If Allah put inside of men the desire to look at beauty, and if Allah put inside of women the desire to look beautiful, then it is obviously because Allah felt it was right for women to look beautiful and for men to admire their beauty. Allah doesn't make mistakes; why are you second-guessing Allah? Do not doubt Allah knew what is right and good.

If all humans are kind and unbiased, nobody needs a curtain. Your discipline should be cultivated within. Men try to look like God infront of all women but very least who actually protects them or even value their strength. Whole earth is made of the blood of our mothers. So accurately described, I have tears in my eyes, yes it is difficult for women, not because they want men to look at them but sometimes they are ridiculed for their hijab and simple dressing and they are cast out of groups because they are considered rigid, stubborn and backward. But with the help and mercy of Allah, we overcome these insults and deprivations. The hardest part which becomes torturous is when your husband looks at those women who are in full make up and showing their beauty and keeps looking at them as if intoxicated, or as if he has forgotten everything else. This thing just cuts the heart of the wife letting the heart bleed. 😢

I disagree with NAK stance here. The first ayah he quoted is a reported speech of a misogynist man and NAK says Allah says this, not me! Very surprising. I hope this is an old video. How could a Creator give such blanket negative statement about His creation. This ayah instead shows how society perceived and raised women and expected them to look. Women like to look clean and nice, just like men do, or like all humans, not necessarily attractive and beautiful. Definitely very sweeping generalizations in this video. Islam is made easy by such scholars whose total focus is appearance, and once you APPEAR Muslim, congrats you have the certificate of approval of the company, even if you are a corrupt to the core person.

Btw women also have high intelligence. Society shapes attitudes. Encourage girls to develop their intellectual capacities and they will value it. Society should also value it. BTW every human likes to look good.

You've said it. It's a natural instinct, we were made that way. Women do not have to look like dishcloths. I want to look pretty for me!!! We are not responsible for you or your sexuality. You have control, use it. We are expected to cover modestly, no specifics given, and the majority do and I'm fine with that. We all know men and women covered from head to toe, doesn't make them all good, chaste or righteous.

I guess I’ll be the devil’s advocate here, this perspective seems to suggest women don’t also have a desire to “look” and men don’t also have a desire to be attractive, let alone the capability to be. The shaming of women with normal sexual urges is absurd.
