One thing I don't think you touched on was their ability to protect your hearing during indoor shooting or even outdoor where you have an aluminum roof while under cover.

So I’m having a issue and I hope someone can help me every time I mount the scope on my rifle and try torquing it to the recommended 45 pounds the screws strip and I don’t know what else to do because I’m doing everything according to the manufacturer specifications

Everyone is always shading PAs durability but unless you've tested multiple individual units to failure NO ONE can honestly make that assertion. You can make predictions based on various factors but no one can truthfully make any factual assessments of PAs durability or any other manufacturer. Fact is, PAs optics just might be THE MOST durable optics made. Making that claim has just as much merit as someone claiming they're "maybe not combat durable" etc etc. Btw, our diddy Garandthumb did a comprehensive test on PAs 1-6x ACSS LPVO optic and surprised alot of people. Turns out it was just as tough as optics costing 3 and 4 times as much. I own 3 PA optics, both the platinum class FFP and the silver class SFP 1-8x ACSS optics and the silver class FFP 4-14x ACSS R-grid and love them all. Ive beaten the shhh out of that SLx 1-8x scope. Ive broken 14 lens caps off of it, busted 5 plastic and 1 aluminum throw levers off of it, given it a few good gouges and a deep dent and it has never skipped a beat. Its taken multiple falls from shoulder height onto concrete, asphalt and hard pack dirt with nary a snivel. In fact, it has taken more abuse than any optic ive ever owned and it has never, ever let me down. Ive owned it for almost 9 years now and I'm gonna go ahead and give it my seal of approval for what that's worth. Is it combat ready? In my experience.......YES! I would not hesitate to take that $400 SFP LPVO into combat as my primary sight. Always with BUIS's mounted of course. I would absolutely trust my life to that scope. Is it as tough as an Trijicon ACOG or VCOG, Elcan, Leupold MK-4 or other battle tested optics? Id say its as tough as any other LPVO of similar weight and size. Is that tough enough? Well, NO optic is going to survive every possible combat scenario but it's tough enough that as I said, I wouldn't hesitate taking it into battle as my primary optic. Thats my opinion based on 5 decades of real world experience. Your opinion may vary. My point in writing this comment is just to reassure anyone that's interested in PA optics that despite the assertions of the various reviewers that PA optics "may not be as durable as....yada yada yada" that YES! Virginia, PA optics ARE as tough as any other similar optic regardless of price. So for you fence sitters, just BUY IT! They're damn good optics and the various ACSS reticles are not just superb, they are THE BEST the industry has to offer. STILL! Many years later no one has managed to improve on them imo. So there's that....

Great video and I thank you. But… Is the current synthetic gel fully equal to the FBI standard for penetration and expansion and wound cavity?. In the past it was not and in the test videos I see it seems not and seems to show excessive penetration over FBI. Something I would prefer to avoid. Has anyone actually TESTED this side by side? Nor do I care much about penetration and would prefer 12” over 18” since any such shooting I would do in real life would likely be with innocents around. But for someone who does not want to do repeated UA-cam tests the synthetic and its containers are too much money. Cheap plastic containers and pots from the thrift store to me is a better idea. Right now I can chill the stuff in my garage.

I just started appendix carry a few weeks ago. Got myself the alien gear 4 in 1 holster. It really needs time to get use to but I find it more comfortable then the 4 O'clock carry that I used for nearly 10 years. Only thing is, that I didn't find a way to blur the handle bump. Maybe a counselling wing will do the job....?

The machining on these is so sad. For that price you think you wouldn’t see the milling marks, the not straight lines, the janky curves.

I just hope that the 6mm ARC coming out first doesn't hamper the success of this cartridge. I am super excited to build a 6mm Max gun.

I have been big on Trijicon. That being said, i recently purchased a Holoson 507 X2 ACSS

People complaining about price I just picked the belt up on sale for $70 and my local store and gotta say it feels worth it...plenty of pants out in the world that costs $70 and they already have holes in them 😁

Trijicon refuses to put “shake away” on their SRO. With the 507 you don’t need to remove the sight in order to swap out the battery, big plus They need to get with the times 507 comp comes in green

I put a 507comp on my prodigy. It lasted a month. Now I am waiting for a warranty. I am 9 days in. Tracking showed it delivered on day 7. Holosun says they will confirm they got it with an email. When you get the confirmation email they say 20 to 30 days to process. If you add another week to ship it back to me it could be 6 or more weeks. Im 9 days in waiting for them to just confirm they got it. A $400 optic and they wont just send a new one. They will try to fix it first. I have 8 Holosun red dots. If i wait 6 weeks for a warranty claim I wont be buying another Holosun. If they fix it and send it back and it fails again Ill smash it with a hammer and send it back with a dog turd in the box.

I had an SRO for one of my staccato's and i ended up swapping it out for the Holosun. I get looked at crazy by my friends for it, but the Holosun feels more durable and i'm more confident with it using it for concealed carry over the SRO.

I may have missed it, but did/does the Holosun fit in the SafariLand holster without having to use your redneck gunsmith tool?

Like in any industry some companies live off of their name. Eotech, Surefire, Aimpoint, and Trijicon. They no longer innovate they are the cool name to have and can live off of it. My opinion they have been surpassed in quality and features on some of their products. They are still quality products but in my opinion have been surpassed in many areas. For instance - the RMR. Figure out how not to have a bottom loaded battery. I would never buy an RMR for that reason alone. Then add in price, and featureless design. Holosun has attacked the market with affordable, durable, feature rich optics for the past several years.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; This is what the Military should adopt to replace 5.56! Only a simple barrel swap and different magazines, compared to every other intermediate cartridge that requires you to switch out the Bolt and so on!

I’m an old guy and remember when every manufacturer made aluminum frame guns. Everyone wanted lighter polymer frames so the manufacturers did it. Now we’re buying polymer high capacity small lightweight concealed carry guns and spending another grand turning them into heavy large competition handguns like a Smith 6909 or Ruger P 89. I don’t get it. Just my opinion there’s a plethora of older guns similar in weight with much better triggers.

Holosun needs to do a 6moa only 507 comp. I make do with the 2+8 moa for now but its slightly ghetto. Thankfully they do a 6moa EPS/EPS carry... basically THE choice for CCW. So why not the optic literally sold with "comp" in the name? "Comp"etition shooters nearly universally prefer a 5-6moa dot.

Appendix carrier is so gay, find it kind of weird that that's the way every single UA-camr pushes concealed carry. 4 and 5 o'clock on the way to go

I rotate mine by occasionally firing the defensive rounds at the range to ensure I practice with them and know how the rounds work with my EDC

Comp needs a version with dot only. Don't want or need any of these bizarre circle reticles. I guess the Ronin version can have dot only. But I wouldn't buy anything with that kooks name on it.
