Hey guys so in this video I show you the solution to your 2015 Ford Mustang trunk release malfunction and or the “rear camera is unavailable” message on your dash when you shift into reverse. Hey is the 99 psi on oil pressure normal ?
No not at all, readings should be around 25-65psi
How much miles did it have around the rod knock?
Had around 149k miles

@@darrelldavila1877 yes, every 6k miles….there was one time where the dealer had put the wrong type of oil viscosity and caused the engine to run poorly. But other than that it was good after. All highway miles
The worse thing you can do is run a engine with a knock,, it will get worse and wreck everything.
What’s up you ever find out what the problem was?
It was rod knock, ended up replacing the whole engine, found out other issues, worn bearings, and etc,

Yes it is most likely to be the problem, check for pinches in the harness
@@mvmntgarageI changed the latch , changed the fuses, took it to ford for the recall issue still no luck , what should I do next
Try to insert a screw driver into the latch to see if it catches and locks
Do I just have to do the extension work after checking the worn wiring?
Sorry for the late reply you can also take it to your local dealer, they have a recall out for this and they can do it for free

Yes they are both related if you go to your trunk and undo the wires hanging from the trunk lid you will see what pinched your wires,

Headers gasket broke!? I have 86 corvette whit headers installed and one Time driver Side header gasket broke. Sound very very similiar.
There is a recall on this so you can get it repaired at no cost at a dealership

Yes we tried to get it in for the recall which was only given 2 months ago and they said they have no idea when the parts will be in 😭
@@michellechristian8028 yeah i have done this repair on a few and when the parts came in it was a few months wait time.

What color was the wire that opened the trunk release
I believe it was the solid purple wire or the purple wire with the blue strip
@@mvmntgarage thanks i fixed my camera but the trunk still doesnt open. I willl go back and fix the purple wires again

One other place you may want to check is the connector at the camera. I did the tedious task of taking all the electrical tape off the wires and doing a pull test to find no broken wires. I then did a pull test on the wires at the camera plug and found that one of the pins had de-pinned itself in the plug. Firmly pushed that wire back into the plug and heard a click. I sprayed the camera connection and plug with contact cleaner while I was in there and now the camera works better than ever. I used to have to wait for the camera to come up on the screen, now it's instant.
Thanks! I did notice that when I replaced the deck lid panel that the small connector wasn’t secured in place to well.

You have to go through the rear back seats and crawl to the trunk
That would suck on a convertible since the seats don’t fold down.
@@eddiefalcon8316 actually I think there is a manual release behind the rear driver side cushions, just lift it up and use your master key to open it. Let me know if that’s actually true!!
@@mvmntgarage OMG you are right. I noticed two sets of wires one electrical and one mechanical and i checked and it’s there on the driver side back seat cushion. If you want pics let me know.

@@ryanlopez4371 ended up buying an engine and tranny. Currently still waiting for it to come in, spent around $11k for it, going to be doing a tear down.
@@mvmntgarage dam...At least you get to build it the way you want its unfortunate these hemi 6.1 s break so commonly easy it seems like....fingers crossed on My 07 GC 64k miles

Unfortunately you have to climb through the back seat, it’s the only way.
Rod knock, it doesn't make the sound while cold because the oil is still with thicker viscosity, when it gets to operating temperature, the oil thins out causing like a miniature gap between the bearing and the rod itself making the knocking sound, yours doesn't sound that bad, i believe that if you just take the bottom end apart and slap on new bearings, it'll be fine.

Maybe Loose torque converter bolts ? I've had this happen to me on my 97 jeep after putting in a new trans but if you haven't done anything to the trans idk why one or some would come loose ? Could be a spun bearing as well, just throwing out some ideas 🤘 hope you get her fixed up. I love driving my srt8, red Rock pearl In color its just an amazing machine I would be panicking if mine did this

No not yet i still haven’t gotten a chance to take a look at it or take it to a shop..pretty sure it has something to do with the transmission because the engine is throwing no codes

@@mvmntgarage no worries bro. My Jeep had that happened on a causal day of driving around town. What caused it on mine was a failed oil pump. My engine had oil at the correct level, yet it wasn’t sending it to the engine, creating all sorts of internal damage. I took it to my brothers shop and he told me the engine is fixable, just with new internals (pistons , connecting rods, etc) but I went ahead and got a new one to be safe. These trucks always have oil issues or overheating issues
