I see Mayfield for a sort of a softer prequel to One Day Remains the first album by Alter Bridge. Alter Bridge doesn't really have very many soft songs but a few songs that sound similar to this one in terms of melody are Shed my Skin, Broken Wings, and Battleground from the Myles/Slash and the Conspirators album
