This was a very satisfying scene to watch. Michael may have been a rotten human being. But after all the crap Sydney had put Michael through that year from breaking up him and Kimberly by seducing him and then blackmailing him into marrying her this was truly satisfying to see him throw her out on her ass. I eventually grew to like Syd in subsequent seasons but absolutely positively hated her in season 2.

Amanda's arrogance turned off the judge. Lucky for her her mother heard the truth.

If this was season 2-4 Syd she would have tore strips off Taylor and come out on top. They turned Syd into a bore in season 5 along with the show.

FUN FACT: From seasons 1-5 there were four main places of employment on Melrose Place: 1) D&D Advertising, 2) Shooters, 3) The medical field which included Wilshire Memorial and later the Burns-Mancini Medical practice, 4) the fashion field which was Jane's design shop along with Hart Mancini in season 4 and Jane's boutique in season 5. With the exception of Rhonda, every cast member on Melrose Place during this time worked in at least one of these places. Some like Allison and Matt worked at two. Syd is the only one who worked at all four.

I always liked Taylor. She was really able to stick it to Amanda.
