress. IMO.
This is so nice to hear
thanks for listening.
I know this is unrelated but it's refreshing to see a beginner drummer taking their time playing just simple, solid drum beats and basic fills instead of feeling the pressure / temptation to immediately rush into crazy chops. On that note, how is your journey going?
It's going great! ive had a baby and a few other large detours but it's fantastic! Im taking my time, and really enjoying the process.
Does it come with the hi hat stand? Which is it?
Mines reversed. I have to rock in forward for it to cut off. No idea why.
Thanks
Question Why does the return and send give you more blocks? Wouldn't it technically give you less since you are using up one space for the send and return? I just assume it is to look nicer than the other methods. But I rarely see people use up a full line with doing parallel blocks and stuff. Another question, the amp block I use have a distortion pedal in it. So I just remove the drive and use it in the amp. Have you seen it or noticed it is a feature? I didn't for a while. I will try that drive. Sounds cool. I do death metal so we usually stick to a ibanez tube screamer OD with the mod. I set it to little to no drive and basically max tone. Did you ever mess around with the pitch shifter? If done right, it give a major sound. Especially you pick the ones with the delay. I do a 40 to 50ms delay to kinda make it sound layered. Then same with the IR setting from the cab. Moving the dynamics a bit off gives a bigger sound but not as much as the delay.
To answer your question - because when you go from simple left to right you get 1 row to use. When if i want more than that for effects i must use a send/receive to extend my usable left to right space. I have used to pitch shifter in high gain stuff. Its mega cool. You can get some gnarly riffs with it. Have fun man! Thanks for the question/comment!
Hello, this is a very insightful video thanks a lot. Just a question, on the app or website, for tabs and video pictures or explanations, there's a gesture to flip the fingerboard for lefties? Can you tell? Thanks

Ok... so how do you define what a 'good flashdrive' is?
It must satisfy the requirements i mention. under 4GB, FAT32 and reads / writes reliably. the reliability is negotiable but the other two arent.
Yeah man, you really provide great insight where no one else does!!!
i have a scarlett 2i2 and a axe fx 3, how could i run my mic and guitar without a mixer?
I'm not being mean, but you don't know what a talk box is. It is a tiny speaker that plays your guitar signal. It is not sampled or filtered. The sounds comes up the tube into your mouth, and then out your mouth into a microphone. That mic is then amplified using an amp that is different than you guitar amp. The signal is not mixed. The only filtering is how you shape the sound with your jaw. Also, they came out in the 70's, not the 80's (Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Tony Maiden, etc) Maybe you were thinking of a vocoder? Thank you for the Fractal info though 👍
Hey - not to retort for no reason, but this video is about the formant. And the purpose of a formant is to serve as a 'digital' talk box. the filtering im referring to is about the formant itself - not the talk box. I do make it sound like the 'talk box' is the part faking vowel inputs though. Have a nice day!
