I'm thinking about buying one of these. The only concern I have is that I love Analog Lab, including the full virtual synths. I'm not sure if I can use that sound library with this keyboard, either in the keyboard or connected to a separate computer. I understand that Arturia's midi controllers integrate with the full Analog lab instruments but I'm not sure this will. Do you know about that? How do you feel about this keyboard 2 years down the line from when this video was posted?

When I change the scene the Fantom takes 3 seconds to properly load the next scene, while my Roland Go Keys can swap between scenes instantly. Am I doung something wrong? Polyphony? Some sounds only? Or is that the way it is?

Hey! I am considerung to buy the -08, However I'm afraid of the keys wearing out and getting noisy since it has happened before to me... have you had issues with them?

Do you still have the Roland Fantom 06? I also have one. When I hold down the bass keyboard button and quickly turn the master volume back and forth loudly and quietly, I get a scratching noise. not with the slider. Is that the case with you too? Thanks.

Does Fantom 08 have polyphony issues? I saw people on UA-cam saying that Fantom 06 and 07 have polyphony issues and have even demonstrated it.

I just got a fantom as well. Can you please help me with the set up? I am not technical whatsoever. I plugged in a usb from my computer to the fantom, but it is not working when I try to use on garage band. I really don't know anything about workstations or even the set up process. I will pay for instructional help with set up.

I’ve just bought the 08. Great keyboard but find the action very heavy. Would have preferred it slightly lighter. But the power of the keyboard and the tones are fabulous.

well, i figured out that the firmware needed to be updated, however, I've gone through like 7 flash drives, and formatted them on the Roland, but none of them would work to update the software, so I am assuming that I need to buy a specific USB drive. What is the name, brand, and size of the USB thumb drive you used??

Great video man, I really like how you clearly have passion about your fantom and music in general, it comes across in the video very clearly. It makes watching your videos way more enjoyable and digestible than all the other vids I've seen lately. Anyways I've had my Fantom for about a month now, and I still can't wrap my head around the sheer POWER these keyboards have..... We're about a decade away from keyboards with 15" OLED screens and having windows 10 with full DAWS on deck haha.

Those pads are not for drumming, is that true?

idk if it’s cause it’s a condenser mic but I did the same thing and the piano knows and receives there’s a mic but when I speak into it there’s no noise and nothing

There's a little knob on the back next to the Mic input. Hope that helps. Else, it could be impedance issue.

Wow, this is a real eye opener! I used to use a Roland D20 workstation synced to a 4 track portastudio. The only way to have them in sync was to start the track at the begining with no pauses or stops, so your audio tracks had to be right or else start from the beginning again. Yet I was way more productive on that setup than with Cubase and all the plugins etc. I have now. Maybe the Fantom is the way forward! Thanks for your video 👍.

I want to buy a Roland for composition, live without a daw (with the presets), to create too through a daw, with good rhodes, organ, grand piano, classic piano but I don't know what to choose between FA 08 and Fantom 08, I'm lost bro, can you help me ? 🙏😭😄
