Minister Bartlett Highlights Parallels Between Jamaica and Georgia at World Tourism Day Summit
During the recent World Tourism Day Summit in Tbilisi, Georgia, Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, noted striking similarities between Jamaica and Georgia, particularly in their approach to tourism and hospitality. Commenting on the cultural synergy between the two nations, Minister Bartlett remarked: “Certainly, the hospitality resonates because it’s the kind of hospitality that Jamaica offers. Today, I heard your deputy minister saying the people of Georgia are the iconic attraction, and it seems they have hospitality in their DNA, and I wondered whether she was borrowing my metaphor because that’s what I say every day about the people of Jamaica.”
Minister Bartlett also underscored the importance of people-to-people connections as a vital element in tourism's role as a peace-building tool, drawing parallels between the two countries in terms of population size and tourism’s impact on economic growth. He expressed enthusiasm about Georgia’s potential as a destination, reiterating that personalities and authentic hospitality help foster meaningful connections, making tourism a driver of peace and unity worldwide.

This man could be the worst tourism minister Jamaica ever have. He is boasting about things that were there before he came to power. Jamaica still has not recovered since Covid 19, unlike most Caribbean countries. ua-cam.com/video/MMv5t5m6qsk/v-deo.htmlsi=kB9XdmxdpPnXaVk1

SOLUTION STRATEGY : Boost your bookings, by inviting Recorder Revolutionist to appear on your web sites. Recorder Societies & Ensembles of America, Europe, U.K., Austria, Canada, Japan, etc, will automatically be attracted to your Resorts; if my serenade is featured there. Tourists would appreciate & enjoy being allowed to travel with their recorders to Resort Hotels. It would be so harmonious, to see & hear tourists playing their recorders, flutes, tin whistles, etc, on balconies, in their rooms or on the lawns of Hotels. Share & enact my vision; to start a new mutually beneficial trend for tourism. Win more awards, for embracing sentiments & tradition of tourists.

I was more impressed by her breaking the rules and giving Ansle money to take the taxi...that was a genuine act of kindness..but Jamaicans need to stop the nonsense talking that Ansle should marry the young lady..it's as if the people expect Ansle to discard any women he may have had in his life who have been there for him, because of this one act of kindness.. Arent there kind black women in Jamcan for Anske?.Jamaicans asking Ansle to marry this lady is reflective of the way back people..especially black men..are quick to abandon the black woman, family and community.. I hope Ansle marry whoever he chooses.. and not who the country Chooses for him.

BEAUTIFUL💕💕💕💞 This Shall serve as a Symbol of the Ultimate Reward for kindness. A SYMBOL that stands high for the world to see. This young lady did not know what she was about to get herself into. She gave the Olympic Runner her only money to help him get to his Semifinals Race. The man eventually qualified for the Finals & became the CHAMPION..🌞 This is what Japan would have wanted from their people; to be humble, be Kind, and show love to each other & the tourists that comes to their country. Tijuana did just that.💯💯💯💯 And What better way to Reciprocate her kindness but to engage her through the true Spirit of Tourism.🌞🌞🌞🌞 It was imperative of the Jamaican Government to use it's Diplomatic Channel to reach out to her, so as to Really Really embody the full Spirit of Tourism to let her see & feel the love and appreciation for her bold act of kindness. The young Miss did not know what she was doing, but just trying to help!!🔥🔥🔥 Now it has become real to her. Her actions is now seen all over the world, & it will serve as motivation to others. This Gesture will also serve as a Motivation for us to always acknowledge kindness... No matter how small it comes. Tijuana did not Know of the Jamaica & Japan love. Now there she is sitting in the middle of it.😊😊 I'm sure this will not be the end for her...🙏🙏 The world would like to meet her as well.🙏🙏 Thank you to the Jamaican Government. You made a very very ICONIC MOVE SO ICONIC.😊 YOU TREATED THE GESTURE WITH THE HIGHEST DEGRE OF RESPECT🙏 RESPECT TO THE JAPANESE OFFICIALS AS WELL. I HOPE SHE ENJOYS HER TRIP. I HOPE SHE GETS AN OLYMPIC MEDALS AS WELL😁 .

I'm concern about the bias this minister had for Ocho Rios for a long time now. His constituency is in St James, so he always see Ocho Rios as a rival to Montego Bay. However, being a minister of tourism, his duty is to oversee the development of all six areas designate as " tourism corridor " by the Jamaica Tourist Board (Negril, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Port Antonio, Kingston/port Royal and the South Coast). Ocho Rios in particular, has been overlooked by this minister in terms of upgraded infrastructure (unless complaint by tourism officials), harrassment and beautification to name a few. Case in point, look at the Rose Hall "elegant corridor", compares to Ocho Rios main road which stretches from White River to Drax Hall. There should be four lane roadways line with palm trees and streetlights just like Rose Hall main road. Also, the overgrown trees hanging over the road for years now. Mammee Bay is yet to be developed-- which was originally plan with the MOU ( memorandum of understanding) signed by China Harbour and the then PNP government to build three hotels. Plus, the artisan village was plan since the summer of 2011, and December 29 that same year JLP lost the election. Now, that same promise has been surfaced since 2019 and this year 2020 might be dejavu again because PM Andrew Holness considering the possibility of calling the election and who knows how its gonna turn out!!!!!! #WhatAWaste
