Today he is known to have been the catalyst, together with his then newly-diagnosed,32-yeaar-old daughter, for his wife's establishment of theCanadian Hemochromatosis Societyin 1980,theHaemochromatosis Society of South Africa,1987. Tom Warder the brilliant self taught, left-handed mandolin player was a man of many talents, [commons.wikimedia.or...

Hemochromatosis Awareness in SOUTH AFRICA (BILINGUAL)
Переглядів 1,1 тис.14 років тому
The Bronze Killer was written by Marie Warder with two urgent purposes in mind: firstly to sound the alert so that others would not have to go through the same thing because of ignorance on their part or that of their physicians; and, secondly, to share - with anyone who was not familiar with hemochromatosis - all that her familys bitter experience had taught her. It has also become the story o...

DELTA DEAS ROWING CLUB
Переглядів 91014 років тому
Went out on few autumn mornings and filmed my friend and her buddies rowing. I was in the support boat, a small aluminum car topper . I mostly used my GH-1 and the stock lens and plus some Sony HVR V1U plus my trusty Manfrotto monopod. All shot in 720p. I was going to use my Merlin but unfortunately it's being repaired, ( No fault of my own ) I could have gone real crazy with this video but I w...

Some more test footage on my new GH-1. I wasn't really into it but it was a nice day, short 'n sweet. Edited in FCP with no cc but I did mess around with a few settings on the camera, don't ask,I've forgotten. I used a Manfrotto monopod #561 BHDV, it's amazing, it stands up on it's own , even with the camera on it, just don't leave it. This goes with me everywhere now. Can anyone help me get th...
April Rd / Ioco Rd into Port Moody, St Johns St, 1988
Переглядів 19 тис.14 років тому
Have a look and see how Port Moody has changed in 21 years.
Video pops up on my list 15 years after it was posted, and 36 years after the original 1988. If you think Port Moody changed in the original 21 years, see what the last 15 have done. Almost unrecognizable. Some of the original comments are 15 years old as well. Pretty cool. If anyone reads my comment 15 years from today, I'll likely be dead. A pathologically lying bag of shit will be US President, having won over another senile old man. Good luck and godspeed, UA-cam and Twilight Zone, I'll miss you both.
Fascinating. So recognizable yet so much has changed. LOL water beds and .45/l for gas!
Hello Roger, I'm amazed by the beauty of Ioco Rd. Your video captures it perfectly! Would you mind if I shared it on my Instagram? Of course, I'll credit you. I want to showcase the charm of Port Moody and highlight its evolution with the new city plan. Looking forward to your response!
Funny thing as a Scouser of Irish extraction the whole joke was to send up the tropes and sterotypes that would offend but in reality ended up exposing the real xenophobes, that was the intelligence of humour 40 years or so ago, nowadays you'd offend a bee if you called it "two toned".
So funny
bzzzt, on yer way😂
Right in the niagra falls
Victor sounding more like Victor in this one
Great character actors and bloody funny too.
I 'm going down the booooooozer ! Old moo , lend me 10 bob !
😂😂😂
As a born bred Irishman, I think this is hilarious 😂😂 When did we lose the ability to laugh at ourselves without taking offence
Love them still laugh even over 100 times
Comedy at it's best!
I just finished my last year of of high school at Port Moody High School, last year. Dang, I miss this place, all the memories...

Anyone hear about a club change “ploughman’s” to “ploughperson’s” to please the bloody flaming woke’s!
Was that dude or a chick driving?
Wow I remember ever single thing ! I drove the same route 1000’s of times . In 1988 I graduated from PMSS . I worked at the Chevron in 1987 . It was owned by Bob Pernoski . Such great memories
changed a bit since then - I went to that Bob Dylan concert mentioned on CFMI, Tracey Chapman was great Dylan was awful. One of my first dates with my g/f and eventual mother of my children.
“On your way” cracks me up every time
I kinda feel bad for Jack, he obviously didn’t mean to shock Victor so it seemed rotten that Victor did the same thing to Jack right in the bollocks. Definitely a funny moment, but still, poor Jack.
Bzzzz on yer way
“This’ll sort these bastards out at the shops” 😁. You can tell it’s Chewin’ the Fat as Jack has a different surname. Why was this never in SG? Missed a trick there.
Nae hair-em done!
Psstttt on your way
That looks like a DC-10 wing. Canadian Pacific?

My first drive on the IOCO road was in 1977 on a school bus field trip to tour the new BC Hydro Power Generation plant. It seemed more remote looking then! This presentation is 'priceless'. 6:58 Gas at 45.9/liter with industry trades rate about $25/hr then; say $40 now means gas should be about 74.9/liter today...comparatively!
Apparently after introduction of interment parts of Belfast and Derry, sealed their areas off with barricades, in order to stop the army coming in to arrest them. These areas were called 'no-go' areas, as army vehicles and British army soldier's could not get in. See cain.org
What are the 'no go areas'?
Between 1969 and 1972, Irish nationalist/republican neighborhoods in Belfast and Derry were sealed off with barricades by residents
@mickb44 The Peace Walls still stand in Belfast. Why can't we just live & let live conflict helps no one. I am Scottish but in Belfast on holiday head back tomorrow lunchtime.
Comedy at its best
Right in the Davina McCalls.
I think I've damaged myself laughing.
Sorry about the camera control and zooming, this was one of my early attempts with a camcorder.
I was not born at that time and I’m so surprised what my house and Port Moody looked like back then no tall buildings and idk I’m overall shocked
Wow this so cool to see what it look like So much trees
By the way the music track is this : ua-cam.com/video/M5ItVZYCcNo/v-deo.html i Looked for it for a couple hours. You're welcome :)
the guy who published this looks like Walter white
I just wish a similar video had been done of Pinetree Way in Coquitlam way back in 1988.
Go Alf!
Thanks
I graduated from Centennial sr in 88 then moved away. I finally got back there in 2019 and this once beautiful place is nothing but beige condos and third world invaders, it doesn't matter where you go now it's all just Canadastan! I will NEVER call myself Canadian ever again after this heartbreaking experience!
Your a douche, and we don't want you back. Good day to you.
i love everything about this but especially the ads on the radio. wish we still had a bowling alley, theres nothing for youth to do around here anymore but get drunk
Port Moody looks similar today
Disagree.. looks very different especially with all the new buildings in new port that dont exist here.
@@riotctrl yes all that is different, but ST Johns looked similar apart from a few new buildings.
What was that music on the radio

So crazy to see how places like Dino's, the Port Moody Inn, and the plant shop and bowling alley are gone, but the St. Johns and Moody street strip mall remain basically the same aha! Love this video! Hope I can find some more.
