Hybrid Striped Bass Fishing - Percy Priest Nashville TN
I had a few hours after work to go chase some fish so I hooked the boat up and drove down to the lake! We were able to find a nice school of Hybrid Striped Bass in the upper end of the lake between two islands, suspended in about 25 ft of water next to a ledge. Turned on the Garmin Livescope and started throwing shad pattern + chartreuse swimbaits at them and it was on.

Livescope Hybrid Striped Bass/Wiper Beatdown!!! Percy Priest Nashville TN
Переглядів 11 тис.2 роки тому
I just got a new Garmin Livescope system installed on my boat, so I went out to Percy Priest lake near Nashville, TN to do some vertical jigging for Hybrid Striped Bass/Wipers and White Bass! This was only my second trip out with the Livescope, and it was my first time vertical jigging for these fish so I'm definitely still learning. I was using a Bass Pro Shop Fish Eagle 7 ft medium light spin...
Summer Bass Fishing Percy Priest Lake - Whopper Plopper + Deep Cranks!!

Summer is here in Tennessee, and it has been hot! In this video we go out to the lake to see if we can get a few top water fish early in the morning using Whopper Plopper 90s, and then later in the day when the temperatures rise we switch things up and start throwing some deep diving crankbaits in a Shad pattern on points and ledges!
Fishing Shallow Water Bass On The Rocks! Post-Spawn Bass Percy Priest

Today I took the boat out to Percy Priest reservoir near Nashville, TN and focused on shallow water post-spawn bass that were hanging near rocky bottom areas. I caught the best fish out of 2-5 feet of water. The most productive baits for these areas were a shallow diving square bill crankbait (white/shad colors) and a white 3/8th oz Chatterbait with a 3 1/2 inch Strike King white swim bait as a...

I was out on Percy Priest lake in Nashville, Tennessee early in the morning doing some practice fishing for an upcoming tournament when I stuck this 20 inch smallmouth bass! We found a small pocket in the bend of the river that had tons of white bass in pre-spawn mode and they were biting pretty good! Cumberland River Crappie Fishing - Winter Crappie Bite is on!

    If I travel there, where can I park to go wade fishing on the river. I thought I saw a campground on the video. I've never caught a smallmouth but I've been researching everything about it and watching videos. Any help is appreciated. I live several hours from this river, but I would like to take a tent up there and fish a couple of days. Can I camp near where you fished?

    • @dicksonoutdoors2984
      @dicksonoutdoors2984 2 роки тому

      The Piney River is surrounded by private property - the only place to park or camp and get wading access is a place called Pinewood Canoe & Camp. You can pay to park for the day or camp, and you can wade the river and its tributary creeks all day/night long. The river is filled with Smallmouth and Rock Bass (some easily over the state trophy size of 10"). Some of the tributaries that feed the river are also stocked with Rainbow Trout during the winter months and some make their way into the Piney River. It is a spring fed river so the water temps stay nice and cool all year long. Good luck!

      If you're on the bank, try around the Hobson Pike bridge - cast out into the channel, they will hold at about 15-25 feet deep near drop offs or humps. Go to navionics.com and look at the chart viewer to find those drop offs and humps that you can reach from the bank. If from a boat, look near channel drop offs and channel bends, humps or depressions on flats.

    Some of the best livescope video footage I've seen.....I have to get one of these systems but they are so dang expensive. Throw top water early - spook, whopper plopper and weightless fluke in shad colors. Once they stop busting top water throw squarebill cranks, an underspin or jerk bait at rocky banks 3-5 ft of water - look for shade lines and pull your bait in front of the shade. From noon - 5 they'll be out deep on deep points and main river channel ledges. Deep cranks or drop shot should get it done. Evening they'll come back up shallow and hit top water and shallow cranks. Good luck!
