Im Kaos and this is Lenny the fox terrier. we're on a mission looking for interesting places and cool stuff around the country whilst splitting our time in our self build camper van and our off grid static. (No gas, no water, no electricity, not even solar) in our 2 acre field in the middle of nowhere. The good, the bad and the ugly we live it all.

The weirdest Birch polypore or bracket that I've ever seen., A very distinctive colour and shape its found exclusively on dead Birch wood.

A smashing looking little fungus that grows on dead wood. If you're not looking for it you'd miss it. grows in clumps and is widespread in Europe it can be eaten, although you'd need to pick an awful lot. Suffers from deliquescence so get yer skates on and get in the frying pan on the double!

Common as you like but this devil has decided to take up residence half way up my oak tree. I'm not best pleased, as I'm having to stand on the roof of my camper. The roof is fibreglass so I'm being carful to stand on the aluminium joists! What I do for my art!!!!

Attractive looking fungi but sadly its inedible. one of those types you find growing on a pile of poo from a herbivore, in this case a horse. Easily identified by its shape, colour and habitat you should be able to identify this one with ease

A fiery mountain of a mushroom. Many experts will tell you it's too hot to eat, but hold my vodka, the Eastern Europeans use this stinger of a fungi to flavour some of their culinary delights! Maybe ill give it a miss.... or should I try it?

Important amendment. Thenk you @nickedom for pointing out that this bolete isn’t poisonous, i got over excited seeing it. Should have just double checked the info before blabbering off in my short anyway….This is the first time I've ever seen one of these, they are in the grand scheme of things one of our more rare fungi. Happy boy

One of Europes most distinguishable mushrooms. Tastes good too. On the southern part of the South Downs they’re known as ink horns. A colloquialism from my part of the world.
Fungus hunt Massive mushroom!- Shaggy parasol

They don't come much bigger. This whopper is easily recognised by its size and shape, the parasol and its twin the Shaggy parasol are pretty much the same in all aspects. Cook it like a cultivated mushroom or stick it in a saucepan with butter, finely chopped onions and a touch of salt. I'm salivating just thinking about it!

For the eagle eyed amongst you will notice that the mushroom has been cut at the stem not pulled. This is because pulling it you lose the mushroom. Cut it and it’ll grow again. More edibles hoorah! Sadly disappointed to find a field mushroom. its edible and it tastes good, so why disappointed? because I thought it was a poisonous fungi......

Lucky to have spotted this one. A tiny Bracket fungus on its host tree. Not edible but a pretty looking one all the same.

Another very common fungi, the blackening Waxcap. Found all over the UK & Europe you'll find it in your garden, woodland clearings, graveyards, close cropped grass by the side of the road, just about anywhere. Not really edible due to its bitter taste, just admire it and be on your way

You can have wrong voltage all kinds of reasons when your pump isn’t clicking ie working
I have the same one, when you turn it off you press the teeth button for a few seconds and it has another submenu, could I make a video of those parameters? They are identified as E1
I have the battery heater error code of E-01, which was new in September 2023 and run for about 50 hours only. Having tested the battery, all is well and fully charged. However the fan works, goes through some sort of cycle but no lobger ticks at the pump only to arrive at E-01 code. My controller will not allow me to access the secret part of the panel. Could you help?

Make your own split charger with a 30amp relay and spare domestic 240 volt 13 amp cable. Remember you are only charging the leisure battery not cranking the engine with it. Mine has lasted over 4 years now.

I've got a new diesel heater and it's died after 2 days. I was running it this morning on medium and it just stopped. It tries to start now but the pump will not engage. Is there a combustion system that needs to be engaged in order for the pump to receive power?
Hi there I have been building my van over 12 months and have my heater installed I put a new line in and filled my tank switched on. It made a sound then I pressed the buttons to prime the pump but got an error code E7 and H on flashes, but nothing happens, and I can go no further any ideas.
There is a negative post made of brass sticking out of the inner wing beside the air filter intake, just easier so you don’t have to search for a nut and bolt to connect to
i have a adjustable power supply, i upped the voltage to almost 14 volts. glo plug now much hotter. no more error codes, or soot.

I keep getting a e-10 error I can’t figure it out I’ve replaced the glow plug cuz I took it apart and noticed the tip of the plug was cracked and broke, I also replaced the mesh that goes around the glow plug. The burn chamber is clean as a whistle. I only run diesel through this, the fuel line total from tank to unit maybe 2 and half foot. Another issue I’m having is priming I have the red controller I ain’t been able to find others like mine but when I try to push ok and up or on and up or down I get nothing but it seems to be priming on the initial start up and there is fuel all through the line. Any ideas advise and help would be so appreciated thanks again.

