O Brother Where Art Thou and Raising Arizona not being top 5 is intolerable his takes on why they aren’t are way off base. I can’t defend this list. FYI: saying of any art “we didn’t need it” is intellectually bankrupt. tisk tisk
Fargo?
There are really no duds in their filmography. They all have their charm
My ranking of the brosnan bond movies BEST to WORST Die another day Tomorrow never dies Goldeneye The world is not enough What do you think of my ranking? Film ranker?
How the hell did he miss Fargo?
I couldnt help but laugh seeing Jack come smashing thru the door with that smile.
Some kind of wonderful
Where would you put The Whale had you made this list today instead of 4 years ago? I like it better than The Wrestler though I see some very clear connections between the too. My favorite is Requiem.
Hail, Caesar should be much higher, certainly higher than Burn Notice, which I would place near the bottom (I haven't seen Ladykillers yet).
SAD DESOPM PREDO HUMBERT HUMERT CHAMELEON quindy joker masks fro d kililing film
Great list
Fargo, no country for old men,the big Lebowski,True grit,Blood simple
The Shining is a great movie, but it shouldn't be considered an adaptation of the novel since Kubrick made so many changes to the original premise. Therefore I do NOT consider The Shining the best film adaptation of a Stephen King novel. Let's look at The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Misery, or Stand by Me instead.
1. Der Spion der mich liebte ❤️ 2. Leben und Sterben lassen 3. in Tödlicher Mission 4. Der Mann mit dem Goldenen Colt 5. Monnraker 6. im Angesicht des Todes 7. Octopussy
Glad you brought attention to the Cohen Brothers. But your descriptions and analysis often sounds like you didn't grasp the movie. Just look at the number of comentors who loved A Serious Man. And O Brother is far from losing energy at any point. You sound like a young man who could develop or mature into a more patient and thoughtful analyzer/presenter. Good luck
David Carradine was not in Escape From LA, so how dependable can these opinions be?
Yes halloween number 1 it is in my heart too ❤❤❤
Wrote a comment on here criticising the video because I went by the chapters. Then seen the final three. Apologies.
Values is amazing!
Did you even put Fargo on the list? Easily their best imo.
No Fargo?
I loved all of them 👍👍😁👌🤗
Rankings are fucking dumb what’s the point
From all Conery movie's as bond. I only remember Tatiana Romanova. That's all.
I find Stanley Kubrick movies interesting, some of his movies can be offensive to some people!
The Shining while BRILLIANT is NOT the best adaptation of Stephen King's work...The Shawshank Redemption is
Buster Scruggs, is my favourite, don't expect any one of you ferrets to agree.
1. Beetlejuice 2. PeeWee's Big 3. Edward Scissor 4. Nightmare Before 5. Ed Wood 6. Sleepy Hollow 7. Batman 8. Frankenweenie 9. Mars Attacks 10. Batman Returns 11. Corpse Bride 12. Sweeney Todd 13. Big Fish 14. Dark Shadows then, everything else
They did't actually read all of The Odyssey? As if that weren't apparent from watching the film ...
"Burn After Reading is an insane mess". Ethan and Joel will forever leave their fascinating mark on Hollywood, but this one was better left in the can. And I think they both would own up to it.
No Country for Old men Fargo Big Lebowski True Grit Blood Simple Burn after Reading a Serious Man Raising Arizona The Man who wasn’t there buster Scrubbs Intolerable cruelty
Is Inside Llewan Davis good? I need to rewatch. It was a bummer the first time. I love the cohen brothers so much. I hope they get back to the basics and make some more classics
The man who wasn't there shouldn't be ranked above hudsucker proxy, much less a serious man and raising Arizona
A Serious Man should be in the top 5.
My top 5 1- The thing 2- Halloween 3- Christine 4-Escape from New York 1997 5-They alive
All are great films but my least favorite is Barry Lyndon mainly because of the main actor Ryan O'Neal, who I find annoying.
One of my favorite directors but after seeing this list I realized that a lot of his films suck. Jaws is one of the best.
Good list but O Brother Where Art Thou should be much higher. I’d move True Grit down a few spots to help make room for it. Man, I miss the Coens. I know they’re still doing some things independently of each other but I wish they’d get back together and renew their creative partnership. They’re among the greatest filmmakers of all time!
American Beauty only number 4?? Hell's horses!
1. Inception 2. Interstellar 3. Memento 4. The Prestige 5. Batman Begins 6. The Dark Knight 7. Oppenheimer 8. The Dark Knight rISES 9. Following 10. Tenet 11. Dunkirk
I don’t think I’ve ever identified as deeply with a movie character as I did with Billy Bob Thornton’ s in “The Man Who Wasn’t There.”
Whenever the Coens need a plot engine to hang all their weird ideas on, they use a kidnapping.
Those are the 19 movies I watched of him from favorite to least favorite: 1 - E.T. (1982) 2 - Jaws (1975) 3 - Ready Player One (2018) 4 - Indiana Jones 3 (1989) 5 - Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind (1977) 6 - Munich (2005) 7 - Jurassic Park 1 (1993) 8 - Indiana Jones 4 (2008) 9 - Indiana Jones 2 (1984) 10 - Indiana Jones 1 (1981) 11 - The Fabelmans (2022) 12 - The Post (2017) 13 - Tintin (2011) 14 - The Terminal (2004 15 - Jurassic Park 2 (1997) 16 - Hook (1991) 17 - Catch Me If You Can (2002) 18 - The BFG (2016) 19 - West Side Story (2021)
7. Diamonds, a few fun bits but still the worst of his double o seven Bonds. 6. Dr No, good one with plenty of room for improvement. 5. Never, absolutely Not the worst, with a badder Largo than Thunderball's, good cinematic fun. 4. From Russia, great spy movie, one which Hitchcock did slightly approve and set his sights on its leading man for his own next film. 3. Goldfinger, Aston Martin DB5, enough said. 2. Thunderball, best looking babe in Auger, the most hair-raising final fight, and Tom Jones. 1. You Only. Exotic. Exciting. Sexy. Absolute blast from start to finish.
Not gonna lie muppets most wanted has to be my favorite I’m a late 2000’s kid so I kind of grew up on that movie
Wow, I went into this video almost certain that Miller's Crossing would be either #1 or #2! It is a Masterpiece!
You missed a really interesting second layer to Miller's Crossing, which is the Mink/Bernie/Eddie love triangle which mirrors the main one.
12. Knight and Day (Just a plain old action with absolutely nothing special) 11. Kate & Leopold (I’m not a Rom com guy. I do appreciate the concept tho) 10. Dial of Destiny (A bland, lifeless film, but it’s at least better than Crystal Skull) 9. Heavy (Has the problems that most directorial debuts suffer from. It’s good enough tho) 8. Girl Interrupted (I’ve never understood the insane love for this film. It’s okay imo) 7. The Wolverine (Was actually REALLY good until that 3rd act which sucks!) 6. Identity (Why do people hate this film? I love Identity so much and I think the twist really works) 5. Cop Land (The cast is stacked, but that’s not where the greatness ends! It’s just great!) 4. Walk the Line (One of the best biopics of all time imo. Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix are both obviously great) 3. 3:10 To Yuma (One of Mangold’s most entertaining films. It has a great cast and bursts personality onto the screen) 2. Ford v. Ferrari (There’s a reason this film was such an Oscar sweep. It took a boring concept and made it exciting) 1. Logan (One of the best comic book movies of all time! The action’s great and it’s so emotionally driven)
The shining isn't #2? Weird
1. Fargo
