This is so funny to me, so I'm actually Dutch, but English is like a second language to me. Now while watching your video, I'm in my English mindset and I just heard the Radio Q-Music tune and hole sh*t that sounds a lot like a radio channel from GTA when I don't listen to it in my Dutch language mindset. The cop is straight up listening to Flash FM 😭🤣
Sad thing about aspargus: People often steal overnight the whole field from a farmer. It's easy and fast done.
There is a movie about the Waltzing Journeymen by the much lauded brothers Dominik and Benjamin Reding, it's called FÜR DEN UNBEKANNTEN HUND from 2007. Worth watching, I recommend it. Another, much older film about this tradition is SPUR DER STEINE from 1966, produced in the former GDR - the ruling SED party then forbid it, but it, too, became sort of an iconic movie.
did you say MOIN as a greeting?????? I as a North German celebrate this very much and thank you
What did they smoke or drink in their offices????
Okay, sometimes I don´t see the point. The parking spot can´t be used anyways, due to the construction works and they already promised to fix the railing. The mistake will propably never impact the family. Just an honest mistake, no buerrocracy preventing it to be fixed, nobody insisting, that it is fine as it is. It isn´t even an expensive error, half an hour with a cutting tool and the excess piece is gone.
The bridge 😂😂😂 Ein bissel zu lang 😂😂😂 Jaaaaaaaa , das ist Germany 😂😂😂
Now you see one of the reasons why we are complaining about our stubborn, captious and inflexible bureaucracy all the time. We also have a German saying and even a movie "Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht" which means,"What doesn't fit is made to fit".
I like this show. In this case I liked that the guy had to laugh himself and wasn't trying to justify the mistake.
A little tip on pronunciation. Geländer is not pronounced Gelanda. The Ä in German is spelt with ae in American because they don't recognise Ä in the alphabet. The same goes for Ö (oe) and Ü (ue). 3:26 Yes, that's how I looked. The employee who is speaking is also more of an excuse. What are measuring tapes for? They were probably too lazy to measure.
Fachkräftemangel (shortage of skilled workers). It's becoming a problem everywhere in Germany. Especially in politics, but now in construction as well.
He did it btw with 4 stops to at magny cours. He won that race I believe 8 times also
Brutal satire ... even more brutal because true ...
You should watch more of 'extra 3: Realer Irrsinn'. After that you will see Germany with completely different eyes.😅
It is astonishing how many trades work on one project today. Every step is carried out by a different company and they rarely speak German. It's like the Tower of Babel on the construction site.
Check out how it looks today. Near Autohaus Noack in Neuzelle.☺
One of the more noticeable mispronunciations of German words by Americans happens with the letter Z, at least when at the beginning of a word. In Germany a Z at the beginning of a syllable is pronounced like the first sound in the word tsunami.
Moin to you from Nordfriesland, I do like the new camera setup. And the video, well I guess they had a sleeping mask on, while checking the plans… I love this series, I never laughed so hard when watching what they did wrong 😂🤪🤦🏽♀️
Cool, thanks
Messen bringt Wissen. measering brings knowledge.
Moin, Mace! The new camera thing is interesting. "Not bad". But I like it more like it was all the time before! 😉 Good, that those kind of people (constructors) didn`t built the Dome of Cologne!!! 🤣
Cool, thanks I’ll try it for a bit And try to get a consensus
I went by in my taxi to watch the remains of the fire building, located Heerdter Lohweg / Willstätter Str. There was not much left of it, except soot - covered rubble and twisted steel girders. By now the ruins left after the blaze have been demolished, and the place - about an estimated 4000 square meters - has been rebuilt. The cause of the fire as well as the catastrophic explosion are still unknown. Upon arrival of the firecrews, the whole structure was already fully involved, with the fire rageing out of control. There was no chance to knock it down instantly, moreover, an accumulation of flammable gases might have led to the flashover after about 20 minutes into the response.
"sleeper" is the word, you were looking for :D
Moin
They are pretty fast, too! Guy said, the machines and people are working 24/7 on the tracks ...
Come on this sucks when you didn't get the facts because of the missing translation ... When there are subtitles in a foreign language available the translation into English is really okay (not like the automatic generated subs just from foreign audio). And here is how this can be activated - I thank @Patschenkino for the explanation: ⛑ To enable English subtitles on a video that has German subtitles, follow these steps: 1. *Open the video* and click the *CC* (Closed Captions) button to activate the German subtitles. 2. Click the *gear icon* (Settings) in the video player. 3. Select *"Subtitles/CC"* and then choose *"Auto-translate."* 4. From the list of languages, select **English**. Now, the German subtitles will be automatically translated into English.
I love your empathy because that’s what I feel also. It’s so sad but it’s the only way to show to the people what happened I guess.
imagine you could fix problems in a row
They replace everything, the ground, the ballast, new cross sections plus new rails, did You see the train on the train that transports the cross sections
Plasser & Theurer Machine - Austrian engineering.
so ist es
That was just at the next crossing from my Work. Meanwhile they have built a new building at the same place.
