The video is actually the Audio Book Prologue for the Novel, "Set In Dreams". This novel, available on Amazon.com, is being produced into an audio book. We are hoping for as much feedback as possible. We have a lot of production still to go. It looks like the audio book will be an epic. At about 300 pages of reading, the audio book will be about 12 hours long. Perfect for a road trip!

awesome set up bro! see ya on the track Robb
Your feet must heat on this black foam in summer
The EVA actually does not get hot and is cooler than the white decking. Go figure.
hahahaha
Einstein's General Theory of Relativity :D
The truth is one of perspective. How many rotations does the earth make in one year? This is a trick question. 365-1/4 right? What about the rotation of the earths orbit around the sun? If both sprockets rotate then their relative movement is fixed and only rotational. If 1 sprocket is fixed and the other sprocket rotates around it, there are both rotation and an orbit or 2d movement. An outsider fixed perspective equates the combination of rotation and orbit as being 2 rotations.
"If both sprockets rotate then their relative movement is fixed and only rotational." Isn't it possible for one sprocket to be fixed in place but rotating, and the other to be not fixed in place but simultaneously revolving round the first sprocket while rotating?
If the fixed sprocket rotates while the outer sprocket rotates while also completing an orbit around the fixed sprocket, then the rotating sprocket although rotating only once in relationship to the fixed sprocket, an outside viewer would with external frame of reference would infer that the outer sprocket rotated multiple times in 1 orbit. @@chrisg3030
@@robbhawks2568 I experimented with real sprockets. It's quite tricky to get the "planet" sprocket to a) revolve round - and b) rotate or be rotated by - the "sun" sprocket at the same time. What was easy however was keeping them each nailed through the center to the spot and rotating one against the other in opposing clock directions. Under those circumstances the arrow heads on each came together again when each had rotated once only. And when viewed from an external reference frame, such as the table, it was the same. The arrow on each returned to pointing to the same spot on the table as it had at the start - but only then, not before. So again only one rotation. Hope that makes sense.
Great explanation :D
When both coins are rotating, whether in the same or opposite clock directions, then the revolving or outer coin will rotate just once per revolution, one rotation defined as the green line returning to point in the same direction. (But please check if you can, I'm not 100% sure.) If so, then although you say no to both sprockets rotating, that's effectively the situation you create when you place a rotating camera on the red sprocket. The red sprocket itself might be stationary, but it's as if you've created a kind of rotating circular platform within it.
great video, what is the name of the exact product name maid by Piedmont. Considering using that to make a floor. Thanks
This product is a composite signboard. Piedmont is one of the manufacturers. Contact your local outdoor printed sign company. They can hook you up.
Excellent Presentation! Thanks Robb.
Do you still like the Eva foam? West Coast Marine has it, but cost more than what Amazon sells.
EVA foam is great. BUT, on my boat, the pvc core and aluminum board used for the build can get hot in the sun here is Florida. I love how it is cool on my feet. But, the adhesive that came on my EVA, tends to get soft in the extreme heat. Have not tried this on fiberglass or wood. If you are going to use it on wood, make sure that you have high gloss oilbase enamel on the wood. This will seal the wood and give the slick surface that the adhesive likes to stick to.
I have the same issue. Adhesive sticks to the aluminum great but the foam is lifting away from the adhesive. I will try the heat gun and see if it’s a semi permanent solution. If it lifts again I’ll get another adhesive and spot treat the lifting areas.
I wsnt to know the exact money for a build like this with evrything fish finders motors trollin batteries al the work etc how much is the budget
Everything was new: Boat, trailer, registrations, electric, trolling motors, rivets, switches, breakers, everything: about $9,000.
Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Amen
Looks great!
Thanks. Still looks pretty good two years later. Gotta keep it clean and covered. Long hot sunny days months on end is tough on the adhesive.
but what are you doing. Don't follow this tutorial
How long have you had it on your boat now?
Two years. Love the product. Hate how it doesn't like to stick. The 3M adhesive sticks great to the aluminum. But the EVA comes loose from the adhesive.
@@robbhawks2568 so do you just hit it with the heat gun every time or did you pull it
Where can we get this
I made this for myself from Kydex. Wish I had the ability to produce them for sale.
