You really seem to repeat what you have heard, but have not done much of a personal research. How on earth electing Judges by the people, which literally means democracy, will be go in line with an authoritarian regime??? The corrupted judicial system is filled with nepotism and old judges that stay forever in their charges, releasing criminals trough bribery and corruption, having historical ties to the mafias, and having one of the worst judge system in Latin America! On the other hand, that same judiciary system was build precisely to maintain that one party system that ruled Mexico for more than 6 decades! What this new government is trying to avoid is precisely that the Judiciary system becomes really independent and not just puppets that were commanded by the president, like it happened in the past. Do you think 70% of Mexicans don´t understand what is happening in Mexico? Everybody, beside those damaged by the lost of corruption and privileges (a powerful elite), know that Mexico can only grow out of its failed state trajectory, with a government that restores the hurting inequality that prevailed for many, many years!! What you fail to realize is that the new current presidenta & her government are for the people as was AMLO. If you’re not aware up until this flip in 2018 Mexico was “for sale”. Well not any longer.