"A friend of mine is a fanatic, a real fanatic. I mean he is a fan. Someone who enthuses about it. He definitely mentioned once he kinda liked that stuff. Anyways..." 😂
🤣🤣🤣
This is an advertisement video of DB (~ german railways) about the renewal of the train tracks to the newly build Fehmann Belt tunnel that will connect Denmark and Germany more directly, an EU project. The machinery and workflow is impressive. At the end of the ad it is mentioned that after this work the tracks to Neustadt (a small city) will get electrified. What it didn't mention, most of the connection between DK and DE won't be electrified. A person from the region pointed this out in the comments of the original video.
Ahem...that is wrong... 2 tracks and electrification are planned...I know the track, was born around the corner there and still live about 50km away...they are reconstructing about 90% of the main line, this is just the branch line to Neustadt, what will just be remade, in most parts.
Would like to see them meeting the Amish Btw, the Bag is called " Charlottenburger" or just Charlie Worked a lot with them 25Years ago
"auf der Waltz" "waltzing Mathilda" is the inoficial anthem of Australia, they should know it. 😜
I think you mean the Wuppertaler Schwebebahn at min 4:12. An old transport system where the train hangs on the track it is about 120 years old still working.
The picture at 2:13 is actually a famous picture from Dürer, an artist from Nuremberg (Nürnberg). In this case, someone added the wings, antlers and teeth.
To be honest, the machine is from an Austrian company, Plasser & Theurer. Have a look at a longer video in English, where they explain it better: ua-cam.com/video/7zsyMxRnQ68/v-deo.htmlsi=oOob5gkUSGGYueIs
❤👍🏻
Looks good, the new video setup. 👍🏻
⛑️ To enable English subtitles on a video that only has automatically generated German subtitles, follow these steps: 1. **Open the video** and click the **CC** (Closed Captions) button to activate the German subtitles. 2. Click the **gear icon** (Settings) in the video player. 3. Select **"Subtitles/CC"** and then choose **"Auto-translate."** 4. From the list of languages, select **English**. Now, the German subtitles will be automatically translated into English.
I like the new video setup!👍🏻
Sorry, little correction the subtitles are not generated on the original video, they are really good ones (I think from DB included). And for that reason by activating the automatically generated translation into English (like you so nicely explained), would have been really good. I made a comment for myself and used your explanation - I hope that is okay...
It means this whole machinery is replacing the rails about 250 meters per hour😊
6:55 why would normal traffic randomly stop for a police car with sirens? That would be very dangerous. The higher the difference between overtaking vehicles, the more probable and lethal a collision will be. Here we learn to behave obvious and as usual in traffic when an emergency vehicle approaches. If everyone would randomly stop at the side of the road, you get really dangerous situations. Ive seen this a lot in the USA. In general how people in the USA react to emergency vehicles is stunningly inefficient and dangerous
No one wants to crash. People look only at traffic that matters and go on.
Oh btw, do you know who was the winner of the 1940 Tour de France? Die 7. Panzerdivision 👀
I love the customs joke, and I´m gonna steal it! Ha!
Mucha naranja, luego llega España y los exprime a todos. Spremuta d'arancia

if you are interested in the general topic check out Feuer und Flamme it is a doku series about real firefighters very good and absolut not scripted
The three basic ranks in craftsman guilds were Lehrling/apprentice, Geselle/journeyman, and Meister/master in increasing rank. Only someone of the rank of Meister was allowed to teach crafts skills to apprentices and journeymen. To advance in the ranks you needed three years as an apprentice plus an examination by a master. A journeyman in olden times had to take his journey/Waltz for those additional three years and a day before they could even apply for the examination to become a master. During that time they needed to work fairly regularly in their craft. So at the end they had st least six years of tangible skill training on the job. With that system in place the rank of master was highly valued and respected. People _knew_ that anyone daring to misuse the title of master illegitimately would soon be chased out of town. The trust in those long-standing traditions that regulated quality of craftsman education probably led to many Germans even today still believing in this apprenticeship system. It also leads to a very high acceptance and respect shown to skilled craftsmen. Jobs in the craftsmen sector are definitely _not_ looked down on in Germany. Quite the contrary: a good craftsman can make quite a lot more money than even middle management. It just requires diligence and the will to often do dirty, strenuous work.
@2:20 The gentleman speaks about "Lehrlinge" = apprentices. @2:41ff re "nailtree" tradition: He particularly mentions the one in Vienna, Austria. This refers to the famous Viennese STOCK-IM-EISEN, only a couple of meters away from the STEPHANSDOM, in the very heart of Vienna. More information plus photo @en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_im_Eisen (in English, mind you!) BTW: To be on the road (as a journeyman) = auf der Walz sein (not to be confused with the dance Walzer (English: waltz))
