The End of Summer - Super 8 Film
Filmed in 2022 on a Minolta Autopak-8 K3 with 50D Kodak film
This was purely a test run for this camera, as I purchased it for only £10 on eBay. Let’s just say that I was more than surprised when I got the footage back. For those wanting to get into filming on super 8, don’t sleep on the cheaper cameras! Yes the Canon’s are nice and compact, but if you’re on a budget, save your money for the film and processing costs.

Relief Printmaking Using a Laser Cutter
Переглядів 5 тис.3 роки тому
Hey Guys, Just a short video today. We received a new laser cutter at work so I decided to use one of my more detailed illustrations in combination with the machine to create a relief printing block. This is just a quick video to show how it went. I lost a bit of detail in some areas because my linework was too thin, so this is something I will need to consider in the future. However, I don’t t...

So well explained from a to z… most other tutorials I’ve found have been incomplete. Thanks you! ❤
Love this tutorial and the details! What's the ink that you're using? Is it water soluble block printing ink? And would any regular A4 size paper work?
I can not thank you enough seriously I've watched so much tutorials on this but yours was by far the best and most easiest to understand🔥 ❤
I’ll tell you what you got a subscriber here!! Been wanting to do this with my designs for the longest and all the videos i looked up didn’t easily explain like you did! Thank you look forward to working with CMYK
Best tutorial for this I have seen in 10 years.
I was pulling my hair trying to sort this. Even chat got couldn’t help lol. Thanks for your help.
So beautiful! What laser was used?
This is nice! Is this in Italy?
Thanks, and nah, England 😅
Not even close! Awesome work! @@indieillo
Was this cut on mdf?
Yes
This was super helpful to me! Thank you
i'm having trouble, each time i paste it back to my new doc in cmyk. it doesnt paste in the same postion. it paste all over my canvs. i tried moving them but each time i move it , the color stains the channel.
Have you tried centre aligning them rather than moving them manually?
Hey thanks for the video, when I go to print this they all came out printed looking the same?
Are you switching the layers off and on?
@@indieilloI have the same problem
After converting the channels to bitmap photoshop isn’t letting me copy and paste into a new document. The layers are locked. Any ideas for what I should do?
Switch them back to grayscale and you should be able to unlock the layers
Great explanation thank you soo much!
tks i got struggle in these
Used this a lot with my younger students. Simple and great fun.
nice 1
Thank you very much, the tutorial is clear and simple, thanks !
Concise and to the point. Excellent pacing. Iconic. Every time I go through this process I always watch somebody do it on UA-cam and your video honestly was so quick and easy. I really appreciate it. Thank you.
How do you register this to a screen?
great vid, how to add white background
I'm surprised you didn't zoom in close at the end to show us the 4 colors of halftone dots! I was waiting to see that.
thakn
well at this point just use a inkjet and print it on paper
Shit I never thought of that!
@@indieillo The stupid stuff some people come out with, beggars belief... Anyway, great job. I want to make some hand printed Xmas cards in a woodcut style and am going to use my laser to make the printing blocks. Seeing how well your print came out has inspired me to get going.
Nice video. Do you need to add registration marks to align the images when screen printing? Also, what order do you print the different colors?
THANK YOU!! this was perfect!
Thank you! Best tutorial on this I've come across!
Thank you great theacher
This is great, best tutorial I've come across for CMYK
What is the name of that type of press?
Hi, it’s an Albion Press
PLEASE TURN OFF THE MUSIC.
You know the volume button exists right?
nice work! did u use a fiberboard for the linocut ?
Yeah it’s 6mm MDF
Could we use a scoring tool for ceramics as our sharp object?
Give it a go! As long as the tool makes a solid enough indentation that the material will hold then it should hopefully work 😊
@indieillo Thanks!
I’m definitely trying this out. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you for the video, I was following every step but for some reason it doesn't let me copy and paste the bitmap images into the final document. Any advice for that? Thanks!
Is the layer locked?
@@indieillo same, can't copy....
Change the image mode back to grayscale ( & you may need to unlock the layer by clicking the padlock) and it should allow you to copy
@@indieillo I'm having the same problem. I can copy but it won't let me paste.
I have a similar problem, I can copy but when I paste nothing appears, only the selection box without the image
Thank you ❤
Quite an old video, but the clearest and most straightforward explanation I’ve found. Deserves many more views. Particularly liked the use of PS Essentials. Thanks very much.
Loved it!! Your footage is really pretty, this made me want to film something on my own super 8 camera
this is so nice, had the best summer ever this year
This brings back memories of child hood, many decades in the past. Lol Thank you for sharing.😊
Just loved and gonna try them all ❤
Awful music very disturbing
so glad you enjoyed it
Gimp has a filter called Newsprint (filter->distorts->newsprint) and it can split all the colors, but only to a single layer so you need to magic wand select each color and create seperate layers
One of the best videos I've watched on book binding ❤
Great video, must give this a go!!
tnx a lot!!!
This is the only video I could find that explains this process and you did it perfectly! Thanks
You are the only video that laid this out perfectly could never get this down with any other videos on YT Thank you!!
Hi! My printer is asking not only for this but also to have each color as a layer on the file. I've managed to figure out how to convert the channels into layers, but once I do that and color overlay each layer with its respective cmyk color, my artwork doesn't look accurate at all. Do you have any tips for this situation?
simple and excellent technique. Really good for testing out an image as a drypoint before committing to copper for a longer edition. Thank you.