Don't know weather you can help I start up heater starts normal then fan speeds up full then error 6 and stops have checked fan it's running free
You’ll know if the fan is stuck as you’d hear it scraping. So error 0-6 can also be wiring particularly in new fans. If it is new then I’d suggest you contact the supplier as this may be on the main wiring loom. If it’s an older model then pull out the wiring loom connector from the unit and give the connections a good clean and reseat it. Very important to make sure the loom isn’t twisted or kinked as the wires are of a particularly cheap installation and they are know to break if bent. Let me know how you get on

Always stay with A class batteries and match the capacity Ah Especially in Non sunny countries UK etc.. And another issue is if you have smart alternator a split charge relay is not suitable for auxiliary battery charging because of the voltage dips and spikes that results from smart alternators, So the leisure battery will not be charged efficiently. Battery isolators turn on at 13.2V and turn off at 12.7V so as your alternator changes voltage it will turn your battery charger on and off without fully charging your second battery. And Lithium Batteries OMG another mind field story💰💸 Thanks for sharing.

That is very odd. Do you have an lcd display? I’m guessing it’s a low voltage error as it may not be able to power up the display. If that’s true your battery is unbelievably low which tbh I find hard to believe.

I used your advice when first getting error 08 several times...thank you 🙏 but then that didn't work another time so I replaced the fuel line from the green one that comes with the kit to a white one, unsure of material but it's less flexy so fuel pumps through better. Can buy online cheap. Never had error 08 since
Thank you for the feed back. It’s such an imprecise science diesel heaters. I’ve mention on several videos about poor quality fuel lines. They split easily and even the tiniest of holes will cause a fuel blockage. Thanks again Pk
e01 9v means?
9v shouldn't come into it. the unit needs 12.3v minimum to operate. You need to increase the operating voltage. hope this helps

I had e2, and reading thru ur comments I tried disconnecting both fuses and reconnecting, it started back up now, when I only did it with one fuse it still coded, I forgot there was two of them

I've had an e 07 error for months that I just can't be bothered to try and sort or get someone to sort as it means ripping everything out of my van as they've put it in a very stupid place basically when I turn the diesel heater on it comes on as normal but after about 10 minutes I get an error 07 code come up then it turns its self off does the run down procedure for a few minutes then when It turns off I just hold the on button and it fires back up and comes back on again comes on fine heats up hot , but again runs for about 10 minutes then E07 and turns off it's annoying because we have to keep turning it back on every 10 minutes , but it's not broken in a way thats stopping it working fully it just does what I've explained , it's annoying and I want to get it sorted but I bet If I take it somewhere it will cost me an arm and a leg to get it sorted I've been putting it off but I'm not sure wether to get it sorted , I'm not really sure what places deal with this kind of stuff apart from specialist camper van companies and they aren't cheap :(
That actually sounds like an e-08 error cade. Does the outer shell get almost too hot to touch? An oddity that it runs, switches off then resets on an e-07
@@PKandL yeah deffinately an error 07 code , could send you a video of it happening if you could send videos on here but you can't annoyingly yeah runs for 10 mins the E07 then it does the shut down then couple mins later it legs me turn it on for 10 mins and just keep repeating the process , can't feel the actual heater as it's boxed in
Hi there, which is the best battery to connect to, leisure or motor
I connect to the leisure battery. I also have split charger which can charge the drive battery if it gets too low as it reverses the charge from the leisures. Danger of connecting to starter battery is that too much draw and there wont be enough to start the van.Hope that helps

Check the battery voltage whilst under load. The draw from the battery may also be too high for the wiring! I know it sounds a bit daft but the quality of the wiring isnt the greatest. Let me know how you got on
hi i had a code that no one knows of on my heater u003, turns out its a fault on the wireing loom
Wiring loom issues are unbelivebly common, mainly down to poor quality componants sadly
E-8 error code. Any ideas?
Can be a number of things. Poor earth on Battery, unsuccessful start is too high a temperature on the shell, this maybe the glow plug earthing through the inner casing. OR... IF YOU HAVE WHITE SMOKE the filter behind the glow plug needs cleaning. Let me know how you get on

@@PKandL in "my" area many mushrooms seem to have kept their heads down till 3 to 6 weeks "late" compared to last year. This week though the churchyards are white yellow red green peach with waxcaps. Hope you find a jaw-dropping lot in your area. I'm sure they know what they're doing 😂

That’s a very good question. It’s a 12v compressor and not a dual 240v so I’d say no.

All of my books say that the the parasitic bolete is edible, whereas the thing that it grows on is not. Apparently the harmful substances do not get carried over?
You’re are absolutely right. I found it in woodland by chance and got over excited! 😁 I somewhere got the idea they would give you let’s say digestive issues! I’m blaming old age but I filmed it on my phone and got carried away. All add an addendum to the notes section. Thanks for pointing it out.
