Re-Soldering the Case Vac Radiator Together
It will be interesting to see how the paint ages. Putting hardiner in the paint should make it last longer I am thinking. Much more professional than a rattle can or rustoleom like Tremclad. Save now and pay later vs pay now and enjoy forever.
Nice job on the fenders. Looks very good.
everything has a green tint hehe...... your blood running jd green yet?
@georgesjunk I've had a few lungs full, and it didn't go over too well, so I think it's best where it belongs😅
Nice posting
Love them 830s
@@andrewcoulter7675 I could sit on the seat and listen to it all day!
those front tires are special
Junk less that 20 tanks the caber rings broke then messed up my pop up piston and cylinder, after I dawged in with my felling spike to my 044, it lost compression and died. I would stick to oem no matter what.!
My 660 I put this combo in is still running strong with 210 psi of compression. Maybe it's a hit and miss but I haven't had any issues from it.
all those lines hanging underneath..... it's probably fine but just think of snagging something..... although all open and easy to run a new one
Sounds great! 👊
Could be worse😊
That's right! The tractor didn't care and is still running along
Can you tell that the steering is a lot better after your rebuild?
@happyjohn8256 The main reason for the rebuild was due to the key sitting loose in the worn-out keyway slot. In this video short, I didn't prime the power steering, so I didn't have any power steering, so it was much harder to steer. After the rebuild, I can keep a straight line now
I like John Dreere tractors
After the work I've been doing to it, it's becoming a sedimental favorite😆
I have the older hyway jug and the pop up piston with caber rings on my 660. Im getting the titanickel kit and going to do some small port work to it. 1 thing i have found that helped alot on mine was getting a velocity stack. Copper exhaust cooling fins off of ebay and bumping up to the bigger i think .64 carb jet. Mine has a healthy scream now and pull. Run good FD rated oil (royal purple hp2) at around 40 to1. And good premium 93 gas ir better. Be good to go.
Thanks for the info. I definitely don't mind giving this thing more guts. It's got 220psi of compression, so I might aswell use every last bit, so getting bigger jet is a good idea. I want the saw to still look somewhat stock so I probably won't be putting a velocity stack on her. One thing I've heard is that it is very hard to port the titanickel plating as it chips very easily, so I've stayed away from that on this one.
I just picked up a Super Comango AV. It has the craziest antivibe setup I've ever seen, but it's satisfyingly mechanical-looking with all the pivots and bushings. Unfortunately i don't think I'll ever know how it works, because the piston looks badly scored through the exhaust port. I don't imagine it'll be easy to find a cheap top end for this old saw.
Nice find! That is worth a lot more with the antivibe, and very rare. Keep an eye on ebay, lots of older saw parts circulate on there. Thanks for the comment
Yeah I've only seen one other Super Comango antivibe online in an my time researching. Must not have made very many. I got this in a lot of six saws I bought, and I've already fixed a Homelite Super EZ and Super 2. But the main saw I wanted was this Super Comango. We'll see. In the past I've fixed up some real junkers that most people wouldn't waste time on, so it might run yet. Seeing your vid is good motivation. Your saw sounds great 👍
Nice 👍
Glad to see some more fun Deere stuff! Your videos are nice and it looks like you're doing a good job on your 830! Makes me want to get somewhere with my 80 again!
@weirddeere Thanks alot!!
I bet you make your mom proud and your dad wanting to take it fir a spin. I could see him having a desirous eye raptor try it out!
@happyjohn8256 O yeah! Mom's filed in her ticket number for a round
Top speed bro Trackter hp----?
@SumonMondal-e8l Top speed is only 20km/hr, and for the Americans, 12.3mph. Hp is 75 form factory, although some have gotten up to 100hp by adjusting the fuel pressure to the rails

I see you are wearing Klompen wooden shoes. I have a couple of pairs myself. Do you speak Dutch also? Dutch is my first language. English is my second, and Spanish is my third language.
Nee, English is my first. I know a few phrases, but I know more French than Dutch.
Nice job!
Thanks! It is pretty exciting after doing a lot of work to it
opposite of my clutches problem.......
Have you had the time to make that video of rebuilding the clutch? Would love to see it! Getting ready to rebuild mine for the first time.