Welcome to the photographic world of perspective. Sorry if you felt this was deceptive. The hull on the left is a photo that is shot directly downward from by manufacture. The photo on the right is one I took standing in the bed of my pickup shooting downward from an angle. The angle causes the finished boat to look wider. Then, on top of this, the original art was stretched by youtube to fit the screen. These two things, a difference in camera angle and the stretch of the graphic made the image what it is. Again, no intent to deceive. Just a few amateur mistakes.
If the before and after are the same boat. Why then is the new boat so much wider? I call bullshit on this thumbnail.
That looks so good! The attention to detail on the install is clearly evident when all the panels line up AND you managed to get that done with one sheet. Great job!
Thanks. There were two sheets total of the "stuff".
Hey, I ran across your video. Awesome job. Question, what did you use to clean cut the composite?
It will cut with almost any saw. I recommend fine tooth blades. I used Ryobi circular saw and jigsaw for almost everything.
Hey Robb I love the look and style of your boat and was wondering how the sign board is holding up? I was looking for a alternative to aluminum or wood also do you know the weight compared to the same size aluminum panel?
6mm about 1/4” signboard weighs about the same as 1/2” marine ply. Aluminum depends upon how thick you go with. The boat is a year old and has been used maybe 20 times. The signboard is doing well. It is designed to be used outdoors. Lots of rivets is key. You will notice in my design I am riveting signboard to alum angle or with backing washers.
Robb, I have to say, this build is just phenomenal! I have a 12’ flat bottom tracker topper that I am wanting to set up but worry about additional weight from creating the decking... however, You have inspired me greatly! I do have a question about the aluminum composite sheeting... Did you purchase that directly from Piedmont Plastics? Or, big box supply store? I just love this build and greatly appreciate you sharing the videos!
I purchased from a local sign company. Wholesale cost on the 6 mm is about $70 per 4x8 sheet.
what material did u use for the deck
Piedmont Plastics makes a composite signboard. It is 6mm thick pvc with aluminum on both sides. The gray soft material is EVA sold on Amazon.
My head is spinning and my wallet is puckering! WOW! $$$$$ Lol
In one sense it is inexpensive bass boat at $8500 all in.
@@robbhawks2568 Great job!
What an amazing build, the detail and everything is unreal, but I have to think the final result would cost as much if not more since time is $, than just buying a boat set up like this, I just bought this same hull, and man you have really kicked it up!
Thanks. The project took about 6 weeks or so working in the evenings and on weekends. So yes, time is involved. But if time is available and cash is short, this is a reasonable approach.
By you putting the pink foam board down and AKA Luca Bond is the correct terminology for your sign board you made it unsinkable boat you could put as much weight as you want in it
Amazing work!
Pro quality build for sure 👍
Thanks
missing those days so much🥺🥺🥺
How much was the total cost of everything?
About $8500 Trailer $1000 1542 Tracker $1500 15hp Suzuki $2700 2 @ 9" Hook fishfingers $1000 Electrical and Batteries $700 Rivets $100 Aluminum pieces $500 Decking materials $500 The rest is misc.
With the foam under the floor does the boat still drain the water from the front to the back? Are you worried it will just soak into the foam and get moldy?
There are 3 ribs that run the length of the boat. Everything is designed to drain into these ribs which all drain into the rear bulge areA.
I love this. It's been a blessing for us.
Good
The detail and work is amazing to say the least. Smart man 👍😎
Thank you. You are kind.
Good grief the production value of both the video AND the boat are fantastic! Incredible work!
Thank you for your kind comments. Glad you liked the style.
I just finished this entire series and not only do I love the boat but I love your videos too. Your voice over the videos is just so easy to watch and understand. Love it!
Thanks!!!
Good stuff
the sign board is an awesome idea!!!
Preprinted and very strong. So far it has been excellent.
Really nIce zooms. What lens did you shoot with? Thanks!
The cheetah was shot with Canon 100-400. Everything else was shot with Canon 24-105, my go to lens. The video is rendered as a 4K video. Since the footage was acquired in 6K, there is a lot of resolution to work with in post. Thus, there were no camera or lens zooms. All zooms were done while editing in DaVinci Resolve.
@@robbhawks2568 Interesting, thanks Robb!
