There’s a different video that is from the ship behind it, and it is said the ship was breaking up underwater so it is likely shattered.

Look up Sinking ship, VLOC Stellar Banner scuttled HD on UA-cam. Lots of wind noise in the audio, but you clearly hear the ship as she goes down.

What was the purpose of scuttling it and how did they do it without risking any crew?

@@Roddy556crew were evacuated prior to scuttling. They saw that the damage was too extensive to salvage, so they scuttled it.

@wyattjessup9108 okay that doesn't really clarify anything for me. If the crew were evacuated how did they scuttle the ship?

@@Roddy556 they most likely either dragged it out to see and shot it, or had a diver put a scuttling charge on it

That's a bulk carrier, you're seeing the hatch covers blowing off each hold, and the contents being ejected by inrushing water.

My guess is that its rust she carried iron ore.

She was loaded with 350,000 tonnes of iron ore

Actually it may sound impossible but it happens, so the first alarm that we got is "ME air cooler low pressure" then we checked right away what could have been the reason because with this alarm will trigger the ME slowdown as well and other alarm will follow, LT pump low pressure then it auto changeover to standby LT pump. We suspect that there is a Air in the LT system.

So in the engine room, machinery that has LT water and Air one of that is Main Air compressor. The main air compressor at first we think that it might be the tubes on its cooler but it was a gasket broken in the 2nd stage cooler.2nd stage is a high pressure already between 20bar to 30 bar. Then air pushes LT water up to expansion tank to the point that it comes out from LT expansion tank vent including all the water on tank also triggered the alarm. Since LT expansion tank is located on the upper platform above the GEnerator area...thus showering the generators with water.

How can you infer that without seeing what sank that ship? Bow thrusters are only any use when you are manoeuvring at speeds of less than about 3 knots. This looks like a collision at higher speeds than that.

@@jimlepeu577 bow thrusters are everywhere, if you find their nests you need to report it to the appropriate authorities so they can destroy and dispose of them without causing any unnecessary damage!

@@1940limited boys for cheap pay used to hook onto a fish and use its power to guide the vessel and manoeuvre it into place, or maybe just learn how to turn a rudder and forward and reverse, let alone how to tie a rope!
