    I've never been without a motorcycle, because I've never sold my first one which I now have almost 30 years. I did buy other bikes and sold them. I have had times when I didn't ride due to numerous reasons. Right now I'm in the process of bringing this first bike (or more accurate motor scooter) back on the road. Already bought the parts to bring the engine back to life. :)

      @@thesussexrider Thanks. True, I sold my Zündapp moped and a Bella scooter, which I really regret. But you can't keep everything, at the time they stood in my parents' garage and they needed the space also. At least I kept this Vespa, I will post a small video when it's running.

    Having just caught up with this glamster review i was wondering how you got on putting speakers in the recess in the helmet. Having tried one on recently there didn't seem much room. Cheers

    • @thesussexrider
      @thesussexrider 7 місяців тому

      Good question! All I can say is that I wear glasses and ear plugs when riding and both are not an issue with this helmet. Inside there are resesses either side so I think there would be room for speakers. Additionally, I belive that you can get different sized linings - speak with Motolegends or Urban rider to check that.

    I have the same jacket and use it occasionally for rides. My biggest worry though is the very light/small armour and the lack of evidence that the fabric will endure a crash.

    • @thesussexrider
      @thesussexrider 8 місяців тому

      I had a quick look at the Motolegends website and they list it as AA armour. To be fair it's something I didn't consider - I just bought it on the looks! My biggest "moan" is that it doesn't breathe and is just too hot for me when it's sunny and above 25 or 26c. Luckily living in the UK this isn't a major problem! Cheers

    How does the power supply work? Im interested to buy the gloves but how do they get the power? Where do the cables lead to?

    • @thesussexrider
      @thesussexrider 8 місяців тому

      Macna offer different styles and battery options. Because I had the jacket I bought the gloves which attach to the jacket and then the battery is in my pocket. I like this because when I'm off the bike and walking around (like at a freezing cold Christmas market) then I can unplug the gloves and just plug in the jacket to keep my core warm. The alternative is to attach the cables direct to the battery in the motorcycle (very easy job) and then plug in the jacket. The gloves then connect to the jacket. If you want the gloves only then I would go for the Macna ones that hold the small batteries on the back of the gloves. Otherwise you have to feed the cable from the battery up through your jacket and down your sleeves. My son did this for two winter seasons with a pair of Richi heated gloves and he was OK with it. Not sure where you are based but the guys at Motolegends near Guildford are really helpful if you need advice. Cheers

    It's a pretty bike, not very practical but I could see where someone may enjoy washing and polishing all the chrome then standing back & admiring the shinny thing. For the money, I'd go with the Moto Guzzi V7 though. You'd get two cylinders a truly air cooled engine more horsepower and torque, 4 piston front caliper 2 piston rear (vs the bsa 2/1 setup, a 21 liter fuel tank (vs 12) for day long range, shaft final drive, 6 speed transmission, a comfortable molded seat, tubeless tires - a true mile muncher when a windscreen and a tail bag are added + a blast to push in mountains. Hand built in Mandela Delario along beautiful Lake Como in Italy where you are cordially invited to visit annually.

Which is why I can see a Gold Star in my future. I already love the engine (I had an F650 BMW a while back) & it would be perfect for the ride up the hill to the office, which would leave the Guzzi for weekend blasts through the hills. Win/win!
