Yes pretty much. The mode selection settings are connected to the exhaust valve. There is an exhaust button but it doesn't do much when the car is in comfort/efficient.

Midpipe only. Also, the car idles a bit higher every 3mins or so if you leave it standstill and on, park or in gear.

I'd say stiff but comfortable. My wife and I don't mind the ride quality, as I've had plenty of lowered cars in the past that were stiffer. 2 years on and haven't felt the need to go to a softer setup (MSS)

I think it depends.. for Australia (where I live) and USA we don't have opf filter on my 2021 so when I did mine there was no engine check light. For European versions you might need an adapter to stop the engine light if you install a midpipe

Hmm.. that's not quite right but I know what you mean. This setting does change the ASD & at the same time, it does alter the exhaust valves.. not permanently which is what you mean. Look at it like an additional setting. In my previous m135i, it kept the valves open until 3000 rpm before slightly closing the valves after that to redline. I found this a better option to pulling the valves when in sports plus mode. Also bimmer link can keep the valves open but you need to keep the obd plugged in. You can turn off the ASD completely with bimmercode