@braedentesterman5369 Sure thing! that'll be the next video. I'll work on getting the edits done this week
@@theoccasionalfarmboy Awesome, looking forward to it!
Pony motor: change the oil to half diesel fuel and half oil and change the oil filter. Run for 30 minutes . Change out the oil to half marvel mystery oil and half oil and change the oil filter. Run for 30 minutes. Then change the filter and the oil to regular oil. The rings of the pony motor might free up, and not burning oil. Nice tractor and good luck!!
Thanks for the tip! It was running better when I started it up again after I got it home and seemed to run much cleaner. I've been doing an overhaul on the machine for the last year that I've been documenting and am currently getting it all painted up, so I should have a first start video coming in a few months. Will have to see if it does ol'smokey again
It ran a lot sweeter after you had it than before!
First tractor I remember was aVAC 65 years ago
No bench?
Wrong its sachs dolmar its german
Ya, I messed that up. Had to rewatch to realize I said Swedish 🫣
Where did u get the led lights?
Came with the unit when it was bought. It has been since sold, and the owner put on much brighter LEDs. You local farm supply/ dealer should have what you need. Just keep an eye on lumens rating and colour of light
Skid steer sure made that job easier. BTW I like your work boots!
Sure does! It needs an overhaul itself, but just limping it along until I finish this project up. I love my wooden safety shoes too!
Right on - it's vacation is coming to an end!
Time crunch is on and real for the end of the year 😆
Getting excited!
Me too
My favorite saws hands down love the smell of a big saw running and cutting trees and downed wood life is goooood poeple
Cheers to that! Really fine engineering there
think there was a husqvarna 394 there too no?
Seems actually pretty decent. Could buy probably 4 of these before you break even to a brand new 661c
@happyjohn8256 it's a good point. However, users are reporting generally pretty decent results. I won't be surprised it will become more and more commonplace as end users feel that historically trusted companies increasingly don't have their consumers backs. For example, loblaws, apple etc. In the chainsaw world, the mainstays of Stihl and Husqvarna are increasingly being left aside for 3rd best Echo and then Chinese. Personally, I rather buy once cry once, but can totally understand the balance of cost vs longevity. And as an aside the whole idea of Chinese is junk is no longer true. There are some really good work done in China and tons upon tons of unnecessary garbage. I'd rather not support them but that's very hard when everything comes from there..... even if it doesn't say China something likely was used from there. I don't want to support russia either but found out my tires were made in Russia by a supposedly Finish tire brand. Anyways, comments support the occasional farm boy!
What is the liquid
It's all calcium to prevent any freezing of the water
@@theoccasionalfarmboy I didn't even know you filled tires with water.
Dang! You didn’t get hit did you? I’ve seen fingers broken from 2 piece rims coming apart.
Thankfully not! The Tire ended up being patched with silicone before I purchased it, and I guess that's where I decided to blow.
At first I thought you were wearing crocs until I got a closer look, love the clogs! Keep up the good work, love the channel!
I love my wooden safety shoes 😆
I’m in the middle of my dads 720 and was curious about the play in the first reduction gear. I see yours is the same way. have you come across any specs for it?
I haven't seen any specs about the play. On the forums, they said to just crank the end castle nut up hard and should be good. That's what I ended up doing. Otherwise, it'd have to be brought to a machine shop built up and the teeth re- ground. There are not a lot of options, really.
Hope you're having fun while at it. Can be a daunting task, but getting through it wasn't so bad.
Great job with the weld
Thanks! I must say it was a surprise as to how well it went and turned out!
Jumped pretty high in those clumpen lol
Almost turned into a deere myself🤣
Very nice! I have had to weld repairs on a few rims myself. love it!
What did you think of my cheater jb weld paste. Is there a better way or no alternative unless I'm better at welding/ fabricating
@@theoccasionalfarmboy I have used lead as a filler as well as brazing. When I made my centrifuge heater tank for recycling veggie oil I used epoxy to fill my weld holes. If it works it works!
I’m currently looking to buy a machine like this

Building a 90 by 30 shed, and with the tree there it'd be right in the middle of the drive. Same with that 100' tree.
